  • lols i have the same processor as u

  • good song indeed, hard to find a video with an appropriate song.

    liked.

  • is the gt 240 or gt 440 better? ._.

  • whats this on, windows 7 or XP

  • oh gott das hackt

  • just ordered the ddr3 1gb version of this card for 40 bucks. i'm going to be upgrading from a 7600 gs, which was a mid range card back in 06. cant wait to play games with some decent framerates

  • GT240 is shit get the GT430 now...

  • i thought my gt 240 can only play plants vs. zombies, god im such a dope. now im off to buy some games. ^_^

  • Great video, Since really i love Rally game i am now convince to buy this GT240 for pc gaming and video editing..Thnx man love ur vids!..:) more game!

  • @cryOzed thank you :)

  • i recently bought the evga gt240 512mb gddr5 version for 45$ on newegg! great card but dont except anything crazy out of it, good for some one whos on a BIG budget or has a low power supply, or if they are new to pc gaming

  • Best card for cash i bought mine for about 50 euros palit gddr5 :P

  • i got it new for 70$ from a dude and i`am very hapy whit the buy i two years i will change my pc so this card was perfect for me decent gaming and perfect hd playback whit core avc or other decoder that suports cuda :D

  • the GT320 replaced the GT240 now

  • LOL you machine is ALMOST identicle to mine check out my crysis video

    it says all my specs

  • what is the song?

You made a awsome video man!

  • @boyqwerty Thank you . The song is : Paralyzer by Finger Eleven

  • Can you tell me more about your specs? Like what DDR is the ram? cache speed on your HDD? however, I think (in my opion) that your CPU is kinda slow for your card, try to get a E8*** or a Q8-9***, anyway, thanks for the video :D loved it

  • @TheMetalTown My Specs: 2GB DDR2(667mhz) ,dont' know the cache speed sry (don't want to look it up :P ) yeah maybe true ... it's stock spead is only 2,2 Ghz but i overclocked it to 3,2 Ghz and now it runs great ;) not comparable to a quad core or i7 but it's good enough for most games ^^

  • @Replay934 thank you :P

  • @Replay934 is this good for games like l4d2,cod on medium-max settings?

    # Intel Core i3-350M (2,26 GHz)

    # 512 MB NVIDIA® GeForce GT240M

    # 3 GB DDR 3 bij 1.333 MHz

    # 160 GB (7.200 rpm)

  • @emin257 hmm...as it's obviously a laptop i can't say for sure , but if you are going to buy it now, i would recommend you to buy a better laptop than this one.It should have an i5-XXX or i7-XXX and a Direct X 11 Supporting video card, for example a GTX 460M. This will ensure that you can play upcoming games without buying a new laptop every few years .

But back to your question !

For the games you mentioned this setup should be good enough (med , maybe high) settings. But for sure without any AA

  • Is it freezing a bit?

  • gt240 is a decent card for gaming

    forget gt220!

  • Please can someone respond me will nVidia GT 320 1024 Mt do for todays gaming. I mean such games as AC 2 Left 4 dead 2 and stuff.

  • I'm buying this card because id doesn't require a very high power supply. Thankfully because I would not like to upgrade my PSU just so I can get a high end card.

  • @myfreetime123 that was my main arguement for buying it too ;) only got 340 W

  • @Uddel2HD yes

  • If your Motherboard Supports it ,get an e5400 (it will Overclock to 4+ ghz easier)...

  • @mrjamesb56 i got a gigabyte ..41 somethin mb..dont want to look it up now ^^ ... i have currently running my prcessor @ 3,18 Ghz with standart fan and it runs very good ...but thx for the tip

  • @Replay934 How much a FPS boost did you get in games?

  • @daweirdodude i used to have a 9400GT and from 9400GT to 240GT it's about 200% better performance ..means about 35-40 frames ;)...i don't realy get what u mean with fps boos :P

  • @Replay934 It's cause you said you overclocked in one of your comments and in the the video description you didn't include info on overclocking.

