you can tell when its gonna drop, i found out today. when you go up and you feel like youre at the top, look up and you can see youre goin really slow, and when you hear a faint "click" at the verrrry top, count down from 3 and then youll drop right after 1

@mangafreak423 I think it uses magnetism to stop so its not a sudden jerk it kind of eases you into the stop. I've been on Drop Zone and it's wicked fun, you don't want to pass it up. Enjoy being at the top and seeing all the scenery before you suddenly plunge. Put your hands up too :D

Yes and they didn't have the nets up there before to catch people if they fell out so they accidentally got this kid up there with a weird brain and he squirmed out of the seat at the top and fell and died. Yeah not going on it. I don't care if my own dad worked on it. Not doin it.

omg i went on this ride yesterday! it was ssooooo scary i had my eyes closed when we were going up and i opened my eyes when we were up all the way, and i saw clouds, it was all foggy up and my ears were plugged i couldn't hear anything and i couldn't breathe, it was really some experience, then it fell!!!! but definetly a ride that u can't really describe it is a must go on ride!!!!!!!!!!

Yes and sky tower is 210 but nobody cares. And drop zone is really 220 ft from where you fall the rest is the little light on top.

That is a rumor and has never happened. The rumor actually started on Stuntman's Freefall at Six Flags Great Adventure. A lady had long hair and it got stuck in the motor at the top and when it dropped it decapitated her. That is a myth and is completely false.

Another good one was that "Demon Drop at Cedar Point flew off the tracks and landed in the parking lot".

no one can describe the feeling going on this ride. you must ride it for yourself. If you are going for the first time you would probably regret it as soon as you realize how high it is, but by closing your eyes and counting to 6 slowly it will drop. The drop is really hard to explain cuz it feels like ur falling from a sky with butterflies inside. The drop last till 3 sec. slowly and as soon as it stops you want to go again thats how much fun it is!

Also, yes it does use cables. It only uses magnets for the brakes. The cables are what lifts the cars to the top.

The cars all drop at the same speed people! All that happens is the catch cars release and the cars plummet down the tower at the speed of gravity. It's all gravity. There is nothing that controls the speed of the drop.

If you drop a penny from the top a half a second before your dropped you will pass it. Its awesome cause they launch you, i think through magnets. Drop Zone rocks, but its most fun your second time.
