  • This movie really helped me in a personal way. I laugh and smile a lot more now. I can appreciate the little things.. Sad movie though

  • The author of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' absolutely hated this movie. He even sued the producers. Read the real book or play if you want the real story.

  • Billy Bibbit is friggen adorable....

  • am i the only one who is in love with miss ratched... idk why but i am, i know shes a bitch cause ive seen the movie, but something about her drives me insane. Im 20 years old, still really havnt found my type of women yet... maybe since ive been dating dumb cell phone girls. Im thinking maybe power, repressed sexual actions like she clearly has

  • I am 17 years old and never before has a movie touched me in such a way. It saddens me to feel that no other movie will be as good as this masterpiece...it made me feel so moved, it made me laugh, cry, and experience things that those poor people felt in the movie. I only wish it was possible to hug Jack to thank him for such a gift of a movie!

  • @redheadrockchick wounderful comment....jack would be proud to have fans such as yourself :)

  • @1995yuda thank you so much, that made my day! :)

  • @redheadrockchick you deserve more days like that ;)

  • robert pattinson should be in the remake

  • @FinnFoxx Totally agree!

  • Might Watch It. But That Theramin Is Freaking Me Out.

  • mmmmm juicy fruit.

  • Because in drunk i can watch whole movie.

  • This is maybe the best movie. Watched n times again. Speciall in drunk its great and nurse ratched is so sexy, heh.

  • Deservedly won ALL 5 major Academy Awards in 1975. Best Film, Best Director - Milos Forman, Best Actor, Best Actress, & Best Screenplay. Hadn't been done since 1939's, "It Happened One Night". Unreal ensemble cast, as well. Realistic portrayal of "mental institutions" were like in the early 1960's. My third favorite movie of all-time. Utterly compelling.

  • @3244gorilla Then comes titanic and Lord of the Rings!

  • a very beautiful funny but sad film :( i love it

  • Fuck! Danny Devito with full head of hair!

  • Nicholson rocks, he's one of the greatest actors of all-time

  • PERFECT MOVIE

  • my favorite jack nickleson movie. It's so damn great. All the actors are flawless in their performances.

  • Greatest movie ever for all time

  • "Who do you think you are, crazy or something?" LOL @ their faces at 1:30. I'm currently reading the book - I find it interesting that the author decided to narrate the story from the Chief's point of view.

  • @TaekoBored It's a great movie i really thanked my mom for buy it she told me that she lioved it and so did I, i'm also reading the book right now.

  • the book is really goooood

  • this is one of my favorite movies. feel free to watch YOU SYMBOLIZE HOPE

  • music used in l4d2 :D

  • This is actually the greatest film ever made

  • I work in a care home for elderly people as an assistant chef, when their main meal is being served the other care workers put on classical music, every time it comes on i think of this film the feeling is very surreal! This film is amazing, one that should and will never be forgotten.

  • Who else thinks Jack Nickolson looks like a younger Johnny Knoxville?

  • @EdwardCullenBabe95 yesss and sounds exactly like him too

  • @EdwardCullenBabe95 No, it's the other way around. Knoxville looks like Nicholson.

  • @ttarkus True.

  • I love this movie and Jack he is a great actor!! I can't describe the feelings when i am watching this movie...

  • Ken Kesey, the author of the novel, really wanted Kirk Douglas to play the lead. He told David Letterman he'd never seen the movie and never planned to, I don't know if he ever changed his mind. He pictured McMurphy as a more physically imposing man than Nicholson.

  • 121212-121212-121212-121212-121212

Give me that woman in a bag of moths.

Cheeseburger and fries. Coke in a shoe-horn.

  • This is the masterpiece of films Nicholson is a genius!!!

  • I swear, this music...

  • Holy shit side boob!!

  • Watched King's Speech & Black Swan. Later I saw this flim on tv the a week or so ago at midnight. Blow BOTH films out of the water completely.

Recieved the big 5 at the Oscars. Now I know why. In my top 10 films of all time.

  • One of my favourute movies of all time.

  • the parts that make me cry are when he tells them they aren't crazy, when billy stops than starts his stutter again and the end with chief and murphy:( it was such a great movie my dad made me watch it the other day....

