  • that is SO true, Conservatives just disown unsuccessful conservatives even if they really are conservative - just cuz of their failures !

  • @Claronium780 and a lot of conservatives are failures!

  • This...was lulsome xD

  • Do you have the rest of this episode, fucking awesome!

  • I have absolutely no problem with someone believing in or worshiping a God. What I have a problem with, is someone proclaiming that a book that is so clearly written by men (old/new testaments, qu'ran, dead sea scrolls, wtfever) and using them as a justification for their own ideologies about the world. The men who wrote those books were misogynistic, homophobic, obviously disturbed, brutal, and barbaric. Let them be part of the past, not the erasure of the future.

  • @IExposeMormonism

Tell me: What is your basis regarding comparing morals? Mormonism -- a thoroughly false religion?!

  • When Mormon polygamy returns it will the basis for polygamy and homosexuals will have multiple marriages of "polygamy". Mormon polygamy is perverse and so is homosexual marriage. The words may not mean what you think they mean. They mean what certain "law makers" will say they mean. Which is always other than what you think the law means. George Bush is a godless moralless monster.

  • @IExposeMormonism You seem to like words a lot. Want a cookie? Do you wear a helmet?

  • @SmashAttackOnline Words mean things. I'm against helmet laws. But If I have to wear one I think homosexuals should carry condoms. If I need one for the big head, shouldn't homo's need one for the little head? After all with rights come obligations.....Don't let the little head do the big heads thinking.

  • @IExposeMormonism Thank you, just wanted to be sure you were full retard, not just halfing it.

  • @SmashAttackOnline When you don't have a moral reference center then mental cases like yours become common place.

  • I liked watching how the guy on the left finally got it at the end.

  • So... What do they think of Mormons? "Well...that Jesus and Satan are brothers and they 'do it'..." LoL The cowboy made me laugh... Thumbs-up if the cowboy made you laugh.

  • @SuperLonelyLife

Hey don't look at me, Mormons are the ones who thought it up ;P.

  • "Jesus and Satan are brothers and they do it."

    HOT.

    Lol, Mormonism.

  • Jesus and Satan are brothers who do it XD Wow, where do these guys come up with crazy stuff like this?

  • Wow! It was like Daniel in the Lion's Den. Dan's comment about cognative dissonance was really spot on.

  • Mike Huckabee once said in a campaign speech that he came from me. By God he sure did, and thank God for indoor plumbing.

  • excellent footage... shows just how ignorant, sheltered, and completely brainwashed most christians are..... evolve for fuck sake...... being nice and friendly is no excuse for ignorance

  • d.l. is so obnoxious

  • Homosexuality is not even mentioned in the bible. Literally, the references made have nothing to do with homosexuals. People need to study what they are preaching. Show me one scripture with a concordance of the true definition of terms that has ever mentioned this. Fucking idiots.

  • @nalani005 ...Try reading the book of Leviticus.....and maybe not call other people fucking idiots when you're obviously the one who hasn't a clue about you're talking about.

  • @IsaacB5679 I have read the book of Leviticus and again I say, there is nothing in there referencing to homosexuals. The scripture you have stated is ridiculously misstated. And yes, you are an idiot. Anyone who so firmly believes in something should at least know what they are talking about. I bet you were told to believe that by your so called pastor. I know it wasn't God's word. "Study to show yourself approved." Did you read that?

  • @nalani005.... 1st off I don't have a pastor and despise religion and don't believe a word of it so you obviously misunderstood my position... and yes you're right it doesn't say the word homosexuals seeing as how that word hadn't been invented yet..... Leviticus 20:13 in the NIV version does say that if a man lies with a man like he does a woman it's detestable and should be put to death... clearly describing homosexual behavior.... I think we're on the same side of this argument though

  • @IsaacB5679 Look, I apologize. I just get tired of hearing christians spew their nonsense when nothing in the bible even suggests homosexuality. That NIV version is completely misinterpreted. The original says if a man lays with another mans wife. How the fuck can anybody say it's about a man and man. All this shit over gay people and their is literally no scripture to back it up. Either people just have a lot of hate, or they are completely ignorant. Either way, their fucked up.

