  • Its not a hologram! The people in the room can't see it, they just add the person to the footage as they broadcast it.

  • NO CNN! you explained us how you film the person but WE are interested in HOW YOU PROJECT them in a 3d form. until then its fake final.

  • they still never have explained anything

  • Jew made fake hologram and then talks about how he went to israel.

Wow cnn is infested by jews so bad I can't even watch one video without haring the word israel or a jewish name.

    America is dead!

  • Every hologram video on YouTube has comments begging for it to be fuckable.

  • It's definitely not hologram, it's Augmented Reality since the 3D image is rendered on the computer and not on the physical world

  • That isn't a hologram, because the announcer guy can't physically see it. More like special effects.

  • Fake crap. Scum bags at CNN tricking DUMB people to get ratings. SHAME on these propaganda peddlers!

  • @garoad2 you must be from Fox??????????

  • @MrUnsugarcoated Fuck Fox! And fuck you too for being such a dumb ass! You like being lied to?

  • I want to see a hologram fight

  • Nice...

  • he spent years tryN do this how about spend more time in the gym and out of mac dos

  • What a waste, might as well have just got him into the studio...

  • that is not a hologram it is only special effects

  • Amazing how many people really think this is how holograms work. They work with powerful lasers, lenses, mirrors, and speacial filmplates not greenscreens, computers, and camers...well today I guess they coulod use computers for the lasers. They were built over 50 years ago when computers and greenscreens were no where in sight. Check out 'KATE MOSS HOLOGRAM' to see what true holograms look like.

  • TROLLIN

  • way to boost your ratings cnn you phony ass lickers

  • @NakedJKid actually, Stephen said that to him it looked like star trek holograms...he said that he could see it. So he tried to convince people.

  • Should have known fat bastard was behind this!

  • this is not a hologram its just a synchronized image in relation to the camera at the studio. the guy cant even see her, he may say he does see her just like news reporters may say there in Afghanistan when they are in front of a green screen. same technology as green screening but just using as she said more cameras. a real hologram actually uses a giant set of mirrors and lasers to create a image.

  • But will it blend. That is the question

  • Ok so how did they get the holographic image in the CNN studio? They're would have to be some kind of image receiver and sound capturing device. I mean when the reporters were standing there on set, wouldn't there have to be mirror like recording devices or some shit?? I don't, impressive stuff!

  • The life of a schnitzel

  • wait, did will.i.am. spit gum into his hand and give it to a dude?

  • @drumingram he had a tissue in his hand.

  • he had to go to Israel!! to get something to finish the technology? so this must be one of the things the Antichrist will use to deceive ppl?

  • can you fuck it? CAN YOU FUCK IT!?!?!

  • @Ifrekinlovecookies Yes, you can fuck it. Just pull out your dick and start fucking the air.

  • a Camera cannot catch the hologram due to the face that its all coded. ever try taping your computer screen with a camera?

  • Fake. I can do this with a green screen. He never explains how the image was "projected" into the studio. How convenient to leave that explanation out.

  • Every comment on this is so retarded. At no point did CNN try to convince anyone that they could actually see the "hologram" in the studio. Just watch the first video from the interview with Jessica. She explains the technology there and then. If you thought they could see her it's because you're retarded and didn't listen to what was said.

  • So... 40 cameras film a person instead of one camera filming them... the result is still the same: the image is projected into the homes of the viewers, and the news anchor sees nothing.

How is that a 'hologram' ? It's no more than a complicated green screen colour seperation overlay.

  • Stop saying it's fake you retards. How much evidence do you need? Just because you can't use it yet doesn't mean it's fake. BTW, go outside and play you losers xD

  • is it 4 realz?

  • They are so happy about how there are many viewers watching their CNN gig ... little do they know the people watching are angry about their fake HOMOGRAM ...

  • intimate huh? yeah u have a hologram at home with some feel sensation shit on the thing and u pick a girl and waammm. live stripping.

  • 2:54 her feet is off the red dot....EPIC FAIL!

  • since the dawn of a need for technoloy numb skulls!!!!>:D

    ITS MORPHING TIME!

