  • These fucking tears hurt like hell , -.- , i'll do the arthroscopy on my right knee soon ...

  • Thank u doc .real informative .

  • I used to watch meniscus videos, but then took a surgeon to the knee.

  • how can i identify my knee injury? I have a popping in my knees.. due to making the mistake of rushing into the lotus position. I would really appreciate any insight on this. obviously i am not going to be doing the lotus position anymore.

  • I had knee surgery done due to a meniscus tear on Nov 18th, I was walking without crutches the next day.. Never used them.. I would say about 1 wk i was walking normal. Never went to rehab, but did some workout here at home. doing great!

  • i used to do activitys then i took an arrow to the knee

  • @mcguckman33 fuck you, if you dont know anything about this problem, then you dont have any rights to make such a foolish comments.

  • I have my surgery coming soon..

Removing the meniscus can result in problems in the future (arthritis) , but it has a fast recovery.

However, repairing the miniscus (if it can) does not have a fast recovery, but it wont mess up things in the future.

  • I had broken my knee monthes ago , now it seems ok , though not like before . my doctor did not operate my knee! it does not help i think. but I heared that in future the injury of my knee will hurt!! I do not knkow what should I do that I dont suffer when I get an old woman ;`'(

  • Hey ihaveing my surgey in 2 weeks and im very nervous. Iskateboard now,im aware im making the tear wores but iheard iwont be able to bend and funtion my knee as well again after the surgery. Is this tru bcuz i really want to skateboard and run and stay a teen and play sports.. SOMEONE RPLEASE REPLY

  • @megatron2015 dude i skate too i have the same tear i heard the knee will be fine after 1 month on crutches and two months on rehab excersizes it will be fine after that im just as worried as u it hasent been confirmed that i have a torn miniscus but physical doc said its mostl likely that i dont want to not be able to skate for 3 months :'( im only a teen too

  • @mauiskating same here! but ill be on crutches for 6weeks and recovery for 2.. So icant skate till March. Well tell me how your went, and please watch my channel

  • ok i went to a knee surgeon and we did xrays....nothing wrong with the bones. but then we do a MRI..... meniscus tear. i injured it playing football with my eighth grade team. im only 14. now i have to have surgery. to people who have had it, how long did it take to heal and were you able to do stuff like play football on it?

  • I had my meniscus surgery yeasterday.

  • @ClydeFromSouthPark

What was it like? I'm going to have it tomorrow....

  • My knee locks up all the time and It hurts to straighten it. I have a loose body ( bone fragment ) that causes that, I'm having surgery in a week

  • The pain I feel when my knee locks up is frightening and unbearable. When it snaps back in place, I try to keep it from recurring by wearing an elastic bandage. Now that I know I have a torn meniscus, I'll see an orthopedic physician to have it repaired. I don't look forward to the rehab exercises, though. Good luck to all who've been through this.

  • Sameer Dharsee from Tanzanian, i am having a serious problem in right knee, i had an injure like six years ago when i was playing soccer i twisted my knee and my Fibula was dislocated, i couldn’t walk for 6 months, thanks to physiotherapy it got better, my knee muscles do jam n can’t walk, recently I had gone to play soccer and it dislocated and the pain which I got was like a mother giving birth to a kid, I can’t walk properly till now my knee muscles are very tied, any help from you pls

  • Im 22 years old, I Injured my groin and both kness during a pick up game, I have crepitus on both of my knees, Its about a year and a half now since the accident. now heres the thing, before I can touch the rim with both hands, (I'm only 5'7). but after the injury, as pain and swelling subsided, I'm so depressed that until now It still hurts. It hurts when there's weight bearing like standing up from a chair, jogging, It even bothers me when taking free throws.. ='(

  • I had an MRI done and was told that all was well, and i left the doctors office disappointed because i still did not feel well in my left knee. To date i still feel the pain especially when squatting or kneeling. What do i do? since i am a veteran seeing a va doctor.

  • Or can happen when your sleeping....

  • PLEAASE HELP!!

im a AAA hockey goalie and i recently injured myself but im not sure what it is exactly. its on the inner part of my left knee, the part closest to right knee. and i cant fully stretch out my leg straight, but its been a week and i can walk on it perfectly fine, just cant stretch it out straight and have to keep it slightly bent, but it doesnt hurt.

does anyone know what this is?

    thank you ^_^

  • @yugipoo1 hey went you have a Knee injury you should stop doing stuff for a week or 2. knee injuries are really bad but it is better to rest other wize you could tear something you dont want. your body doesn't allow certain movement because it can cause a greater damage. so just stay calm for a week no exercise, and if it persist go to a local doctor..

