  • ASU has a second fight song, actually titled Arizona State University Fight Song on the official sheet music, by Al Davis. I haven't found a recoding, but they play it every game. The song has no lyrics. The band sings: Oh the Al Davis Fight Song, It's the Al Davis Fight song, The Al Davis Fight Song, It's the Al Davis Fight So-o-ong The AL Davis Fight song, The AL Davis fiight song, The AL Davis Fight Song, The Al Davis Fight Song, The Al Davis Fight Song! Kind of catchy, huh?

  • Felix McKernan wrote "Maroon and Gold" in the 1940s when he was the Band Director at Arizona State so I am pretty sure that is where it originated.
