  • OMG!!!

YOUR MY IDOL FROM NOW ON!!!

  • I heard butternut squash is just as good as butter in baking stuff is that true?

  • /watch?v=m9FRSghXhDM

  • what a sexy voice you got !!

  • What are you saying that the egg replacer doesn't work for at 3:43? It sounds like you say "Megan morning"?

  • I can't make it. I don't know the measurements.

  • @Supergurl829 Go on everydaydish.tv. :) Julie puts all of the recipes (measurements included) on that website!

  • the only ingredient i have is white sugar -_- so much for everyday cooking

  • the egg-replacer also doesn't work well for making quiche.

  • im going to make this for my birthday cake:)!

  • I hate it when I watch someone cooking or baking and when they get to a part where it's kind of messy they say "Nows a good time to get the kids involved." Ugh!

  • Love your videosss!!! thanks

  • where do u get the bowls u use?

  • is margerine the same thing as butter, but healthier?

  • i am assuming at 5:17 when she says buttermilk she means soy milk...?

  • @adamc404

at 2:20 she says "we make buttermilk out of soymilk" I guess she means that "buttermilk" at 5:17

  • yeah the mock "buttermilk" is really just soymilk that has been sitting in apple cider vinegar

  • Can you post the measurements please?

  • The entire recipe is on our website everydaydish(dot)tv

  • Can you post the measurements please?

  • I'd like to have the measurements for the ingredients you used so that I can try out your recipe. Thanks.

  • What's the measurements?????

  • wow this recipie looks complicated.. i really want to learn it though.

  • That looks and sounds amazing! I will have to try it!

  • Hi :)

i can't get "egg replacer" here in my country, what another ingrediient can i use?

    Thanks !

  • Try using 1 tablespoon soy flour (but add it in with the dry ingredients). Otherwise you can whisk together 1 tablespoon ground flax seed meal and 3 tablespoons hot water (let sit for a couple minutes and add in with the sugar and oil).

    Good luck!

  • @everydaydish

    use a small banana

  • hey guys help... apple cider vinegar?! does it have alcohol? i cant have alcohol u see... HELP

  • Apple cider vinegar doesn't contain alcohol.

  • ohhh okay =) thanks so much I will be so doing this!!!

  • @ElectricEclipse24

No it does not have alchohol. Also, check the back for any doubts.

  • I made this, turned out waaaay better than my apple cake. My apple cake didn't rise at ALL! It was still good though =]!

  • this sounded excellent so i made it!! so good. you should join mywhipit . com and share your cooking ideas and recipes!!

  • And to the person who said Vegans die earlier, get your facts right, vegans who eat correctly live longer heathier lives than people eat meat

  • Actually, there are 2 types of coffee cake. One that is made with coffee and has a coffee taste. And there's the one that's called coffee cake because it is served with coffee, like a dessert. This one is a recipe for the 2nd type I mentioned.

  • Actually coffee cake is also defined as cake that is designed to compliment coffee, as in it goes well WITH coffee. It doesn't necessarily contain it. (Look it up, you'll see what I mean)

  • I saw this video this morning, ran to the store to get the ingredients I didn't have, and made this coffee cake. It was the best coffee cake I've ever had! And my family also loved it! THANK YOU!

  • can i ask you how long this took? cause whenever i bake i somehow make a mess out of the kitchen and take 3 hours to make a 20 minute recipe lol

  • Well, this recipe has to bake for 50 minutes. But the prep work only took me about 15 minutes and I cleaned up while the coffee cake was in the oven, which only took me 10 minutes. I really is the best coffee cake I've ever had...I've made it twice in the past week! Good luck!

  • it's always better when you change it in your way...

yeahhhh it's never enough of cinnamon...

    vinegar and milk=nice trick...

red palm & canola oil=better colour...

and a little bit of cinnamon again, in sauce, better and better...

glass one is much better, cause you see what's going on with the cake...

raisins,chocolate--->nuts-->almonds, brazilian, even dry roasted peanuts are great...

    yeahhh...it is fun...

