  • Just finished reading the book The Last Lecture...here is the actual lecture that was taped in 2007...wow....a story about a professor dying of cancer....with a wife and 3 young kids.....talking about childhood dreams...talking about living....everyone needs to read this book...you will cry.....you will be sad...but in the end you will be....Happy....Randy Pausch's story will make your life better.....if you have kids let them dream....if you still have dreams...chase them....get over the wall!!

  • I hope we post less negative comments for this video. Carnegie Mellon is school for good people. We are good people.

  • nice dedication...thanks for sharing...

  • There are at least two assholes who watched this video. Go run in traffic you wastes of space.

  • @XZaapryca Wow very classy man. Your comment is great example of how not to respond to life's challenges.

  • @WorldReligion Oh, well then go hug Casey Anthony or Charles Manson. If people "dislike" this vid, I'd say they're the ones you should be remonstrating. Your world view is out of whack. In light of your name that seems ironic and fitting all at the same time.

  • "Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter"

  • Did he say PJ Dick because my cousin just got a job there!

  • The "kid", I believe, was Logan, aged 5, who was very spirited that evening, which was very sweet, actually. All 3 kids were very happy about the whole event. I like that they showed the ribbon cutting (we were all down below at the point, only the family was on the bridge), but they don't show the kids speaking on the video (Jai had laryngitis & could barely speak). Dylan, especially, said: "If I had to describe Daddy in one way, it would be that he was always lighting up with hope." Beautiful.

  • Good.

  • Randy ,

You continue to be an inspiration to me &millions across the world.

It was great to see Randy's mom, wife & kids, and it was fitting to see them cutting the ribbon & the kids really enjoying themselves.

It was almost, as if he was looking down smiling from above.

I never met him in person, but few people have had as impact on my life as he had.

R.I.P. & love to his kids