  • @yugipoo1 I'd be happy to assess the problem for you if you can make it to San Francisco. Check out my website, reviews on google, facebook, etc. I fix knees with my hands in the quickest time possible, and i've been doing it for over 10 years!

  • @yugipoo1 the mechanism of how you injured yourself is important in estimating your injurym since we cant examine or MRI over youtube. could be MCL tear

  • I tore my meniscus June 13 while I was up at the park kicking around a football. I lifted my leg up as if you were playing hackysack to check the bottom of my shoe because there were these pellet things on the ground. I couldn't fix it (but in the past I could) and had to be ambulance lifted to the nearest hospital. Now on the 24th I'm going to see the Orthopedic.

  • At 1:08 He Said Porn HAHAHAAHA fail LolZ

  • 7 months ago I tore my meniscus while playing soccer (they kept me on too long). After about 3-4 months I got an MRI and now finally I got surgery 3 days ago. I havn't seen my knee yet so I can't describe it but what I do know is they had to take out a floating piece of debri but they just repaired the rest of because I'm still growing and it has a high chance of healing. In the end it should be good, but surgery is a pain.

  • @DillPickleSwimmer

Damn dude thats crazy, I also tore my lateral meniscus around 5 months ago during an indoor soccer game and i'm barely going to see the surgeon on the 24th of june....i just hope the healing process doesnt dragg, i want to go back and play already!

  • @chivas45 I'm two weeks into it and I'm just getting of crutches. I have seen my knee, it doesn't look too bad. Barely bleeds. I got off the pain meds at around 4 days. It gets kinda itchy though. And I have to cover it with plastic everytime I want to shower (because it's not allowed to get wet). They told me it'll be 2-3 months until I'm back up and doing everything I did before. What about you?

  • @DillPickleSwimmer My surgery is on the 8th of July and its for a lateral meniscus repair and the Doc said that my ACL looks damaged, so he's going to take a look. And if my ACL is damaged i'm going to be out for atleast 6 months. :/

  • @DillPickleSwimmer i am five days into it and i am not using crutches. i have stitches on my knee but doesnt look too bad. i got off the pain meds the next day after my surgery. when using excessive physical therapy it will take me about 3 months until i am back to sports. :p

  • @carcarpickles27 It's been 2 months since my surgery and it feels better than it did before the surgery already :) I was going to do physio but then after like 2 visits my appendix got infected and I had another surgery and I havn't gone since. So in other words : 2 months ago had a knee surgery. 3 weeks ago had an appendix surgery.

  • @DillPickleSwimmer good to hear! sorrry about your appendix infection.. hope you feel better!! (;

  • @marygreeno1 have you been to the doctor about it, and i dont mine about that time in 2010 done it in football and only just got it sorted, but to be honest i really dont know but did you feel a popping or catch sensation when you injured it??

  • Ive a torn meniscus that extends across two surfaces and shows as a new tear on the mri. they suggest surgery and say that the only thing stopping me from falling over is my strong leg muscles. I have a dilemma though as I have been going to a chiropractor and ive noticed a big difference with my knee since. the mri shows that it will not heal itself but its better than its been in a year since i developed the problem with it. Should i get surgery? I teach martial arts.

  • @johnbelfast2 ive had problems with my knees since i was born but i torn mine on a trampoline i think surgery helps alot but it hasnt for me because im still growing so it is a good idea and its very helpful once its healed.

  • I have to do this surgery. I dont want to have surgery, I hope ny knee could get better by physiotherapie , but it does not change , I dont know what to to do !!:-( :-( :-(

  • @marygreeno1 get surgery now! it is not painful when you have surgery. Depending of what you have!! and if it is painful.. just take pain killers afterwards!! if you dont have surgery right awayy.. when you grow up.. the symptoms will become arthritis... YOU DONT WANT THAT.

