I just want to say that (although I haven't got round to reading the book yet) that I've heard that this film isn't close to the book (still amazing though). Just remember that it may not be a remake, it could be another adaptation of the book that completely ignores the film and is closer to the book and I hope it is. :)

@FlyingFocs They don't know shit then. Compared to CGI, these effects are gold. Watching this movie is almost like watching the 1st Star Wars Trilogy. After all Industial Light & Magic did work on this film. Filmmakers nowadays always add CG in films like Iron Man 2 or Last Airbender. To me, CG looks even more fake and there is nothing innovative about it. Effects in movies like this film, 1st Stars Wars Trilogy & other films in the 80's are inspiring!!!!! Brings puppets BACK!

As for a remake ( which hopefully won't happen ), it will be made with a piece of 'green screen' and a 'team' of spotless 'CGI DJ's' sitting in an office. It will make a profit 'cause it will cost nothing to make and it will be sold off the success and nostalgia of a movie that used superior effects like puppetry, minatures, full sized sets, animatronics, forced perspective etc and genuine talent 80's and early 90's movies had. So sad. Does anyone else miss those type of superior movies?!

Now lazy talentless movie makers just get some creativeless 'PC Technician' to make there souless 1D rubbish.