  • @daweirdodude ah ok ...y i overclocked my intel core 2 duo e4500 2,2ghz to -> 3,2 Ghz ..and yes it is a significant power boost ;)

but i did that a while after making this video .

I actualy was surprised that i could go over 3,0GHZ with standard cooler :P

  • What is the Song name ?

  • @Fcot99 no offens but...READ THE F****** DESCRIPTION!!!!!

  • why is this song in so gadamn many videos?

  • @Beggionahorsehoes because it's the only good song / band in the audioswap option ....FUCK WMG!

  • im going to buy it right now :)

for what i see, it is very good for price

    i was thinking on a xfx 9800gt or a radeon 5670

but your card is like this both but cheap

  • ok thanks

    Im gonna buy a gt240 1GB

  • You said in the description that you use a 512mb version of the GT 240

    And i ont o buy a GT 240 with 1GB.

And i want to now if your graph card run powerfull games like nfs shift, grand theft auto IV with little effort.

  • @ZAPAF1 nfs shift won't be any problem ... for GTA IV u need the 1gb GDDR 5 version ...since 512 is not enough for that ****** game ;)

I can play shift at maximum settings with good FPS ...GTA has only 15-25 because of not enough vram and a weak processor .

If you don't want to spend much money on a high end card..but still want to paly newer games the GT 240 is the right choice ;)

    greetz Replay934

  • @Replay934 gt 240 cant even utilize full 1 gb of memory, 512 barely. if anything, the 512 is better than the 1 gb. DDR5 version is far better than ddr3.

Reason you cant play gta4 that well is cause the developers did not care about optimizing it, not that it looks amazing. It's way more CPU dependant than anything else.

  • @rayright15 thanks for the info ;) but i know that ... GTA is probably the worst transcoded game ever xD ..it's not optimized in any way for the pc ...and The GDDR 5 version of the 1gb ..CAN use nearly all of the memory

  • @Replay934 no problemo, but not to start a fight or anything but:

It can't. Not even a 9800 gt can. neither can a 4850, or a 5750 (well it can use it, but it would be no point anyways because those cards cant play most games at 1920 x 1200 + 8x AA and such, even the 5870 has been shown not to be bottlenecked by the 1 gb of memory buffer at 2560 x 1600 with AA. Cards like the gt 240, 9800 gt, will become unplayable on games before they hit resolutions like 1920 x 1200 with 8x AA or something.

  • @rayright15 ok that's a point ;)

  • Can you tel me if the graph card is good and what is the dedicated video memory.

Please responde because i want to buy it and i dont no if it is good please aswer

    thank you.

  • whats the song?

    please tell me...

  • Finger Eleven - Paralyzer ;)

  • tnx

  • I am thinking about buying this card, i have 210 now and it really is bad... :( But anyways, I will configure my own computer too! And XFXs version (550MHz) 521mb gddr5, do you think there is any difference between this and the normal? Answer to me if you want to know about my self-configured computer :D

    Thanks /TheMetaltown!

  • hm...i dont think there is much off a difference ,since 550 Mhz is the standart clock for the GT 240 GDDR5 ^^....If u want post ur new setting here maybe people can help u optimize it !

    Greetz replay

  • @Replay934 Okay.. here it is:

CPU: Intel® Pentium G6950, 2.8GHz 3MB, Dual Core (I want it, cheap, kinda fast u know.. I wont change this one.... my friend has it, and its fast for many games)

    Grafix card: Nvidia GTS 240 521MB GDDR5 (I WANT I WANT I WANT)

RAM: 4GB DDR3 1066 MHz (this is needed for me)

Chassi: Antec 300 "the vertical case" (dont care about this)

electric thing: 450W (not this either)

MB: any ATX MB with DDR3x4 and socket 1156

    Thanks :D

  • just to mention it ^^ : the GTS 240 is a card that's used mainly for complete pc-systems (like for Saturn , MEdia market,...) and i think it is only passive cooled

  • @TheMetalTown i don't know the price of the i530 in your country but the 530 would be a far better cpu for fewer more money (it also overclocks as hell).

