A cluple things he didn't mention (and which wasn't a problem when this was made) play scout on tighter and more compact maps, they aren't bad on open maps but it is harder to flank when they see you coming

My strategy as a soldier against scouts is usually shoot where they're going to land after they jump. The only way to save yourself is to double jump away from that direction but most scouts I see (Rarely F2P) double jump immediately in the same direction to keep away from my first rocket, but I get them with my second.

@Nimamototkishi I don't think bots were even available in 2008. Aside from that, with F2P now, players are on average worse in pub servers.

Part of why they look bad is that it's so difficult to fight someone who hits you when you can't see them, then just runs away and heals up, avoiding your attacks in the process.

this is great for the most part, but i must add that aiming is more important than running around in circles like an idiot at first. running around like an idiot and shooting at the same time comes with time. also flanking is the best thing you can do in my opinion, as running up behind a medic/heavy combo can be taken out in 5 shots before the heavy realizes whats happening

Notice he uses his environment to his advantage, jumping from windows and at places the enemies will not immediately see him.

Also at 7:06 a scout on scout basically points out to which scout is better. A good scout fights back, a bad scout runs away. You are basically saying "I'm not going to win against you, I'll run away." That's not good. You also need to remember that if you can shoot them, they can shoot you. You both need to run in a straight line to get an easy shot...

@Aflay1 So make it uneasy for both of you by moving in an unpredictable pattern. With practice, it'll be disadvantageous for the other scout, as he'll find it hard to aim at you, and you will know how to shoot him, since he still moves predictably.

That sudden quick kill by Pyro is most prolly cuz he's very close to you. The damage increases as the Pyro nears his enemy. Which proves ur guess: Pyros often try to corner enemies.
