is this creamer commentating i think he introduces motogp racing after a commercial break? he mangles jorge lorenzos name he seems to suddenly gain a spanish accent ! their are no T`s in lorenzo. the British do the same it just sounds stupid !!!!
ASA was never the same after Rex Robbins (founder) sold it to Steve Dale. Dale wanted the numbers on the back of the car (just stupid if you ask me) and he wanted the series on to many big tracks(another mistake). ASA was a short track series and should have stayed that way!
They put the number on the back of the car so that the sponsors could advertise more on the car with the doors and hood. I agree, it looked horrible and when they ran on the big tracks it was a pain when trying to figure out who was who. Most of us recognize numbers, not sponsors.
The beginning of the final year of the ASA National Tour. This was the year that they got the bright idea of the "Choose Rule" where you could choose which side you wanted to line up on the restart... Dumbest idea ever! However, ASA is missed dearly... Especially by all of us in the Midwest.

I respectfully disagree. There was an awesome "ASA" atmosphere around the races.

Does anyone know why they had to put the number on the back of the car. That does not look good at all. I liked the number on the door.

Savvy marketing people??? Yeah, putting the number on the rear quarter was one of the stupidest ideas ever in short track racing.