  • nearly any newer cpu would be better ;)

  • Its very good card i have the same gddr5 512mb and i love it :P

  • great graphic card

  • guy its a really good graphic card i bought it for 80 euros here in finland::DD

  • bit too expensive though u can get it much cheaper :P ^^

  • @MrVeton123 1gb by skgaming 86 euros :D

  • I got Nvidia GT240 and it is one of THE best graphics card on market right NOW!

  • yeah it's an awsome game ^^ thx

  • Nice video ;)!

  • i have the XFX 1 GB DDR3 version but i have a stronger cpu(E7400@2.8GHZ)and more ram(4 GB) and hdd space(660 GB)

  • i have 4gb ram

3.4 ghz amd phenom ii x4

    ddr3 1gb gt 240

do you think i will be able to play it

    thanks

  • sure :D i think ur pc is 2x Better than mine ^^

  • thanks man but ur video card is ddr5

  • yes but that makes it max about 4%-8% better just view some benchmarks ;)

  • Can you overclock gt 240?

  • yes u can overcklock it pretty well if u have the right version of the card ;)

  • i have some videos with this card, just the "arma 2" videos. which is more demanding than crysis

  • is this the 512mb gdd5 virision ?

  • Read the info.

I think the Zotac GT 240 AMP! 512 MB GDDR5 is a bit faster though.

  • try to change other video card i have

my 8800 ultra and i get 60 fps runs faster

  • @dalzalde1 this card isn't meant to be a high end card....it's just a High Low End card which can play all new games for cheap price ;)

  • ur processor and ram are pretty bad

  • @unrealharry i know xD

  • Nice performance, I'm getting it. In addition my power supply is 300wt, so this is the most powerful videocard I can get with my power bottleneck.

  • You should buy a 1GB version if you want to play on high resolutions with better fps.

  • How do you compare the GeForce GT 240 to the GeForce 9000 series cards? Where do you place it?

  • @georgeboss42 geforce GT 240 is kinda remake of the 9600GT ...the performance rows in above the 9600GT and a bit under the 9800GT ...The Palit Sonic Edition GT 240 can nearly overcome the 9800GT

  • Finger Eleven - Paralyzer ;)

  • song name PLS !

  • what i should get?HD4770 (150 euros)

    or gt 240?

    my system:

    intel pentium 3ghz

    ram 3 gb

    hard disk 410 gb ( 250gb sata and 160gb)

graphic card (for now) xfx nvidia geforce 8400 gs

  • @NAPSTEP i think a HD 4770 would be best choice but the most expensive...if u buy the Palit GT 240 (GDDR5) 1Gb Sonic Edition u should have the same level of performance as the HD 4770 for only 98€ or something ;)......but i would recomend to buy a new processor also....maybe even a whle new pc

  • would this computer run the games better than yours?

    amd 3.0ghz processor

    2 or 4 gb ram

    250gb hardrive

and... one of these (please someone tell me which are good and if they would handle games like crysis and gta at medium-high, and most other games at max?

Palit nVidia GeForce GT 240 SONIC 1GB GDDR5 (more expensive and hard to find online)

or the same card, but 1gb ddr3

    or XFX HD 5670 512MB GDDR5

please help me! im new to all this. and id like to know if this is good

  • @routyy94 erm i'm not sure but i dont think so...not better but at least not worse ^^ ...i cant say anything about the ATI card cause i'm a Nvidia User and never had a ATI Card ..but if u buy a gt 240 u should take a GDDR 5 version instead of a DDR3

  • would run almost same, a couple more fps maybe, but not much to really notice.

  • is this card better than nVidia gt 220? let me now

  • Yes a GT 240 GDDR5 is better than a GT 220.

  • should i get an ati radeon hd 4850 or nvidia gt 240?

  • Easily the Radeon 4850. 1 GB GDDR3? You can get it for about $120 at most places

Still, the GT 240 uses less power and is easier to setup, and for $98 will play basically all the games you want to play, plus it has native HDMI.

