ok the original was great... but i for one would definately want to play an updated version of one of the best games ever created, the new technology would add so much more to this already great game. squaresoft would be making a wise decision in remaking this game for nextgen systems, as opposed to the other remakes, which were ok but not on this magnitude. i can guarentee this would be one of the best selling games if remade. hands down.

FFVII: AC was given over to some other people to make it... UNLESS we have that same crew who made the movie work on the remake of the game, I suspect this may be as good as it will get. However, I will still buy because I love the game and would like to see it on a different platform. And everyone who thinks it isn't worth it, well you may miss out. Who knows, they might add stuff to it. I think it will be worth the wait to see it and get it for myself... Okay I'll shut up now. ^_^;
For those who do not know ffac was made using a few master computers, so do not say the ps3 is a piece of trash if it can't make graphics as good as the movie. the graphics will be incredible and way better then the ps2.

If this is the best we can expect from the PS3 then forget it. This was barely better than the original piece from FFVII back in 1997. Other than cleaning up the jaggies, the only real enhancement seemed to be Cloud's exit from the train. Call me when the PS3 can do cutscenes as good as the movie Advent Children.
I can almost guarantee that if this game IS remade, the creator will have all the money he'll ever need. I would buy it in a New York second, even though I have THREE copies of the original game. And I know LOTS of others who would buy it, too!

They say they won't make the remake of FF7, but I don't believe that. They wouldn't make the opening to show off what they could do, and then just trash it.

Nah, Square-Enix have announced that it was purely a demo to show off their new graphics engine for PS3. They have no plans to remake the game. It would be amazing if they did. I'd buy it and i'm sure every other FF fan would also. Square would certainly make their money back on it.
this isn't advent children. and don't get your hopes up for a final fantasy 7 remix for ps3 cause it isn't happenning. Square Enix has made it clear that they don't plan on remaking the original FF7 story for the next generation console PS3. Look for other great FF7 spin offs; both game and video alike.
