@ensignrick Actually, Inmendham is on friendly terms with TheModernMystic. I've barely ever interacted with him.
Inmendham was the one who started redefining and comparing some atheists as cartoonish religious people. I just happened to be familiar with the ancient religions and his views match up fairly well with some of them. Unintelligent designer, NoThing is God, escape existence, the world is pure Evil and suffering. He even claims his logic (his logos) to be a higher place.
empty space, the final frontier. these are the voyages of the antinatalship enterprise. its mission: to avoid strange new worlds, to avoid new life or new civilizaions, to boldly not go where all men have gone before.
@2bsirius I suppose from time to time reality gets to be overwhelming so people want to call it quits. This whole ideology seems fear based but they'd like to frame everyone else as addiction based. There's an appropriate time and place for everything, imo.
'That's just phantasmagorical, maaaaan. You're just not living in the real world!'
lol
Rather interesting that the Club of Rome pushes antinatlism.
From wiki:
*In 1993, the Club published The First Global Revolution.[5] According to this book, divided nations require common enemies to unite them, "either a real one or else one invented for the purpose."*
if it's about me, i didn't imagine anything (only the bit about gary was a bit of a laugh). i only quoted what i read & pointed out the fact that they admit they lie when they think it's necessary. the inference from that being that their apparent support of antinatlism should be questioned, along with everything else they say --Because they admit they are not above inventing stuff.
@Barklord no prob. i can get a bit touchy around these topics because some people still think you're nuts if you dare to speculate that there's more going on than what the TV says...
Bingo! You pegged them perfectly! I always knew the misanthropists were cultists, but you have shown them to be antiquarian cultists. And more antiquated than antiquarian at that.

Love this. Another logotherapeutic artifact to add to my collection.

It seems like a variation of the Albigensian or Cathar heresies which claimed that the world itself, all matter -- was intrinsically evil.
