yeah I actually discovered Thrice at Reading festival 2003, when they played alongside the movie life, alkaline trio, ataris, pennywise and afi and poison the well on the concrete jungle stage.

And then Reading went all gayass indie, so they only started appreciating crappy bands like kaiser chiefs and franz ferdinand. Reading was awesome before, in 2003 I saw Metallica,System of a down,Thrice,Used,Sum41,AFI,Ata­ris,Blink 182,Poisonthewell,Alkaline trio,Feeder,Blur etc. sucks now

Mainly because Thrice is so superior to them and theyre way more credible than any of those other bands. A7x and Atreyu and MCR are all poser bands fixated on their haircuts and fashion ahead of their music. Thrice on the other hand are solely focussed on their music, they donate their profits to charitable causes, their music is lyrically much more sophisticated and also their music is much more varied, every new Thrice album is completely different to the rest.
