For those of you who are wondering, "Rio De Janeiro" in Portuguese for "January River", and the city got its name by mistake, because when the Portuguese landed in that section of South America in January, 1503, they assumed that Guanabara Bay was an estuary (river mouth). And the people who live in that town are called "Cariocas". And it's Rio De Janeiro that was the birthplace of the "Dental Floss" bikini.
