Please learn to pronounce the NAME , ANASTASIA ROMANOV...she was butchered by vile bolsheviks. I also suggest you read a book about that family.

She was BUTCHERED on July 17, 1918.

It is a sad book about a true tragedy. None of those poor people died right away , they were made to suffer especially Anatasia, her brother and sisters.

I'm posting your comment in case any one else is interested in the history of the Romanovs. And I've heard many different pronunciations of Anastasia, including by a native Russian friend, but I have never heard anyone pronounce it "ANNA TASH SEE AH." To each their own. :-)

@sutlers2day The way that they pronounce the name in the Disney movie (A-na-STAY-shia) is NOT how it is pronounced. The way that you are pronouncing it is Anglicized and is NOT AT ALL how it is pronounced in Russian. She is saying it correctly even with the emphasis on the correct syllables (something which is hardly ever done by North Americans). It is pronounced A-na-sta-SEE-ya Ro-MAN-ov. And in case you are wondering, I am Russian.