  • @mous40 well my knee will not fully straighten like my other leg, and no iv been to see my surgeon and im having an operation in july to fix my cartilage again because the meniscus repair failed, my meniscus tear was bad in was torn in half and moved to another bit of my knee, and literally me leg wont straighten it always stops at a certain place then wont budge

  • @tayla12354 I cant straighten my leg either :'( ... it hurts when i stretch it !! what should i do . I had accident in ski, 9.Feb.2011 . and still i cant make my leg straight.

  • @marygreeno1 same here :'( my knee got twisted while i was playing football :((( i cant bend my leg fully and straighten it :'(

  • i had acl reconstruction and meniscus repair about 6 weeks ago i am now going back in to have another op because my meniscus repair has failed and my knee isnt straightening its so annoying im 15 and now i cant go to south africa because of it, has this happened to anyone before???

  • @tayla12354

What do you mean by you cant straighten you knee? you cannot fully flex your quadricep? Is this due to pain symptoms or moreso from a lack of strength in the surrounding structures in the leg? Ive had a knee reconstruction and mensicus repair and i can fully straighten my leg, i get some pain when doing leg press. But anyway, a meniscus tear is not something to worry about oo much, it should heal and the surgeons should have the capability to full repair it.

  • this is what iv done, out for the rest of the football season! fucking pissssssed

  • @MattyPensonsThings Could be alot worse, i tore meniscus cartilage and also tore my acl, out of football for 8 months.

  • I hurt done severe damage to my acl and my meniscus I used to play ice hockey that's how I hurt my knee. Because I have asthma it takes more work to keep me stable during the operation so i got my meniscus operation first while I was awake they gave me an epidural. I had very limited pain after the operation. But with my acl the put me under to do it I found it sore for a while and took along time to recover I was on crutches for months. But of you have asthma and you read this it depends on ho

  • I tore my ACL and displaced my meniscus a couple of weeks ago skiing and had no idea till 3 days ago. I have no idea which injury will be worse, or if my meniscus will ever recover 100%. Hopefully after therapy Ill be able to do everything I like again....dksjhdfksljd!!!

  • i know this sounds weird but my knee doesn't hurt when i put pressure on it but when i'm walking it actually hurts on the "return"...does that make sense? the pain is on the inside of my knee (left side of my right knee) i'm totally perplexed...maybe you have an idea?

  • @seansaccount101 I just had the same injury. Had the surgery and now I'm without pain. THey removed the portion that is torn, so my recovery will be short (30 to 90 days). I only needed crutches for one day.

Well worth the day I had to take off work to get it done.

  • @TuckMe13 I know this may be late, but are you able to run like 3 miles or so without pain or your knee giving out, mine is doing that ( I haven't had surgery ,but i think i need it ) and all this drill isn't helping.I'm kinda worried that i can't join the Military because i don't have the running changeabilities. I am probably just paranoid.

  • @seansaccount101 Hi, I have torn ACL. When I run fast in streight line or when I jump with that leg, I have a pain in the back of the knee (poplite). I think it is because the tibia is way to far in front (cause that ACL is not there anylonger) and he goes back too fast.

  • All you guys are pussies! I tore my Meniscus and ACL, and walked to school the very next day you pusses! I didn't even know it was a torn ACL till 2 weeks after I tore it, my knee popped out during P.E. I still wrestled! Still played football and didn't get surgery until 2 months after the initial tear! My leg was great before surgery, I wasn't whining like yall!

  • @hbkrules5 haha guy i got a meniscus and a cruciate ligament op and meniscus is a fuck against cruciate ligament so dont think your so cool

  • @hbkrules5 it makes you cool that you were an idiot about your injury. And i know for a fact you didn't tear your mcl and your acl cuz you would feel instability in the knee and you wouldn't be able to walk very far or at all

  • @FatSk8rkid I never said I tore my MCL , I had a complex tear of the meniscus and a complete tear of the ACL. At first I couldn't walk then 5 minutes later I was walking again, went to school the next day. tore my ligaments on September 9th, didn't go to the doctor cuz the pain went away in 2 days, on September 20th I played dodgeball in p.e. and my knee popped out again. went to the doctor found out I tore both ACL and Meniscus. I got surgery on October 27th

  • I ve torn my mensicus twice the first time it healed . then the next year I tore it again with two weeks before playoffs and played through the injury and still I'm playing football without surgey. I'm suggesting not doing surgey and just do physo therapy

  • @mosijo

you can't tell everyone to go without meniscus surgery because for example in my case the torn part got stuck in between the femur and the tibia bone so no way could I stretch or flex the knee without having that part removed. Surgery just took 30 minutes and now the swelling is gone I can start focusing on the associated ACL tear which is bothering me a lot more . Had my first physiotherapy session today, sore muscles now but seems to work...

