i agree. He qualified 11th and ifnished 9th in his very 1st ever formula 1 car. plus Im sure the last time he drove an f1 car was during testing prior to the season start. being able to hop in a car that has undergone so many changes and being able to adapt to them after a whole season really shows the talent that he possesses. Seems to me if he does well at yas marina this weekend, hell have a full seat next season. Who knows, possibly Japan's first world champion in the making? I hope!

kobayashi only got such a good debut rating because he blocked everyone on the track. he definately caused nakijima to crash and even though I hated nakijima I was pissed to see this rookie come in and block everyone including the championship leader and cause a giant crash by blocking and ruin nakijjimas weekend.

Sure he blocked people, but I don't think he did anything too excessive... I think what everyone likes about him is he just didn't roll over and make it easy for the established drivers... I really enjoyed the challenge he gave Jenson in Brazil.. irritating as a Button fan, but fun when he finally got past.. it was great! xD. If he drives in 2010 I will be supporting Kamui and Button for sure :).

I did see that, but I also understand that this was his first F1 GP and he was trying to prove himself. I wouldn't say he was attempting to damage Nakajima's car or take him out of the race, but he was aggressive for sure.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the stewards are pretty strict in F1.. If he was deemed to have done something illegal they would have fined his ass.

I would also like to say Nakajima massively underachieved this year. he had a car that was capable of points and scored nothing.. Kamui in 2 races scores more than his countryman in 17 rounds.. Pretty disgraceful.

So impressed with this guy in the Brazilian GP - yeah, he did make some mistakes...but a rookie in his FIRST f1 race, almost qualified in the top 10 and kept Button behind for ages, even though Kobayashi was in a heavier car - Total respect!! :D Hope he races F1 in 2010

Kobayashi made a BIG mistake in regards to Nakajima, squeezing him out of the pit exit. Very bad. But all his other manoeuvres in the race, he was fantastic.
