i heard theres a type of malaria that stops your heart for a while then restarts it and u have brain damage so ur like a zombie or something. is that true?
These mosquito nets are saturated with toxic insecticide called DELTAMETHRIN. This chemical is a known neurotoxin that has health implications for humans as well aquatic life.
As a Zambian, n one who has exper=nced first hand the ravages of this diseases, ittruely breaks my heart n troubles me immensely, to see that in today's modern world of state-of-the heart medical technologies, where space travel is no marvel, mosquitoes murder millions
NCAgentX, if you can cut down the malaria is MOST areas, corner it, so to say, THEN you can perhaps spray aggresive chemicals. But, you cannot spray all over Africa. The idea is that if you can corner it, then all you have to do is evacuate nearly a full country, spray the remains and make sure none get away. If only.
Am sure people are greatful for the nets and I think its a wonderful video by all means. But i cant help feeling that your efforts are futile in the long run. The nets will not last as you have said; then what do the people do? Malaria can be eradicated as it has been in america through chemical sprays. Just b/c it had bad ecological effects in the US doesnt mean it would happen in Zambia or other countries. Any thoughts?

Aliyah and Ed,
This is a very touching and educational video.
Having two healthy boys of my own, I thank God for that everyday.
What a great thing the Rotary Club is doing to provide these nets.
Thank you for bring this to the public.