  • @IsaacB5679 Certainly the verse(s) you are talking about have been read and interpreted and enforced at those who now call themselves gay. Do the research. Its in history, the historical sources, as WELL as the mishnah.

  • @donjaundemichael ... yeah I'll get right on that... cuz interpreting brainwashed ignorance and stupidity is something I just love to do so much

  • @IsaacB5679 My statement was in response to the assertion that Leviticus says nothing about men having sex with one another. Leviticus specifically DOES talk about men having sex with one another. I am personally god-free, but I am a bible scholar and the hebrew is straight forward, and Judaic though is as well. Leviticus is not vague in hebrew the statement is clear. Again, personally its all tripe. What consenting adults do, is their own business.

  • i wish people could be like that all over...

that they would tell you "you'd burn in hell" nicely

  • I love when dan says "but the bible says the sun rotates around the earth" and that kid just looks at him like 'WTF?'

At least dan read the frickin book you moron.

  • @whenxdovesxcry What's the verse that says that?

  • @tugboat2030 Ecclesiastes 1:5 it said: "The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose." (though we say that too, still, implying that it moves) But that the earth does not move; Psalm 93:1 "the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved." Psalm 104:5 "Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." 1 Chronicles 16:30 "the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved."
  • What is wrong with these southerners? im so glad i never been there

  • "With your help in South Carolina, I'm going to become the 44th President." HA! NOT!

  • the BEST Draw Muhammad Submission ever

    watch?v=Tyl2bPqmjoI

  • this was a good number on huckabee fans

  • I laughed out loud when Dan said " What is George Bush, a Wiccan Priestess? " Hilarious!

  • That was so funny when DL just randomly loses his shit after being so quiet.

  • On Mormons: learn about Mormonism. Don't just jump aboard the wagon. Mormonism saved my mom's life just because they made sure her family was alright (alcoholic father, no mother).

On homosexuals: There are very few things that I can say I truly, without a doubt, believe to be true. One of these things is that homosexuals are loved by whatever is out there.

I am neither mormon nor homosexual, but I support anyone who spreads good and not harm.

  • mormons dont spread good the church spent millions of dollars to get gay marriage banned in california.

plus their religion is completely batshit crazy

dont get me wrong they are all crazy but those mormons are really out there in crazy land

  • You apparently know NOTHING about Mormons. You must not know any. I have never met a bad one. I'm sure they are out there, but not many. They did not spend the money to ban gay marriage. They spent the money to keep marriage a sacred vow between a MAN and a WOMAN. Homosexuality is simply wrong. No two ways around it. Gays can't procreate right? Seems pretty simple to me. Apparently you aren't even christian because anyone who actually believes in Christ, wouldn't talk like you.

  • @bryank81 i love how you just start throwing all these assumptions at me like you know anything about me.

sorry but no faith gives anyone the right to infringe on someone's civil liberties.

you mean your sacred marriages in the bible where the men had all the power and had multiple wives and not to mention the whores(King Soloman had 700 wives and 300 extras) what is sacred about that. maybe if you want to act all high and mighty you use a better source for morality.

  • @bryank81 If you're going to be so against the way homosexuals are born based on that book, then are you going be against women having any power over a man, or women teaching others? Jesus plainly said that women are to stay silent and learn, not to teach. Yet Christian women CHOOSE to enter political power and authoritative positions, as well as teach in schools, and Christian men CHOOSE to support them. You're CHOOSING sin, homosexuals are born into it, who really deserves to burn in hell?

  • @Tokorai I think the fact that the gay gene has not been actually proven and the fact that Greek societies as well as others (which were obviously here while ancient judaism was being practiced) endorse homosexuality entirely and also included their own gods as homosexuals proves that homosexuality can definitely be a choice. I'm not saying that I am definitely right, but i have my doubts since child development as well as individual psychological views inhibit a gays ability to express truth.

  • @martiandog89 While the evidence for gays being born that way is not 100% there is a lot more evidence that it is than that it is not. if one identical twin is gay there is a 50% chance the other will be gay, while paternal twins only have a 10% just like everyone less. This highly suggests that there is a genetic factor. Its a old argument but an accurate one, when do straight people chose to be attracted to the opposite sex? they don't chose, they just do, just like gay people.