  • 0:52, Hi i'm Johnny Knoxville and this is 'the water hose'.

  • am i the only one who's been more affected by the book

  • is it voice of George W Bush on Jack Nicholoson ? :D

  • stop @ 2:15 and u see a younger version of Tim Robbins.

  • Comment removed

  • Jack Nicholoson in this or the shining? Comment your pick

  • @Soadsgotaload

    THIS

  • @Laubotje I agree but he is pretty incredible in the shining

  • @Soadsgotaload he is an incredible actor. he scared the shits outta me in the shining and im not one to scare easy

  • @0004haon He really is I love him. Yeah he does for me too

  • I remember seeing this as a theatre on Tv here in Sweden. I was very affected by it. I think I even cried.

  • I wonder if Doc traveled back in time so he could be in this movie.

  • From several people over the years, I've heard this movie was beautiful and amazing. Then, on a sale, I randomly saw this movie in the shelves and I decided to buy it. Now I've just watched it, and I have to say, this movie is one of the strongest, most special movies I've ever seen. Music is amazing. Characters is amazing. Story is amazing. Actors is amazing. If you haven't seen this movie or don't want to see it, you're really missing something. This movie is abseloutely superb.

  • @macherie016 the movie is better than the book

  • @macherie016 getting it now...I won't say how though

    ;)

  • @macherie016 If you read the book, you will realize how much better the book is. It is not even close

  • @RaniumintheCranium Is almost always like that though.

The book tends to be better while the movie is restricted on many things.

  • what mistake are you talking about that's what doesnt make sense? and this is a really stupid argument i was making a comment and obviously people agreed with me fuck your annoying

  • "medication time its medication time"

  • I just want to slap that nurse

  • who agrees that young jack nicholson looks and sounds just like johnny knoxville?

  • @EEF21 It's the other way around, Knoxville looks and sounds like Nicholson a bit, not LIKE U SAID. Damn. Nicholson is older than Knoxville, just for your information..

  • @ttarkus no shit sherlock i meant the younger version of nicholson sounds like knoxville

  • @EEF21 Yea,, still the other way around..

  • @ttarkus you're either autistic or incredibly dumb read it

  • @EEF21 lol you made the mistake here, not me.. If someone here is dumb, it's you.

  • At the beginnin, when Jack Nicholson starts laughing, I laughed HARD. It was so unexpected xD

  • I don't even hate the nurse; i don't take her side or jack's, i mean she had a hard fucking job you gotta admit..and once you get near the end you should really start to see from her perspective. I think the nurse in this movie is commonly, incorrectly identified as the villain. This movie is much deeper than that :)

  • @05brassmonkey in the book she is clearly made out to be the villain, but yes the movie doesn't do her justice

  • @Jakdakson bummer, the hero/villain dichotomy is so boring! I very much prefer having two sides to the coin ;)

  • You know how much people are sexually deprived when they get emotionally excited having a glimpse of someone's side boob on a movie trailer.

  • HA! The Doctor Emmet Brown finally ended up in a looney bin

  • Niiiiiice sideboob @2:02

    Slow, solemn clapter...

  • wowww Jack Nicholson use to look and sound just like Johnny Knoxville back in the day.

  • Oh man what a bitch that nurse is.

  • awesome creazy movie with J. Nicholson

  • song sounds like a mosquito singing the blues

  • i'm quite too surprise at the ending.. i didn't expect this kind of ending.. how come mcmurphy's the one who died finally.. he's supposed to kill that bitch.. n run.. why took him so long to choke that bitch..

he n the chief supposed to escape those hell..

the ending is too cruel n not fair for mcmurphy himself...

  • @daybreaker7 dude..this video is a trailer not a video discussion of the ending, you can expect people who havent read it/seen it to kinda not want to read spoilers ...

  • @chibixaileen then don't read the comments...

  • @ybidiotic why wouldnt i? they're there for a purpose buddy..

  • @chibixaileen that's like saying it's mcdonald's fault for americas obesity... but it's our own fault. you're makin the choice to read em, but no one ever said you had to. and you shouldn't so you don't ruin the ending for yourself! you're stepping in poop right now and asking "why wouldnt i?" basically.

  • @ybidiotic this is a trailer! lmao dont comment that stuff here!? i like to read peoples opinions, not what happens at the end?

