This stylus sux. You have to put like 900kg of pressure on the screen for it to work. Not only that, but then it slides across the screen about as smooth as sandpaper. I bought one of these off ebay and threw it in the bin after 4.3 minutes of usage. I would rather use my genitals on the screen than this heap of poorly-engineered monkey mess.

Normal Stylus don't work because they use presure sensitive screens. The iPhone and the iTouch use electro sensitive touch screens. It picks up the electricity from your fingertips. The stylus above is made out of some conductive material which allows the transfer of electricity from your hand to the itouch/iphone.

Presto is right. try using a regular one. it doesnt work and it will just scratch it. take a hair dryer to one and it will start up random things. its not like a smart board at your school or a pda its heat sensative

i think its because the phone looks for the human hand, to make sure its not a pocket or your demin pants. Th e little ridges causes it to recognize it as a human finger :D