  • I had surgery 5 weeks ago. Meniscus surgery. Feels exactly the same. Removal of torn meniscus. Well since then I gained 10lbs and my knee is the same. All I wanted from this surgery was stretch down with a full squat till my butt almost touched the ground. Sux. Waste.

  • back when i played varsity baseball i jumped to get a pop fly and i came down after catching it and i could straighten my leg, i had to get orthropedic surgery and i guess i flipped it completely around and then tore it completely in half, took 9 hours of surgury to fix it all, so meniscus tears are no fun at all!

  • penis

  • @skate4fun385 lol

  • My names dr. blunt, ill be discussing getting high and what it means to you

  • @LedSledJoe what day does the first class start?

  • I had surgery for a meniscus tear 10 wees ago, and returned to basketball 5 weeks later. It felt fine the first few days, but the 2nd week back it started to feel unstable and all the surrounding tissue became extremely tight and inflamed (most likely due to a lack of strength in the supporting structures.) I'm still playing/practicing w/ little or no pain, although I can't fully "flex" my knee, I can extend it just fine, but flexion is a problem. Any suggestions?

  • en español porfavor??

  • @molokaituxtla Juan from Mind Your Language!

  • 4 days ago playn b-ball jumpd n came dwn on my left leg n tried 2 chnge directn wit it @ same time. rite away felt shrp pain in knee n wnt down. pain ws instanteneous. didnt hear pop but ws n still am in pain. coulndnt contnue play. stil cnt extnd leg fuly strait cuz feel heavy pressre n pain in da inside centr of knee very tight n painful evrytime i try. dis is da bigest problm rite now. minor swellin. no strait leg. cnt walk. cnt bear weight for pain. stiff joint hrd to bend. WHAT IS THIS?

  • @stevecsulb10 im no doctor but i have similar symptoms and got a MRI and my meniscus is slightlty torn, i am going to get a surgery on it in january. this sucks because i just got a shoulder surgery last month FML

  • @stevecsulb10 sounds like an acl

  • why me ?

  • I had a tear up meniscus and I could not get my knee straight for six months . I had surgery 2 weeks ago but still cannot stretch it . what could be the problem?. what they did was cut 2/3 of the meniscus

  • @jessy1319ful If you have been unable to extend your leg to the fullest for 6 months, you don't just get that back magically after surgery. The tissue in your hamstrings will have become more rigid and you might be suffering from some muscle degradation. You should consult a physician, and ask for rehab options so you can regain your full range of motion. Good luck.

  • @HikerDK thanks i will do that

  • @jessy1319ful Easiest thing to do at first is ride a stationary bike w/ little or no resistance to regain your range of motion. And every couple of minutes try lowering the seat to force your knee to bend slightly more while it's moving, but don't go so far that it becomes painful. Hope this helps

  • I had a tear up meniscus and I could not get my knee straight for six months . I had surgery 2 weeks ago but still cannot stretch it . what could be the problem.

  • I tore my meniscus a year ago and my doctor wouldnt do arthroscopic surgery on it. i'm going back to him in a few weeks because the pain is getting worse so hopefully he will decide to do this procedure! I'm tired of constant pain in my knee!

  • Do we have to bed rest after surgery,. for how many days or weeks. plz help me out

  • @Aashqan ya...but just enough to keep you awake for the next day...but out of my 5 knee surgeries you dont have to stay in the hospitol. they sent me home after i woke up from the surgery. hope this helped

  • @Aashqan for the night and after just have to rest your leg .

  • A mi me operaron hace un mes y creo que todo va bien en la recuperacion. Lo cierto que yo me dañe el menisco externo derecho hace 18 años. Me lo operaron en San Jose CA.

  • Hi. these video's are so helpfull :)

  • What a great video!! I was climbing and descending stairs when mine tore or frayed.

Can you recommend a surgeon in Houston TX?