I don't know what you want to play and at what resolutions though.

Most people would just scream 4850 though probably.

Also, a GTS 250 for $130 can beat the 4850 more often than not.

  • dam picking a graphic card isnt easy.

will i play most games at about 1024x600

  • If you're really playing at such a low resolution, like 1024x768 or 1280x1024, a GT 240 GDDR5 is probably good.

At 1280x1024 on high settings in Fallout 3 it averages about 85 FPS.

1280x1024 on high settings in Left 4 Dead maybe also about 80 FPS.

The Zotac Geforce 240 GT 240 AMP! 512 MB GDDR5 on amazon is faster than most GT 240s, and it's $98 on amazon.

  • @Usul573 The Zotac one is quite expensive. The Palit GT 240 GDDR 5 is already overclocked @575/1800/1400 and costs only 69 € ..i think the best gt 240 u can get is the Palit Sonic Edition with 1gb GDDR 5 for about 90€

  • 1800 memory?

The Zotac AMP! one is $98 from where I'm looking.

    600 core, 1460 shader, 2000 memory, though it's 512 MB GDDR5.

If xy274 is just playing at lower resolutions 512 MB GDDR5 is good.

In fact I don't think there's much of a difference with the same card with double the memory, and all the clock speeds are important.

Even a Stock GT 240 512 MB GDRR5 is good anyway.

Where are you looking around? I'm just looking at amazon, US.

  • intel i5 - 750, corsair 4gb ddr3 1333, silverstone psu, asus p7p55d evo and ofcourse palit gt240 s.e 1gb ddr5.. o.c with vtune to 680, 1980, 1655. Most of the games run to 1080p with high, very high saettings without physx, vsync, antial... anisotrop... i will try to upload some footage... check my page

  • is it true that u can get a performance upgrade of about 10 % trough o.c. ? i only can get about 2 or 3% with the 512mb GDDR 5 one ;) running it at

613/1887/1468 , i didnt try higher because i dont want to mess it up ^^

  • Default settings are 585/1890/1424. so yes you get a +10-15% better perfomance but mostly on resolutions such as 1280x720 etc and not on 1920x1080. My advise is to use GPUTOOL to see how far u can o.c your gpu. It.s easy, free and has also a stability test, **(run it on fullscreen). Temps in my card with this test are 72-75c after 2 hours testing. Always use a smaller number for o.c that the max. Then use vtune to confirm the new o.c

  • can someone answer ,is gt 230m good?

  • 220m 230m 240m 260 are all exellent if you play without AA on and graphics full at 1024x768 and in HD they run well...

1080P but if you really wanna game i suggest PS3 for long life and Xbox for a top gaming system except i hate controlers...

  • Intel® Pentium® processor T4400 (2.2 GHz 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM

    NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 230M DirectX® 10 with1024 MB memory

can i play with this specs gta 4 on my laptop?

  • hm....dont know but i think the processor is too slow for GTA IV ... at least thats my problem while palying it .

  • Oh ya totally.. go to the store and test it yourself.

  • fraps kills frame rate its more accurate to run fraps only for the fps monitor and record that with an external camera

  • yeah, just get the palit version of 1GB GDDR5, I have it, look at my crysis vid on it!!!

  • I have 512 mb ddr5 one

  • i know this card is a asshole it can run all games in extreme settings i have it fraps sucks

  • so u think it's worth the money ? which one do u have ? 1Gb or 512mb ? pls let me know thx

  • hey, would a GT240 be powerful enough to run todays most demanding games at high/very high settings whilst maintaining a solid, highly playable framerate? thanks

  • actually if u have 100$ it is better to buy this card if you have more then i preferred 4770 ati

  • i have 1GB GDDR5 Palit

  • If you don't mind spending on a really great card a Viper X 5770 1 gig DDR 5 is oustanding. I've seen it in actiong... as for Nvidia I would suggest a 260GTX for about the same price the high GPU clocked one DDR3 2.2 gig at 448bit.

Really great card.and it just looks and play Modern warfare incredabley in HD.