  • @martiandog89 While homosexual behavior can be a chose, just like heterosexual behavior can be a chose, if you choose to go against your nature you will not be able to find fulfillment. Forcing a heterosexual into homosexual behavior is just as bad as forcing a homosexual into heterosexual behavior. So by my thinking we should just let everyone find fulfillment with there own sexuality, I find having sex with men as gross as any heterosexual man, but as a woman should i be forced?

  • @Tokorai I'm also quite certain the Jesus never said that women should not speak in church. But whatever part of the bible you are looking at and drawing up your conclusions.. be advised that the Bible was not a book of changing society. The bible talks about people who will twist the word of God into something less than ideal. I'm not saying that I am correct, but I would say that is clearly what you are attempting to do, or else you talk about things that you have terrible insight on.

  • like any religion, mormonism will spread good and evil (of course the definitions of these words are subject to interpretation). While they haven't helped homosexuals out, they have helped families out. Many other religions can create familial distances, but Mormonism is quite the opposite.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Mormonism and I'd never become one. But that does not mean there aren't aspects of it that I have helped myself to.

For example, the disbelief in hell :)

  • @Kelter82 yea you can pick out some good that any organization does no matter how bad that organization is. my point is this name one good thing that any religion does that cannot be done by a secular group.

  • Agreed. And you (me, anyone) can't name anything.

  • @Kelter82 damn right, so my point is we shouldnt let the good that religions do overshadow the bad because religions are not needed for the good. if religion was the only source for good then i could understand that the good outweighs the bad.

  • No we should not, for sure. But we also can't ignore the good. In my opinion, all religions are at room temperature.

  • Dan Savage is awesome, great to see him showing the insanity of some people's beliefs through the medium of humour.

  • MARRY ME DAN!!!

  • I am so glad Huckabee got stopped...

  • Haha Your Bible mentions Mormons?

  • Mormons are crazy, one time this Mormon guy tried to convert me and I laughed in his face cause he knew I was right when I told him all the reasons God didn't exist

  • i cant find the web site

  • really? it specifically says mormons will roast on a spit? guess i missed that part

  • You mean to say that Southern Baptists also teach that Latterday-Saints believe Christ and Satan have sex?

  • I'm a Latter-day Saint or "Mormon". I don't know why this guy even said something like that. SINCE NOBODY ELSE HAS CALLED HIS LIE, CHRIST AND SATAN DO NOT "DO IT". He is the only one i've ever even heard come up with something like that, i guess that's what is on his mind.

  • @cloud9acai

This is by no means an attack to you, but how can you believe in that? It was a racist religion up to the 70s. Joseph Smith wrote it in 17th century English, but it was in the 19th century. And the polygamy? It just seems like an even crazier version of Christianity.

  • Really I cannot believe someone actually said that. We don't believe that.

  • wow, homophobia...not surprising ! Most of these people think gay people are worse then straight people but they are all wrong

  • "Mike put on weight " must be all the pork

  • I love Dan Savage, I wish he were an unmarried woman, I snap him up in a second!

  • "We're like Ozzie and Harriet....except homos."

    haha

  • I love DL Hughleys laugh at the end

  • Dan is so handsome! His husband is one lucky man! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DAN!

  • I love Christians they will send 5,000 soldiers to die but if a women decides to have an abortion they take a shit on the rug. When a women wants to give the child up for adoption the Christians want to exclude gays from adopting. My head spins with their logic.

  • @cameron6136

    Christians have logic?

  • "i think they're all assholes." hahahaha that's me as an old man.

  • Guy - "[The Bible says homosexuality is a sin.]"

Dan - "The Bible says the Sun rotates around the Earth."

    Guy - "[ O_O ]"

  • jesus and satan brothers that do it. lol that got me funny shit

  • Very good :)

  • I agree with the guy that thinks they're all assholes :)

  • I love Dan Savage

  • classic! what these people believe is SO extreme man..

  • this country is honestly scary in some places they way these people think..its just mind boggling

  • Yeah, and the one woman who said it wasn't a personal attack, just an attack against the "lifestyle". Apparently, gluttony is not a sin, at least not where she's concerned...........

