Even I must admit that, because he knew how to take advantage for him of all the continuing stupidity of George W. Bush and his administration. Of course, I should add something more, it's very easy to fool a population with 80% of poverty and use arguments "socialist" to win their support, and spend all economic backgrounds of Venezuela military service, & promote its oil... and Venezuela remains poor. But I'm worried about the imbalance of diplomatic policy that would result in South America.

Inflation is a hidden tax that undermines prosperity, especially for the poor and those on fixed incomes. Basic economics. In '97 unemployment was 10.5% then 16.7% in '04. Underemployment is at 50% approx, including people working as street peddlers. According to the UN it is a top 10 underfed population.
