@Scrapsassy1959 Thank you Sheree...your kind words are much appreciated...am working on some new tutorials - so hope you will see some new things here soon! Hope you are having a great holiday season!
Do you buy acrylic sheets for this? If so where do you go them or what brand are they? Also what can you cut them with? I can't seem to figure out what machines will cut something as thick as acrylic.
@ABitMadInTheHead hey thanks for stopping by. The letters I used were by Heidi Swapp and they are called Ghost Letters. I have seen them at Michaels and on-line. The sheets I used were either packaging that I trimmed down or cut from a product called CLEARLY HEAVY OVERLAYS by Hambly. They are available on-line as well. As far as cutting goes the only thing thati have found that is sturdy enough to cut through these products are Sizzix dies because they are made of steel. Hope this helps
For the letters, heart and flower -- I used Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes. I also save packaging from things like Tim Holtz Ideology line or Cricut cartridges (because they are fairly thick and have a pretty large surface area) -- and then use my Sizzix dies to cut shapes from them...they work great with these techniques. Finally, when I am heat embossing I use Hambly Clearly Heavy Overlays (because they are thicker and can stand the hear without warping).
Great idea's...you really are an exceptionally talented and super creative lady...TFS...Sheree (Downunder)