  • I live in Greenville, SC...this is def how these ppl think. lmao They were sad as hell when Obama won. Office was quiet as hell.

  • how do u know what to take seriously in the bible and what not?

why do u say gay marriage is bad? (and why doesnt jesus say a word about that (correct me if im wrong))

and why dont u say that non believers etc. have to be stoned to death

    in general my question is:

how do u know what is meant literally and what not in the bible?

excuse my bad english im not an american :)

  • If these friendly bible belt people had their way, we'd still be burning witches and stoning homosexuals...

  • I strongly disagree with Mike Huckabee, but I guiltily admit that I also find him to be a really likable guy.

  • No one ever READS the damn book; they just accept the cherry pickin, religious programming that is ignorantly passed down to them!

I was 53 before I read the bible, after reading it I have decided that I had been bamboozled from birth!

The reason the bible god has all the worst of human frailties, like jealousy, vengeance, misogyny, and homophobia; is because the bible god was created by men to control the minds of other men!

Reason is the Creators true gift to mankind!

  • got to agree with you on that! I went and read the bible and god was a pretty violent dude!

  • @wiskawind well, it's the Bible for them is kinda like a porn video that they fast forward to the good parts, the parts they really like, the parts that get them off (:

  • @integral Best Analogy ever!

  • @wiskawind Well said!

And congratulations on choosing reason over religion.

Even Martin Luther was obliged to confess that

Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has"

  • @wiskawind Bamboozled! Great word choice!

  • @killerlanddolphin

It was my Auntie and my Mother who belived; Daddy was a heathen! :) But I am sure they had no malice in what they chose to pass down; I got spoon-fed all the good parts at home; the bat-shit crazy, fire and brimstone, I learned every Sunday. When Auntie would lead my female cousins, and myself through Dante's Infernal at the local Holy Roller church! LOL Use to scare the hell out of me, now it just makes me laugh!

  • @wiskawind I too was once a believer. It's funny how, as I think back, that about 80% of the time I was scared shitless that if I didn't believe, I would spend eternity burning and suffering. Now, I can sleep soundly at night without the threat of a seven headed dragon coming to destroy me in the near future or having a pitchfork shoved up my bumhole...

  • @killerlanddolphin

I know exactly what you mean, as I spend the majority of my life dodging thunderbolts! LOL Nothing like a weekly dose of fire & brimstone to screw up your sleep patterns for the rest of your life. (grin) Now every Sunday I see where the Christian God will pay your bills, if ya plant a $100 seed! (wink) Hard to believe people are so gullible.

  • @wiskawind Homosexuality is not even mentioned in the bible. Literally, the references made have nothing to do with homosexuals. People need to study what they are preaching. Show me one scripture with a concordance of the true definition of terms that has ever mentioned this. Fucking idiots.

  • @wiskawind I've always felt that God made man and gave him 10 rules....man MADE religion and gave us hundreds more....I"m gonna "error on the side of caution"...and say I have never trusted mankind on this issue. Just my opinion.

  • @wiskawind

    AMEN!

  • but that is not how we are using it.

  • this guy knows nothing of the bible.

  • ac, tell me what he said about the bible that was wrong?

  • he said that the bible said that the sun revolved around the earth and then cut off so he could not be proven wrong there. it says in the bible that the lord stopped the sun from setting in the sky and the catholic church interpretted it that the earth rotated around us. it was wrong but god never said that.

  • acero, I didnt see it that way at all, but never the less, all religions are funy and strange if you stand back and look at them from some one else's perspective. I grew up in an Atheist household in Cocoa Beach Fl., My Father was a Scientist for NASA, Practically every one in the neighborhood was an Atheist, so all religions seem strange to me, although I studied Religion for a number of yrs.

  • understandable. but this man in the video is taking a supposed moral high ground by stating what he was told the bible said and mocking it.

  • acerusso, but the man is correct, it does say to kill homosexuals , etc in the old testement. Atheist , Homosexuals Deist, Agnostics are tired of this and have had this in our face forever. Can you possibly understand that?