  • i got that 2 motherfukin weeks before the first game of the season (high school football) i wanted to play so bad but i dont evn know anymore

  • its not that bad i got my done a year ago and now on 8-26 i am having my other knee done. I went back to work a week after the surgary and now i am only taking 6 days off just enough time to get the stitches out before i go to work

  • here... im really worried should I be?? my knee is a little bit swollen as shown on the picture there near enough the same spot... but i havent got any serious pains... i fell on it yesterday but i can walk on it without a problem i can stretch it no problem.. the only problem is when i sort of try to run.. it then hurts where the actueal swollen bit is can anyone help me?? please write back to me

  • @dutchmatt1991 I tore my medial meniscus and it was like a sharp hot burning pain mine didnt hurt unless I ran or jumped. I eventually got arthoscopic surgery to removed the torn piece. I would go see a orthopedic doctor and find out if you torn your meniscus

  • I have a miniscus tear and i chiped a part of my knee cap. they say that i need surgery and everything wiill be better but im scrared that if i get it ill never be able to skateboard agan and im a die hard skateboarder. DO YOU THINK ILL BE FINE?

  • @jOeCoOL9111 :

I tore my medial meniscus 14 years ago @ 30 years old. 2/3s of the medial meniscus was removed via arthroscopic surgery. After about 2 months of rehab I was fine to work again (construction). It was about a year before I was very comfortable phychologically with doing anything I wanted.

Since then I have enjoyed riding quads in the desert, Snowboarding and wakeboarding with absolutley no problems.

Get the surgery and enjoy life again while you are young!!!

  • @jOeCoOL9111 Get it done. I felt the weay you did for 2 years. Now I finally got my knee surgery done and it is like getting a second lease on life. Im 30 yrs old am Im playing soccer again. Go for it

  • I´ve had Had surgery twice now and also practice Ju-Jutsu.

I´m looking at a major surgery because the knee is still messed up! I can practice as long as I take the inflamitory pills and they tell me there dangerous too! They tell that they have to cut the bone and then reconnect it to straighten the leg out.

Has anyone ever had this surgery and was able to practice martial arts again?

I hope the answer is yes!

  • Just found out today I have this tear, sux.

  • Its now two weeks since I had this done, plus some shaving or whatever the surgeon called it. Just before me there was this guy who had it done by the same surgeon, we chatted after he left the operation theatre, he started walking almost immediatly after the procedure .I wasnt so lucky though, it still hurts and its still swollen. The surgeon told me he had to go in deep hence my delay in walking. I am no longer on anti-inflammatories, a good thing 2 cause i cant stand those pills. I'm just ok

  • I HAD THIS DONE WHEN I WAS 18 , I FAINTED DURING THE OPERATION , I COULDN'T BARE THE STRANGE FEELING OF SOMEONE TOUCHING AND TARING THE INSIDE OF THE BONE! U BETTER WATCH THESE VIDEOS FIRST, THEN YOULL UNDERSTAND THE FEELING, AND DON'T WEIR SHOUSE WITH 2 MUCH GRIP ON THE SURFACE WHILE DOING SOME SPORTS

  • @hooba1971 u fainted , they didnt put you to sleep?

  • no dear nynthe1 , u could choose from totally narcose or only the knee, I choose the knee, so u could watch with the docter on the screen when he filmed the inside.

, lmao, hahahaa,, yes it is not really strange, the knee(or my knee) is very sensetive, when sombody point a finger at my knee I faint ..,, lolll, just kiddn, but when sombody sqeeuzes my knee I cannot bear..

  • @hooba1971 Now it is okay , please be carefull with your knee'sss it is not a car shock absorber, ; ))

  • Im super scared now cuz i need a surgery done too...plus i have a swollen ACL ontop of that

  • im getting this done on the 10th of august. im scared lol!

  • Im having one on the 10th. My 2nd one in a year . This sucks

  • I had this done twice so far :/ damn birth defects

  • im getting this done on the 20!!!!

  • I am having this done on the 16th, wish me luck guys .My knee is very swollen and it hurts a lot! I hope I'll not have any complications after this procedure.

Good luck to joeadame , nztony62 and mriggs22!

  • 14th July for me here in New Zealand - I probably shouldnt watch too many of these videos first, I might get a little creeped out!

  • im getting this op. done on the 20th of july!!!! i tore mine on a tube (boat) it also is strained!!!!!!! :0

  • I tore mine doin squats in football im havin surgery on the 12th of july

  • im in wrestling well was now im in bjj, but during the time i wrestled in high school i felt this really sharp pain in the inside of my knee and it would swell for a couple days. I went to my trainer she said i sprained it, so i wore a knee brace and it helped. Although it still hurts every so often especially when i bend it and at times it swells up if i dont warm up my legs right. the swelling goes on for a good week too. Could i possibly have a torn meniscus?