  • you do a nice job.

  • dude, why so hostile! I just explained coffee cake is eaten with coffee, not flavored like it. Chill out! What did America ever do to you?

  • I like to see actual basis for that statement. People like you are so annoying you don't know what you are talking about so please don't scare monger or put people of a lifestyle that simply, you just don't agree with which is fine as everyone has a choice but don't negatively influence the choice of others.

  • When they die early, what do they die of, usually.

  • This fun fact brought to you by the "National Making Random Stuff Up Association".

  • I LOL'ed HARDCORE, thank you!

  • I saw this video at the veganoutreach site. I made it then, and it was really good.

  • ah yes, another soy-fearing moron from the invisible ranks of the 'google based research' sensationalists. thank you fireduck

  • thanks it looks great yum yum but anyway i think me and all the vegans will eat everything to save and protect animals.

  • Jesus have some respect.

  • Mmm, a vegan coffee cake! I've been wanting that for some time now. I kind of wish the measurements had been in the video.

  • Yes!!! 'SOME flour' doesn't really do it for me.

  • Someone needs more attention at home, lol

  • Duh it's called coffee cake because you eat it with coffee..

  • LOL

  • It means we eat it with coffee.

  • LOL. Someone woke up on the wrong side of grouchy today. Or is it every day?

  • @MelodiousPuddle what :O so its not a cake that taste like cofee?

  • Yum! ^_^

  • It looks amazing, but I'm a little confused as to why it's called coffee cake. You didn't use any coffee... but I still can't wait to try it out. Does it taste like coffee?

  • nope, it's called coffee cake because it goes well with coffee.

  • do vegans drink milk?

  • not cow's milk, but milk made of soy, oat, rice, almonds....

  • does that taste milk ????

  • like milk? no, not really, but it does take the place of milk really well in some areas, such as for cereal. I also like the vanilla soy milk for just drinking. you should try some!

  • no... but some of them taste *better* than cow milk!! :) :) :) my favorite is Almond Breeze, especially the chocolate flavor.

  • Can you use almond or rice milk instead of soymilk, and is there anything you could use instead of the margarine? Also, is brown sugar ALWAYS vegan or is it sometimes put through the bone char process? Thank you, that looks really good :)

  • You can definitely use another non-dairy milk for the soy. You can try to replace the margarine with oil, although I haven't tried it out yet to know for sure.

Not all brown sugar is vegan because of the bone char issue. Look for organic brown sugar, vegan brown sugar (at Whole Foods) or store brands made from beet sugar.

    Happy baking!

  • Thank you so much! Since I posted that last comment, I also discovered Earth Balance buttery spread (vegan) and it's fantastic, tastes better than margarine and butter ever did too. I've found out also that margarines are generally not vegan, they have those chemical-name type ingredients that are not vegan :(

I found out that coconut oil is fantastic in baking too.

  • you got a vegan person confused with a raw vegan person

  • google vegan

  • jippie something i can make :D. For this i can easly get al the product whohooo!!

  • rascisto39 - why would you make a non-vegan version if you don't need to? Just for the heck of exploiting animals? The girl said it turned out better than the non-vegan version anyways (as is a common case with vegan baking).

  • If the vegan version tastes better, then I'll try a vegan.

  • i tried making the vegan version n wen i ran out of the vegan ingredients i made anon-vegan version of this n the vegan 1 tasted A LOT better!!! im never making the non-vegan version of this cake again

  • Is pleasure really more important than someone else's life?

  • Some people think so unfortunately :(( I love your name, VeganButterfly! :)

  • Thanks :)

  • i am eating 1 right now n its jus soooooooo good!!! i also cant get enough! n r u vegan julie?

  • I'm so glad you like it!

    I am vegan.

  • can we use the buttermilk we buy in stores instead of makin our own?