  • but christ took back several commandments such as that and brought forth the new testament. the old testament was important to make sure the church survived. once it did it was in a certain way amended. we do not preach to do that and if he is going to wuote it he must put it into context. we preach to love all and we should not persecute. in our 13 articles of faith it says we must allow people to practice what they wish. so we are not out to get them.

  • ac, you have the right to practice your religion and believe as you may, but you must keep it out of our law books and our goverment. The bible has been used to inslave people, keep rights away from Women ( voting etc,) enough is enough!

  • yet all other mistranslations are perfectly fine huh?

  • "You shall not have homosexuality"

Wow...Apparently that dude doesn't actually read the Bible, cuz he raped that passage.

  • Hillbillies are so damn stupid and ignorant. This is why I support an socialized educational system. EVERYONE should be FORCED to go to college. The worst thing about the USA is the level of ignorant dumbass redneck bigots. Who was that guy with the cowboy hat on the pannel? A country singer no doubt. They all seem to thrive on idiocy. Im shocked that Bill allowed him on the show. Usually, he only allows smart conservatives and liberals on his show. Guess he made an exception this time.

  • lolol dumbass hillbillies

  • Smart ass kids are supposed to be stoned to death also. Fortunately the Bible is an old work of total fiction and should not be read in any other way.

  • fuk huckabee that cult leader...and yes it does say to stone gays in the old testament...

  • just thought I would write to tell you your a dumbass. If you really think gays should be stoned- you are an ignorant dumbass who suffers from unrestrained ID and you should be deported. You know homophobia is one of the first signs that a person is trying to hide their own homosexual identity. Guess you are gay like me. :) Have sex with one of your other fat hillbilly friends. You'll feel better.

  • I agree, matt23leo. beefcakes needs to go back to his trailer, pew or whatever and kill himself. He's useless to society....

  • The old testament was a different time and place. When Jesus died, he changed the law.

  • I thought god was infallible, meaning his judgment could NEVER be wrong. But it's funny that christians can do horrible things and then later smooth over those injustices with a new version of the bible and say "oops, our bad". Despite what it says in the bible, christians still tell me i should kill myself and burn in hell just cause I'm gay, so forgive me if I think most christians' opinions don't matter in the slightest.

  • D.L.'s laughing at Trace Adkins' reaction at the end was PRICELESS.

  • "This isn't an attack on one person, it's an attack on the lifestyle."

Some people use their brains like the rest of us use old, broken bricks.

  • To assume that the present god is real with it`s baggage(garbage) of heaven, hell, satan, original sin, the second coming etc., ranges from asinine to witchcraft.

Throughout the ages, man created gods for every conceivable reason he couldn`t understand.

The fear of death and an afterlife is one the greatest fears man tries to cope with.

The present god which evolved from all the previous man-created gods, enables man to cope with this fear.

Heaven for believers, hell for non-believers.

  • Haha, 5:30 is such an awkward moment.

  • how do these people remember to breath?

  • huckabee would have been much easier to run against then mccain

  • I thought the one guy at the bar was acting, "If he wudn't ded...!"

  • chuck huck

    vote ron paul

  • this guy should really study the bible before he puts his foot in his mouth. the bible just says that the sun rises and sets. we still say that all the time, hello! of course we know that the sun doesnt move its a figure of speech I bet that all the popele who pointed that out didnt get aired lol. if you show me a passege that say planely the sun revoves aroud the earth then i will believe you

  • Ah, literal interpretation ceases at inconvenience.

  • ya I looked that up in the bible i think I determined that the passage wasn't literal. so I was just trying to be fair. can't remember where that passage is though I'll have to look it up again

  • but religious people can spout anything they want about other people without taking the time to understand the group first huh?

  • religion is hypocrit: they say God is love, so pread love, but they spread hate, racism, fascism, seksism, anti-feminism, homofobia and more..

  • well I disagree with Mr. Huckabee and the Christian Far Right in general, but I do find it funny that people should be tolerant of everyone except for the Christian Far Right? This video is kind of disrespectful in my opinion.

  • You do have a point, Irish, but I do think that much of this retaliation against the religious right has to do with the Bush admin and people just being plain tired of all the religious oppression and clericial bullying going on in America. And if the religious want to have such a role in politics, then the churches should have to start paying taxes on their properties just like any other business.