  • You've given me more info in this video and a related one you did than my surgeon gave me in three visits.

  • Hi, Doctor I was playing cricket in jan and I heared a popping sound in my knee , I went with the RICE formula and it worked for me . bt then again it popped up in March , I again rested it for 1 week and it was healed , it happened to me now for the third time in May. I have visit the orthopaedic its a meniscus tear ,surgery . I am 25 male in sydney and I wanted to know that what are the post surgery results, my work includes standing and a normal walking ????

  • ho !

  • what if MRI doesnt show tear..and your not sure if ligaments or tear.. doctors want to scope to see..hmmm do you take chance and get it done? or wait to see if heals..it's been 7 months on and off

  • I had surgery on my knee and i was only 13 years old ..... but i did alot of soccer

  • I had a surgery in january on my hip and i started again whit soccer and now my meniscus is kinde turned .. another serguray :(

    im just 15 years old

  • i had a soccer injury and the doctor told me that the injury could heal itself instead of recurring to surgery and i spend nearly 5 months without being able to put weight on it. now im kind of ok but not fully recovered after almost a year. i should have chosen surgery.

  • @zighaiwan yeah, when you tear either of the ligaments, you cant cut strongly in any direction and based on the severity, you might experience the knee giving way. If the knee gives way (which will be common if you choose to play sport), you will experience an inflammed knee that will completely restrict movement of the leg. It really is painful.

  • knee stuff lol

  • hotrod, most common cause of the "popping sensation"is a torn ACL and PCL ligament which help to stabalise the knee from moving too far in any direction. You should really go to the doctor and get it checked out, you might need a knee reconstruction.

  • @mous40: Can this injury cause a loss of speed and mobility?

  • exactly five moths and a half i had been operate from the meniscus and the ligament and now i`m perfec anrd really near to begin to start making sports again.

  • can a miniscos repair itself, if just slightly torn, ?? I have ahd some pain in front, as indicated by the red aarow, but it has basically gone away after two weeks of babying it etc.

  • i tore my meniscus, acl,and lcl and i hadf three docotrs say no surgery and 2 say surgery. They told me not to get surgery because im 13 and it willscrew up my growth plate i guess. Its been like a year now and my leg still pops funny and hurts should i go to thne doctors again?

  • @nyykounion hey i riped my miniscus and kept on ripping it and i just got surgery on it and im 14 but if you get the surgery it will hurt the next few days

  • Can you play sports after that operation will be hit by natural or Palm after all the effort or exercise?

    thank you

  • what causes the knees to pop? mine pops constantly. not just once in a while ALL the time. it will start to ache a little bit when sitting still and i just straighten it out and pop. 5 mins later and through out the night. i can be standing and twist my leg outward and it will pop twice.

  • mines the same, i torn my crucial ligement last march and im still waitin 4 my opp. i shud get it seen 2 mate

  • PROLOTHERAPY for torn cartilage. will heal it ..

Get the cartilage hacked out and it is downhill from there.

PROLOTHERAPY - read up on it ..

  • I tore mine in August ... backwards and forwards to the hospital and I thought I'd have to have surgery but it started to get better with physiotherapy and it only really hurt at night. Then last week working in the garden I did something to it again and I'm back where I started. Really pissed off - seeing the doc tomorrow to find out if I'm going to need an op or not.

  • I tore mine 6 months ago during brazilian jujitsu , it took approx 5 months to walk properly again but always with a certain amount of pain , i had an arthroscopy to fix the tare in the cartalidge 3 days ago and can already bend my leg and walk around pretty well im amazed at how fast the recovery is after the op not to mention there isnt much pain at all .B

  • Hey bro how did you get it torn in BJJ? What happened?

I have had 4 knee surgeries because I got hit by a car. I do martial arts too, later in life during Judo I messed my knees up more. Then after surgery I felt okay but I think i injured them again just because I was lifting weights. Im so pissed.

  • @whitedragonawa

I also have had 2 surgeries already and am looking at aanother one! I also do Martial arts( Ju-Jutsu) are you able to train again? I felt good after 2 moths and took it real slow at the time. Get down on my knee though and then i strected it to much in training and the next morning i had fluid in the knee and it hasn´t been better since. I sure hope I can Train again because i worked to hard to get where i am now!