    >:D

  • aah-HAHAA!!!!!!!!!!

    >:D

  • Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, I failed...

  • What a load of shit!!!!! You'd have to be a retard to believe this shit!!!!

  • IT"S CALLED AUGMENTED REALITY PEOPLE, IT'S NOT HOLOGRAPHY!

  • to bad it was a hoax

  • its not a projection its cgi hes not seeing her fail

  • It's like an epic battle between man and wolf blitzer

  • Fine. Stop the arguments. As you can see at the video, "will.i.am" stands behind a green wall, which means a CHROMA. It is green, green, green, and edited because it is programmed already at their machines there. Here go back to a time machine if you want to see it, see. They call it hologram, because if you call it chroma, it will be cheap at your eardrums.

  • This guy is such a bull shitter. Watch a baseball game you idiot. For more than 10 years, you've been able to do this effect. You could have saved a trip to Israel. Typical of CNN! Its just BS. Wolf, I'm dying to see you again on Celebrity Jeopardy.

  • The Hologram is real. This type of technology does exist it just way to expensive for average citizen. one day the technology will be affordable and i bet apple going to want to be the first to introduce it to the people. they have face time why holographs. here"s the link for all those who think its fake

  • @josh401 This specific cnn use is fake. Do an internet search. The projections were not visible in the studio. Only home viewers saw the so called hologram. CNN admitted that they were indeed not holographic projections, but blue screen insertions.

  • Well, this is not a hologram, it's fake, he explained nothing about the process, all this interview was made is just to mention 'Israel' as CNN is owned by Zionists, remember that what's done in 'Israel' was using resources they do not own and rather belong to another nation..

  • LOL a fucking wookie is behind all of this

  • when are they going to make lightsabers

  • why is all of it about elections???

  • just like reporting the weather only reversing the background to to studio.

  • *facepalm* Star Trek "beamed" people "up" as a form of teleportation. Star Wars actually recorded holographic messages. Yet, here we are, saying how Will.i.am was "beamed up" to talk to Anderson Cooper.

  • Hold on, I'm just gonna go to Israel to grab some technology...

  • jumpers

  • its back to star wars time its soooooooooooooooooooo coool i have my light saber

  • thats technically not an hologram, they just add the image of the girl standing there on the live broadcast, there is no projector and the newscaster talking to her doesnt even see her, he pretends to

  • this is not "Hologram",this is green box, already having been used in movie sector. But a little different;that cameras have 3D vision similar to Microsoft Natal Prpject! That's All!

  • This is nothing new.

  • #LOL #FAIL

  • @deineomma123 hoy did u do those buttons ;p?

    lol and fail?!

  • @psyxou

    #LOL

  • what the??? lots of stupid comment... no studio required? hologram isn't invented yet? dumbass... this is why they are actually starting to produce one... they're making it more realistic, THEY'RE IMPROVING IT.. even the Ferrari started a simple vehicle design to create the latest one...REMEMBER everything starts at nothing... i hate this stupid people who comment stupid comments...

  • @grace31jras I've only red your comment today but that is true, they uses a WALL behind (a GREEN WALL).

  • STARWARS!!! LOL :D

  • Hahaha i know it.. this is sucks! the future of hologram is not yet invented.. what i mean they need a studio to transform this video and audio and it sucks.. bwahahaha.. The future is they dont need a studio to do this. You can operate even your own to transfer your image.

  • @fave0 Yeah, truly.

  • The green wall their behind on is called "chroma effect". That is changed through the computer. That is also used here in the Philippines on our recent elections (May 10).

  • @NoFaceChannel lol sucks..

  • its like ps3 eyepet, its not really hologram, its on the tv screen only

  • it's hologram tv effect, that's how they should refer to it... it's far from real hologram

  • Its a nice fake hologram. I mean, its just a visual effect in a very cool way. But a will wait with beeing amazed until i se a real hologram. :)

  • They didn't say anyfuckingthing! Anyone with a simple knowledge of cameras and CPU video processing/3d imaging knows what they did. Immediately seeing the CNN "holograms" I knew exactly what they did. A mix of multiple-camera imaging, syncing, motion blending, and angular interpretation. ALL THEY SAID on this video is that THIS worked. thats it. Its not innovative. not user-friendly. I wouldn't want to try it. or do it. I couldnt see myself suit up n sit in my fam's living room 2000 miles away.

