  • Great montage of clips set to a song that builds, drives and pushes right over the edge. Thanks for posting such an excellent video.

  • RGAD is such an underrated film. The wordplay tha Stoppard wrote is well managed here in this great film. Thanks for posting ... no matter how long it lasts up on YT.

  • I love this song. I`ve watched the film, and I love this film. My grandmother is dead for three days. The song is about death and film is also about it. My book is about two bards, and these two guys resemble them. I want to have this video in my computer. Thank you very much.

I don`t speak english very well, sorry

  • Anyone who's seen this movie, is it good?

My favourite Modest Mouse song :)

  • Great song!!!!

    PROG ON!

  • This is genius. All of it.

  • This is amazing, video and song eh.

It makes me want to see this movie

  • Videos like this should get millions of views, not some cheap and meaningless crap, don't you think?

  • who the hell made u the boss

  • Very well done video.

  • Great pairing!

  • now that was something good... The movie itself was amazing, the song itself was amazing... guess what that video is? :)

  • Ok there was a vid of this song that was freaky good - Maybe, probably, was Modest Mouse official, but it's been taken down or something. It was like abstract visuals, seemingly random but not. Not a slide show either. Anybody know where it is? Or if it's been removed, then why? or what?

  • What an inspired combination - your timing and choice of scenes was just fabulous <3 <3 <3

  • Great video! Certainly life is no rehearsal!

  • amazing i loved the outro of this song with this combination of scenes :)

  • That's one way of looking at it. I had to do a project on the lyrics and the way the song progressed. As both a poem and a song I broke it down a million different ways. It was pretty fun!! :)

  • reminds me of a sensory deprivation tank or something....

  • Dear God I love this song!! I've been looking for it forever!! Never knew what the title of the song was. Man, all of a sudden I'm real happy :).

  • wow, you combined my favorite movie with one of my favorite songs. I really appreciate how you play them off one another, and how the themes of the video build toward the end. Great job!

  • If I buy the album (WWDBTSES), it will be because of this video. I loved this song.

I saw about half of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and enjoyed it way more than I expected. I was delighted to see these two things put together.

  • Great video. One of the best R&G videos I've seen =) I've seen it a few times and each time I end up liking the song more and more. Excellent. I ♥ this movie, this song, and this music video!

  • Great Song - Great Movie

  • Trust me YouTube doesn't give a fuck if you are just a fan. They'll take this video down as soon as they discover it contains the entire song. It has happened to two of my videos. I won't upload them to YouTube anymore not worth my time.

  • Oh, I know. I've had like 7 or 8 videos removed. I still feel like I should say it, though.

  • What do they gain from doing that!? This video makes me want to buy the CD more. It's good marketing if you ask me, a good example of the band and the movie.

  • well, they gain not being potentially in legal hot water with the people who own the rights to the content being posted, as they can point out that they're making a good faith effort to prevent it - that's what Youtube gets out of it.

As to what the owner of the IP gains? Nothing, in my opinion - plenty, apparently, in theirs.

  • I totally bought this album thanks to listening to it on you tube. It is one of my favorite albums of all time. Its not like the album is being downloaded illegally. sound quality on album is better too. nothing wrong with discovering whats on the album.

  • @HatKing that was a year ago. I think we're safe.

  • me like eth yesss >=} 5 stars :D

  • well-made

  • I Signed It To Comment This. Now That Says Something lol.

Sweet Video, 5* Very Well Done.

  • what movie is it?

  • ...Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

  • Great movie, great song, genius to combine them. Kudos.

  • Damnit. I've been infiltrated.

  • I absolutely love the scene where the pages glide across the floor mixed with the song.

  • I've watched this a 100 times and though it was the video. Nice work.

  • this is a wonderful video!! remember us poor utubers when ur famous!!!

  • Jawsome!

I read the book, and now I'm definetly going to look for the movie after this video. Bravo!

    Also, Modest Mouse is amazing.

  • if you haven't yet, you've got to check it out. it's great. there's an element to the movie, sort of a running gag, that isn't in the original stage script, but apparently it was Stoppard's idea. You'll see what I mean when you see the movie.

  • excellent song Choice!

  • i've never seen this movie or heard this song but i they seem to go hand in hand

  • this is such a fitting song for this movie. a lot of people interpret the movie to be a representation of theater and how roles must be fulfilled, but from the start of watching this movie my interpretation was that they were dead and so was everyone else around them. A fitting sequel to Hamlet and a fitting song to the sequel.

  • I love this movie. Great editing with the song.

  • Is 4:28 filmed at Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco?

  • I wish I could have oral sex with this song, either giving or receiving and having a baby with Isaac Brock or this video's author for it to be one of those wonder-genius-babies

  • beautiful

  • this is amazingly excellent.

    I LOVE IT <3

  • Good mix of the death imagery and lyrics. I thought you edited it up to portray Richard Dreyfess as a sort of God character, who is able to resurrect people at His own whim, like when he "dies" on stage then peeks out an eye.

In the end, everyone else is struck with the fate He dealt them. (in the full movie you see him yanking R&G's nooses himself).

  • guaranteed to never have seen the movie (or read the book)

  • Hey i like this video & all.. but i'd like to know if somebody knew what happened to another fan video of "Parting of the Sensory".. it was a completely trippy video.. if anybody knows a lil information i'll be very grateful.. i loved that video :(

  • I know the one you're talking about. It's a bunch of weird, random images, right? I didn't realize it was gone. I just tried searching for it here and yeah, can't find it. D: Dunno why.

  • Yeah, I had that one in my favorites and was disappointed when it disappeared.

  • Wow! That was really well done! It got across themes from the play and it all worked well with the song. I'm impressed

  • I agree, the last 2 minutes are excellent.

    Plus I love the song.

  • You gotta love how a song with such a mellow/downtempo beat can end up like this song does in the end lol

  • Excellent--! At first, the disconnect between the tune and the imagery kind of jarred me, but as it got closer to the end, it fit more and more exactly. I LOVED the last minute and a half. Wonderful work!
