Am I the only one who thinks that tube looks natural? Those 'ribs' aren't equally spaced and some of them are forked, the tube itself is quite irregular and although interesting, doesn't strike me as looking particularly artificial. People see face's on toast, the only impressive thing about the face on mars is how it seems to be rather cleanly cut although this is an image from orbit so closer inspection might show it to be nothing. who really cares. The only newsworthy thing would be if there were definitely aliens travelling through those tunnels and actually communicated with us. I would say the only way to know for sure would be to send a shuttle and and remote control a robotic rover through the tunnel taking as many photos as possible, beam them back to earth. Then we can put an end to all this guessing.

I'm not at all convinced about that "Humanoid face on mars" thing. I do believe that NASA is hiding A LOT of things, but that "face" doesn't look "good enough" to be considered anything else other than coincidence. If it was artificially made, then whoever made it isn't very good at... making faces in the sand. Let's be honest, the "face" is pretty sloppy.

@goanton79 But when the original pic was taken it was bad quality back then, and shadows were all over it. Now that we got back, and take one in detail, it doesn't look like a face. If their race died thousands of years ago, and that remained since then, I don't think another 20-30 years would of ruined the image on the sand.

There are a lot of old river beds with perpendicular sand dunes in them, that under poor resolution and with more than a little imagination might look like the tubes you are obviously describing. Here is a suggestion. Take any pic in question and look at the hi rise image from the Mars Recon Orbiter of the same thing and then tell me if I am wrong when I tell you its nothing but sand dunes in gullies.