  • REally? Is that fat fucker 1:00 serious? They make themselves look so stupid....

  • yeah right, only a few moments before going live they knew that it would work. Do you think they believe it themself?

  • I know it's a stupid fake.... you r nowhere from hologram

  • They have money for that nonsense, but they can't even pay their people a living wage

  • Just shows how easy the media can trick the viewers, also that even CNN is accepting the fact of misleading the public.

We are all cheated and manipulated and so easy

  • I was wondering how they projected the image into the studio now i know...... Its fake!

  • technically its not a hologram it just live green/blue screen which removed all green/blue @ live speed. Also the dude in the cnn room and the interviewer would not see each other only the viewers will. (there only feeding sound)

  • So stupid, it wasn't even a hologram. He didn't even see her. Stupid, fail!

  • They say the wicked ones whom murdered their way into office long ago, are actually 50 years ahead of public knowledge, having killed many inventor applying for patent. The 1908 Tungtuska nuclear test could prove this, but Egyptian helicoptors suggest 5000 years ahead of public knowledge, heck they're probably all holograms, why else would they lie for Silverstein?

  • @PhuqueU you have an interesting point. I will not argue. :)

  • This is not a hologram. Simply nicely choreographed green screen technology. It is physically impossible in the current age to have a physical free standing hologram as we have no way to stop light. if you were able to stop light in its path it would become invisible to you as the light would never reach your eyes to be processed!

  • Comment removed

  • Why the thumbs down?, oh and rurornik - I see you removed your comment. wise decision!

  • You sir are partially correct. This is just green screen tecnology. HOWEVER... We can create 3d holographic images now, we can also make them solid. I suggest looking up shinoda labs here on youtube and watching their videos :) It's pretty exciting stuff.

  • NO !, CNN telling lies ?

    what a shit gimmick anyway.

  • will i am. why?

  • Virtual set... just the contrary :)

  • Doooooood...

I'm on YouTube, watching CNN, watching YouTube, about CNN. *smokes weed*

    Trippy....

  • It's comments like this that make youtube all worth it lol :)

  • @hedgehoghoodlum

You beat me to it! I LOL'd

  • @hedgehoghoodlum more like smokes weed and is like wtf its not infront of him its just a computer image pretty much

    ontop of the news cast

  • @hedgehoghoodlum dude u are a legend hahahahaha

  • @vishalshamji Ahhh, the Ganja life is good. *puff puff*

  • sigh, this has been possible for years...

    used in movies....

very easy to setup only problem is the hardware, you need fast computer(s) to do it in real-time,

but it all depends on what quality you want it in....

can't believe they call this new tech

are they behind / slow or something

so sad so many people are behind when it comes to tech...

maybe one of the main reasons why there aren't humans living on mars and the moon yet, they just don't know it's possible

    (other main reason is money)

  • if the cameras were in a semi circle around the front of the person how did they get an image of their backs?

  • maybe the semi circle starts from their front and ends at their back, because that's the range of the studio camera and IT never really goes to his other side anyway so a semi circle from front to back on his left side is all that's needed I guess

  • Okay It makes sense about the green screen and cameras stuff!! but where the fok was the Image Projected and How!!!? on some sort of glass?? or in Thin Air? that is kinda fake if u think about it!

all the scientists out there have yet invented the hologram systems which basically are projected onto some sort of substance..or...smoke like thing...!

so doesnt this seem to be some FAKE SHIT!!!!!!!

  • they're added in like weather maps when u get a forecast, except its a person instead of clouds

  • it's much more complicated than that, smartypants. comparing the beam technology with a traditional weather forecast is like comparing the size of your booger with the size of the sun. -_-

  • well smarty-ass its a very primitive comparison which many people can relate to quite easily hence its use, trying to say that i tried to explain instead of using a comparison to further help others understand is like shoving your head so far up your ass that you mistake your booger for the sun -_-

  • CAN YOU STOP LIGHT MID WAY THROUGH ITS PATH? for a weather screen the weather man cant see whats going on behind him, so its not a hologram, just green screened on the tv, meaning the interviewer cant see anything. to have a hologram you physicaly have to stop light. go ahead, do it.