  • @14152629 Stop stretching it so much in class. Refuse to do it. Tell your instructor about your injuries. YOU HAVE to use humility in yourself to understand you wont be the same and are put back some and you can STILL train and be very good at fighting. Many UFC fighters have ACL tears but still fight after surguries. Dont limit yourself. Rely on God to see you through and train soft and careful. Thats what I do. Work more on hands than feet.

  • @whitedragonawa

Thanks for the answer. My intructor (sensei) is the first one who makes me slow down! I do trust in God and i know he´ll help me get thrugh this one to. I don´t do all the real hard core stuff now in Ju-Jutsu and i do take my time and i happy now that i have my belt test over with and now i´ll try to get myself back in shape . Thanks again!

  • @14152629 Oh okay you do jiujitsu. Be VERY careful. While JJ does place less stress on your legs cause you wont get kicked there like in muay thai, you can still get seriously injured by a knee bar, or heel hook. NEVER let ANYONe do that to you ALWAYS tap out way before it even hurts. Dont lep people do leg locks on you in sparring. Agree to not do them much. Be careful man. Also try boxing or something. Just learn for technuiques and self defense not to be a champion. That way no hard sparring.

  • Ok i need to know do i have this or not.

I hit my knee straight in an iron fens wile playing basketball. Dr said she wanted to take the water out with a needle. I refused cous of all the stories i hear of ppl getting crippled after.

My knee recovered in 2 months. At first i couldnt kneel and, but then the pain went away.

After 2 years, one morning while still in bed, i felt a horrible pain that made me scream in the same knee, that lasted about 1 minute. It happens random, from then on

  • So what could it be ?

  • you should have a web address link in your description

  • I tore mine 4 days ago playin football. It sukcs really bad

  • @BMXi3can hey I tore mine in football too. for my surgery they ended up shaving the tissue instead of stitching it. if ur getting a surgery dont worry its a really easy process. I cant wait to get back to football next season!!!

  • i tore mine when i was in wrestling.

  • I have gone through this surgery one month back. Still i have pain a little bit. Having a little bit difference while walking, But while walking on stairs and even in crossing roads it is more.

Some one please help me for the following questions.

    1) How much time it will take to recover?. How will be the condition after 1 month, after 2 month...etc?

    2) Do I need to have a check-up once again?

    3) Do I need to have physiotherapy still. What type of physiotherapy i have to do?

  • Comment removed

  • @srinivasinf hey to be honest with you mine took about 3 months till it became completely pain free. I noticed that the more I worked out my thighs the less the pain became over time. Continue to do physiotherapy if u want but I gave up on mine a month in. that could also be the reason why it took 3 months to heal. The stronger the thigh becomes the less pressure comes of the knee. Goodluck

  • Recovery time differs fromperson to person, i have to have stitches out after 2 weeks and a check up after 6 weeks , i was givin very basic exercises to do to aid my recovery e.g lock legs out straight and tense hold for 10 secs and bend knee till you feel it pull and hold for 10

  • Dr. can a sonogram clearly determine if you have a meniscus Tear?

    Thanks

  • Thanks doc but my knee still hurts when I climb stairs , Its a pain just above my knee ... can't figue out why it does not heals I also feel pain when I do sprints

  • Thanks

  • He just remove some of the miniscus and that doesn´t help at all.

  • well i tore my acl and my mcl and i dont wear a brace and its been 2years

  • what are some symptoms of this? Because i when i do leg curls i feel a sort of pulling sensation below my right knee cap and not sire if this may be a result of it or not. When i squat down i feel it a little bit but not as much. I also feel a burning sensation from there as well but this may have been a result of me rubbing it

  • can some one tell me how long the pain after the surgery of the meniscus can stay. ive been opperated 2 weeks ago and i wanna know what i can do to get better fast.

  • Hello my fellow dutch friend...I had mine done 8 weeks ago and i'm back to doing most of my activities like basketball and Muay Thai. The most important thing is rehab. I do a lot of strength and balance exercises, mixed in with stretches at the end of my workout about twice a week.

It is still a little bit tender on outside, but my range of motion is better. Also, be sure to warm it up before doing anything athletic. Tell Bas Rutten i said "Hi" if you see him. lol
