I just started playing today. before takeoff I can not steer the plane at all. I take breaks off, flaps are set to take off I power up to 100% and the plane turns left. When I press arrow keys to compensate for torque the plane continues to turn left off the runway and crash every time.
Hey, thanks for the tutorial, when I first got the game a few years ago I taught myself how to take off and this helps a lot still. Anyway, I was wondering if it is normal for you plan to veer down and slightly to the left if you leave the joystick relaxed, and dont touch it. Maybe its supposed to do that, or maybe its a calibration issue. I have Windows 7 can cant find the joystick and controller option in Control Panel to check if it is. Thanks!
@TheCoalescent The reason your aircraft does this is because of the torque of the engine. Fly a P-38 and you'll notice it'll flight straight if trimmed level. Now fly a single engine aircraft. Notice the difference?
I think this is a brilliant piece of video, very useful for newer players. Could you let me know what video capture software you are using as I have been trying to create some videos on these subjects for my clan members and at present I am using fraps which limits me to 30sec clips, not ideal. Cheers, keep up the good work.
Also, what controls or settings did you change to alter the distance of how close you are to your instruments, or if you guy adjusts the seat up or down?
How do you increase speed with less than 5-10 at the time?, i want to leanr it

@TwistinFool these are default. These are delete, end and page down. You seat position must be made yourself.

@TwistinFool im not 100% with magneto's, you may need to google them yourself.

Again, the r.p.m. you're stating has one too many zeros but otherwise no comments as such.
I don't lower flaps until lining up, but that's personal preference ;)

Its a form of "WEP" War Emergency Power.
Gives a boost to sum it all up. Cools the engine down more. Allowing more power to be used.
