Kasanda wa Mikalayi best known as docteur nico because of his great ability in playing Hawaiin guitar was one of the best congolese composer, singer and guitarist as his many songs prove today. We have to remember that most of the people loving his music today were not even born at the time of Nico'success. Why do they love it? The answer is simple...good music is timeless...also you don't have to understand the language as well. Thank you docteur Nico you live in our hearts!

L'illustre reprit quelques années après. Il a réalisé un album sous la bannière des éditions Super Contact, la maison de production de mon défunt père . Cet homme fut un grand génie de la guitare. Dr. Nico's music reminds me of my childhood. I grew up near a bar in Buea Cameroon and his music was the must have at that time. What a great artist - I'm nostalgic about the sound and it take me to when I was 8. What you left for us is more that what Beethoven and Mozart left. Great Nico RIP!