  • This was so funny. It shows how contradicting Christians are and what a bunch of hate spreading freaks they really are. The bible was written by a bunch of guys and rewritten a few time. Its like that game where you start a story with one person they try and tell it to the next and so on and at the end its not even close to the first story. The bible the Quran they all just twist words to justify themselves as sane. Getting closer to God is helping others not building mega church's & lear jets

  • Mormons do believe Jesus and Satan are spiritual brothers. Check their document of beliefs. The gay guy thought he was being funny by adding the "they do it" part, and a shitload of morons sitting there willing to believe it. There is not line for sensitivity on the part of gays I see nowadays. They preach about tolerance, but they cant practice what they preach. Apparently its ok to bash Christianity left and right, but not anything else. So much for hypocrisy and tolerance.

  • You have a right to your opinion.

  • lmao this is hilarious. and true.

  • *Zeitgeistmovie(.com)*

  • That part at the end is HILARIOUS. One after the other it hits them.

  • I believe in God like gay people believe homosexuality is genetic. Science may not support it but hey, science doesn't have all the answers.

  • heh-heh... i like this statement. ;)

  • so you fill the answers science hasn't yet discovered with "God did it"?

  • Any "christian" who is against gays or pro-war obviously doesnt know the first thing about what Jesus Christ taught, which was peace, love, understanding, and tolerance.

Most "christians", particularly those related to the US government, are, as the bible puts it, "wolves in sheeps clothing".

  • a lot of people also forget that Jesus was a man for the poor and had tremendous disdain for those who benefitted economically at the expense of others. So yeah, it's obvious that so-called "Christian" voters don't read the Bible b/c if they did, they wouldn't vote Republican. Instead, they just listen to those stupid sermons thundering against "faggotry" and "foreign devils" and "hollywood godless elitists"

  • where is the rest of the shop plzzzz lol

  • Jesus is a Sun-God

  • I think that the persecution of gays is just as bad as discriminating others because of their religion and race. Its like america is agianst dicrimination now-a-days....unless its against gays.

  • This is so elitist and condescending.

  • No, it's not. It exposes the nonsense that some people believe for what it is.

  • Ah, Dan Savage...you twisted, twisted, endlessly hilarious man. :)

I've only seen him on this show twice, but his sex-advice column appears in a local paper; very entertaining.

  • You find sex advice coming from a gay man to be entertaining?

  • Why shouldn't I? He's got a GREAT sense of humor AND his advice is usually spot-on, to boot.

So how about you explain to me why the source should matter, you know, in the SLIGHTEST.

  • Seperation between state and religion is necessary. Scripture is the word of god? How ridiculous!

  • There is no separation between the state and personal spirituality...

  • There should be though.

  • PoinSpirit, he was trying to say is that religious beliefs should stay out of our Constitution.

  • The Constitution shouldn't be amended according to religious beliefs. Its ridiculous.

  • This is about spiritual...standards.

Now who's standards do you propose we use?

  • We should use the standards that are already there.

  • That would be the Judeo-Christian which we have traditionally relied on...there's a church on every corner in this country.

  • My values are very similar to Mike's and your's aren't. I hope with persuasion that more Americans will see the need for a strong moral society, that is grounded in the spiritual attributes to the best of our personal and therefore collective understanding. May those with the best values for society win.

  • Weren't the teachings of Jesus love one another no matter how they live their life? The ideals of Huckabee and the people interviewed in that video speak of hatred!

  • I do love you...and if I didn't tell you about Salvation...that would be hate.

  • Were we watching the same video? Please quote one person in there who said something hateful.

I fail to see how a Bill Maher fan could condemn anyone for "speaking of hatred."

  • We were given the right to have a spiritual underpinning in our gov't. The Founders believed in God...but not establishing a religion. Atheism, Naturalism, Secularism are also forms of a personal spirituality...and people have the right to believe and exercise these beliefs. I love that Mike stands for his personal spirituality...it's what makes us 'a more perfect union' as we debate and move forward as a country.

  • Look...we love you and want you to know that the wages of sin is death...I'm a sinner also, ok....I'd love to be the biggest adulter on the planet...however, I want life, so I do my best to not sin against what is right.