  • NO you can not stop light unless it is reflected or something gets in its path. But here they use cameras that capture the image of the person and only that person because there the only thing the cameras are getting an image of

  • so like i said, not a hologram.

  • lol There are some reall dumb ass people in this world.

The sad thing is they will believe anything if a news station says its true. Pleople use the brain God gave you!

And this also proves that just because a bunch of other stupid people say something is true, doesn't make it true either!

  • i was in the cnn studio when this happened. it was crazy. will i am was teleported to the studio while i was near the camera crew. it is real

  • ooh nice.................

  • lmao wow jones take it easy fuck head. go to school for fun if u wanna play with urself.

  • Take a cue from your name and STFU plzzzzzzzzz.

    n__n irony is a bitch, ain't it?

  • ITS NOT A FUCKING HOLOGRAM

    retards...

  • Uhm, how would you say a hologram works?

One camera isn't going to provide a 3d image, you have to understand perspective.

Humans and animals can see in 3d because we have two point perspective, so the same has to be true for cameras, and in this case, the have multi-point perspective.

So yes, it is an actual hologram, people saying that it isn't are just ignorant.

If I haven't made my point clear enough, someone else clarify it for him.

  • It is not a hologram. A hologram is something you can see wtih your eyes, not just through the TV. A hologram actually takes up space with light in real life. If youve seen star wars then you should know what a hologram is.

  • he did see him you dumbshit did you hear him say "this is like star wars" go to hell FUCKER!!

  • WOW you incompetent fuck. HE WAS LYING. They later even showed how they did it. Stupid Canadian fuckhead.

  • Wow, you watched it and still don't get it. The cameras were transmitting to CNN. There was literally a 3 dimensional image in the studio.

And Canadians are smarter than Americans on average, so don't even try to pull that one.

  • Lookup "Hologram" on wikipedia you ignorant fuck.

  • "A hologram is a picture that changes when looked at from different angles"

This seems pretty consistent with what is going on here. There was an image in the CNN Studio which changed depending on what angle you looked at it from, so it appeared to be a real person. If you look at Anderson Cooper talking to Will I Am by hologram, you can see how weirded out he is by it. That's not the look of someone who's talking to thin air.

  • What they are using is Post processing. The big breakthrough is that it is being done almost real time. Robotic camera tracking, high def cameras, high bandwidth, high speed, low latency networking, and high speed post processing to put it all together in near real time for the audience. No, Anderson Cooper does not see the "hologram" except on the monitors. He is looking at a telepromter, just like a weatherman would.

  • haha smarter on average lol Canadians with any future will spend there careers as far away from Canada as possible haha All the great people from Canada (all 8 of em) became "big" through America or Europe lol

  • that is very cool..awesome..i hope to get this tech on our mobiles v-soon so i can spk to my loved ones where ever they are ..

  • on JAY LENO last nite he admitted that he was not looking AT ANYTHING but a red mark on the ground fuck CNN watch september clues they have a history of this shit

  • this is how they face capture, but usually that takes a moment, but to do it in real time is pretty awesome...

  • I did this in my basement using a blue bed sheet and two shitty sony handycams then beamed my self to the surface of mars were i talked to a Green man with black eyes then i was beamed into the bed room of this guy and i was held hostage untli i told him how i did it and he stole my idea and built a mok up hologram projector.

  • anything can be possible with our technology today. there is technology to virtually recreate earth into a visor you wear that lets you see any part of the world or mars simply using satellites and gps locations. and even show it in realtime with other people joining in from their home. i thought of this myself just putting together the technology that exists now.

  • And people actually believe in all this crap...today hologram...tomorrow little green aliens attacking CNN studio xD

  • Its not a beam. It digitally imposed via live editing using a signal from the 35 cameras on the person.

  • Yes, you're correct.