  • Unfortunately they don't sell vegan buttermilk, so you have to make it yourself.

  • but im not vegan.

  • Check the title of the video.

  • i thought the same! there's no coffee in it!

  • arent u supposed to say how much flour and the rest of ingredients?? how can u make a cake and guess how much to use!!!how much flour how much brown sugar etc aarrrggghhh!!!

  • All of the recipes are on the everyday dish website: everydaydish(dot)tv

  • Dear gosh, that looks absolutely delicious!

  • it really is!!! i've tried it!!

  • btw westtownnovid, i wouldn't worry too much about the whey thing. if you needed whey i'm sure nature wouldve devised a better way for you to get it than by stealing a calf's lunch! my husband & i are both vegan personal trainers, whey protein is not necessary for muscle growth. if youre afraid of soy protein you could try hempseed protein shakes, but really,a well balanced diet should have you covered. realistically there arent many foods that contain no protein at all! &the cake does look great!

  • The coffee cake does look wonderful, btw.

  • I want to get away from the dairy both for ethical and health reasons. But I've heard that men need to consume whey in order to build muscle. I've also heard that tofu and soy products are bad for a man's hormones, that soy products actually cause a man to develope breasts! Is this true? I'm a little afraid of the soy!!!

  • wow, that looks like something that would give me an orgasm in my mouth ;P

  • Wow, this is an amazing recipe! Thanks!

  • Wow, this looks good. Definitely going to try this!

  • looks good, but I think that there si too much sugar...

    but great receipe...^^

  • This looks yummy!

  • the cake are so good

  • Of course it's best to cook your own food if you can because then you know what's in it

  • It's easy to eat out vegan, try chinese, thai or indian restaurants. In other restaurants you can ask for them to leave the cheese off salads etc.

  • it's not that vegans can't eat out(and eat omni food), they choose not to.

if you did some research you just might understand why vegans do what they do

watch Earthlings, but only if you really want to know

but if not, keep your blind fold on, life is prettier ignorant.

  • "Veganize my coffee cake!" :D

  • If we kept you in a little cage for your entire painful, cramped, crowded, hellish life in order to cut your hair, then yeah, you'd better believe it would suck to have your hair harvested!

  • Meat eating is stupid! Just eat real food and get over all you're crap! Eating an eggplant doesn't hurt you! Stop depriving yourself.

  • I love you, UcanbeGOD hahaha!

  • Thank you.....thank you I will be here all week LOL

  • there's no need 2 b so rude. in fact a diet that considers dairy a food group is ridiculous, unless of course you're a calf!most vegans are pictures of health because we don't fill our bodies with crap that you consider to be food groups. and as for eating eggs not hurting chickens, google battery hens and you might rethink that. just because you're ignorant about something doesn't make it stupid. if you're interested or intrigued enough to insult veganism, why not get informed a bit instead?

  • Delicious, i like it

  • grazie!!

  • I made the cake one hour ago.

It is amazing. I totally fell in love with it.

Thanx for the video, thanks for the recipe.

PS: And the apron is very cute. ^^

  • Thanks!! I'm glad you like the cake.

  • LOL Julie, you probably have seen the comment "gimme the recipe please" like 600 times. Oh well, maybe some day people will learn there are other websites than youtube haha. :) Btw, I loved this coffee cake, and I make it all the time.

  • That's awesome! Thanks for the recipe, my girlfriend's vegan and I've been toying around with dessert ideas for ages.

  • All of the recipes are on our website at everydaydish (dot) tv

  • It looks delicious, but could I get any measurements, please?

  • What do you recommend to substitute for the white flour + sugar? Thanks a bunch!

  • Hi Solulacia,

You bet! It's in the works.

    Happy Baking!

  • Looks really good, I can´t wait to try it. :)

Thanks for explaining how to make soy butter. Could you show how to use flax seeds as egg replacer? Thanks, each video gets better.