  • As usual, the trailer does not do the movie justice. Everything is taken out of context and looks cheesy.

  • i must've missed the boat...

  • when i pictured McMurphy in my head when reading the book, i most certainly did NOT picture Jack Nicholson :P

  • "Aw, come on, you're not going to say that now. You're not going to say that now! You're going to pull that hen house shit now when the vote....the Chief just voted. It was ten to nine! Now I want that television set turned on right now!!" ~ McMurphy

  • man i didn't like the ending not very happy one.

  • He's given these people so much... Mac's probably my fave movie character. And Jack's my all-time-fave actor, he's the best. <3

  • I swear Christian Slater was cloned from Jack Nicholson's DNA. Same eyebrows, same voice, same bone structure...it's really uncanny.

  • @metroboy27 Except Slater is a piece of shit actor and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Nicholson.

  • PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

PULL UP! Alright, take him over!

  • such a great, inspiratinal film. nearly cried when rpm died:(

  • @MRCrackerShaq96

way to ruin the movie for people that didn't watch it fuck tard.

  • 20 people are cuckoo

  • I just saw this one for the first time, the end of the movie was epic!

  • holy crap nickolson looks like jonny knoxville its weird and uncanny

  • @Neniaituar i was just think the same thing about how much they resemble each other, jack nicholson and johnny knoxville

  • @Neniaituar haha. unfortunatelly,true.

  • Great book

  • I don't think this rally conveys the movie's brilliance well enough

  • nurse ratched disliked the vid 18 times

  • 2:00^^

  • I still can't believe Martini was played by Danny DeVito. He looks so different. I mean, he was younger but still.

  • Those eyebrows, those beautiful eyebrows. They will go down as some of the greatest eyebrows in Hollywood history, along with Martin Scosese's, Marlene Dietrich's and Eugene Levy's. Ahh.. Eyebrows.

  • @brandon91616 don't forget Peter Gallagher!

  • This movie shows how actors these days should act. He's a legend and always will be. I've never seen anyone act as good as that!

  • Miloš Forman!

  • this is a great film even though it made me cry. #2 in my book next to The Silence of the Lambs

  • @Nightmastercool97 funny you chose that, SotL also won the 5 major categories!

  • The greatest movie trailer of all time for the greatest movie of all time!

  • I gotta read this book for a report :D I just love it!

  • One of the best book I've ever read by the way.

  • Best Male Acting Performances of the 1970's: 1. Marlon Brando, The Godfather (1972) 2. Robert De Niro, Taxi Driver (1976) 3. Jack Nicholson, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) 4. Robert De Niro, The Godfather, Part II (1974) 5. George C. Scott, Patton (1970) 6. Peter Finch, Network (1976) 7. Christopher Walken, The Deer Hunter (1978) 8. One of the best actors I know is a couple of eyebrows called Jack Nicholson x)

  • I can't take this seriously, the background music is just soooooo freaky\funny

  • 18 people didnt fly over the cuckoo's nest yet

  • @REDSKlNS21 ....I would suggest that 18 people have flown over the cuckoos nest!!!!

  • OMG, is that Jerry Garcia? ;p

  • 17 PEOPLE ARE THE FUCKING LUNATICS!

  • I freaking love this movie! I first watched it when I was 5 and I can't help but watch it every single time they air it on tv.

  • I watched the play yesterday, best play ever...

  • I don't understand why the chief killed mac at the end... why did he do that?

  • @neggum321

see the movie again and then you will understand why

  • @neggum321 he got a lobotomy. Read the book.

  • @neggum321 He mercy killed him so that the Nurse wouldn't be able to make an example out of him for other patients to show what happens if they don't behave.

  • @cracka93 ...it was a mercy killing to put Mac out of his misery, and not because the nurse could make an example of him for other patients!! Did you not watch the film?

  • @neggum321 coz mac got drugged and brainwashed for real. and the chief knew that this is no life mac would have wanted.

  • I just saw a chick's nipple in a movie trailer, I love the '70s!

  • @uboostivtec ahaha

  • @harojamesninja best book ever too :)

  • Ain't nobody jerkin off nowhere, motherfucker!

  • this movie is so freakin awesome! :D