  • The funny thing is I am right and people are giving me thumbs down. I dont get that.

  • OMG u all racists!!!!

    Hebrew(אלוהים אדירים אתם כולכם גזענים)

  • damn that giant tv was touch screen, gotta love technology

  • It's a touch screen, they have it at my school, makes presentations mush easier and funner =D

  • Sry, I didn't pay attention when writing, it's a smart board I mean...

  • pfftt.... aint no hologram... aint anything that acts like a hologram...aint nothing new.

though it wouldnt be TOO hard to make a hologram-like technology where the interviewer would also see him/her, it took them 10 years and thats not even what they built.

  • This is pretty awesome. It's adding flexibility to our mundane routines of watching the news. Although, it would be weird for the interviewer himself/herself. o_0

  • The concept ITSELF is not that complicated. I am sure actually executing it makes it more complicated. I don't believe this is actually a hologram by definition so they could have described it using better terms.

  • If the people interviewing them can't see them then pretty much its a glorified green screen nothing special.

  • (I'M FROM ISRAEL)

    Respect for Israel!!!!

  • that was random... -_-

  • and you're just another racist.

    LE GASPETH, how original.

  • and yet you're just another racist D:

    props on the originality n__n

  • the people doing the interview cant actually see them, right?

  • No, they are talking to no one but thin air.

  • Abbi Tatton is fine!

  • This is quite possibly the one of the least professional I have ever seen a news network ever do. A new low in journalistic integrity! Congrats CNN you have lost my respect

  • Yes David, congratulations...you pulled off a hoax that fooled only the morons who want Star Wars fx in their news coverage.

  • What's with all the hate? I think it's called.

  • *cool

  • it's great fun! what's up with all the haters. relax. you'll love this in 10 years when you can hologram your gf. mark my words.

  • This is new technology that has not been presented anywhere else live on TV. Although CNN doesn't need the technology in order to broadcast the news they can still bring to light NEW TECHNOLOGY and they did this by incorporating it in their own news broadcasting. CNN did the right thing by carrying this new technology to our doorstep. Let this inspire you and create new ways to literally look at anything.

  • That not a hologram, that's just like the weather green screen backwards. There not really projecting the image were it can be seen in real life. just on the camera. It's just a special effect.. Green screen.. that's all, they made that up 20 years ago.

I could do this easily with my equipment that I have. I think it's lame that they were proud of there selves because of it, when it's nothing, LOL.

  • exactly, i agree.

  • they always bring out the old version when theyve got atleast 5 updated versions to keep infront before you show the public new technology they are usually advanced 50years to what theyre showin us so i wunt be surprised if the guy who interviewd will i am wernt a hologram to jus updated because before this came to the news theys bin youtube footage frm a year back showin that it was used then without anyone nowin so who noes mayb sm famous ppl r actualy holograms created by the clever guys

  • Oh and also they practiced this at least 10 times before showing it live, what the hell are they talking about...

  • Are you fucking serious that they actually did a story on their own hologram shit?! That's fucking sad.

  • did you not just write that on the last video? dude, come on.

  • Comment removed

  • Apart from being no real hologram - I don't see any good reason so far for doing this. It's rather a novelty that deflects from the actual topics: I marvel at this technique and so can't focus on the contents anymore...

  • This is sooo dumb! What a waste of money. Hey CNN, if you want to do something productive, sell that crap off and donate it to a charity!

  • not hologram ..when media focus on stuff like this i always wonder what they want us not to

  • Amazing!

  • cool technology, but definitely not a "hologram" as they refer to it as.

  • They need to stop calling this a hologram because they have made people wrongly believe that it is now possible to beam real holograms around at will. People have enough wrong ideas about science already without a news organization making it worse.

  • its actualy explained correctly on discovery channel..heres the only footage i know of it on youtube

...hologram was a hoax..simply 40 camera and blue screen technology..there was no hologram...watch the discovery channel footage...videos called

"cnn hologram tv first hoax exposed on discovery channel"

  • matrix technology old! ! !

  • they dont have to go to the studio no more.

  • issue? 0:07

    amazing.. issue!!!!!!!

  • wasn'
