Thanks again. One way I think of it is (I think) it is wrist coils, timed slightly out of phase with each other, and in the same (rather than mirror image / opposite) direction, although I could be wrong.
I was practicing lotus hands yesterday but it didn't work...And today I woke up, imagined how one hand works and next put hands together and...I get it! Thank you for this video!
omg, you're such a good teacher!! i've been trying (fruitlessly) for 2YEARS to figure out this move. Less than 2 minutes into your video, and i've got it! can i get a hallelujah??!!
Thank you for posting this! It is so clear and helpful.
What you said about it being a personal movement, and yours will look a little different from mine, and mine will look a little different from how other people do it - that idea helped me so much! Thank you again :)
thank you again - you do have very good videos - it clicked after a couple of minutes, until I thought about it and I lost it - will practice lots more :D
Gosh, I still don't get it. Even when I play the vid in slow-mo. That's frustrating, I usually never have such big problems with motions. Hah, I am going to get this and practice even harder!
Hope you do get it. :-) I tried to show as much as I could.. if you don't get it.. maybe I can do a video from my perspective.. that might help... look down at my own hands. Hugz, Nika
Thank you. I got it now. I needed a little help from another video but now I can work on making the effect better because I have very small hands. Lots of dance-love, thanae
That was a really good explaination! I was doing something totally different before and it felt awkward but this seems to work a lot better for me! Thank you!!!!
do you know how to edit videos? it's really easy. would be good if you could upload one where you edit the hand movements to be much much slower. somehow i still can't pick it up. :P the only way i can do it is by twisting my hands towards the body & i see no way around that.
haha.. i thought i finally knew how to do it from you last video. took me a while to get it. but i'm doing exactly what you said not to do. - so now i'm gonna have to try again with this new video. thanks ;)) wish the volume was louder, tho. i'll have to get my headphones.
It helps to keep the wrists touching at all times. Some people think of this as each hand making a figure 8.
Keep your fingers long and energized.
Personally, the way I learned this movement was by trying it in front of a mirror and watching a friend. Now I don't have to bug my friends for a visual. Thank you Nika!
Really Cool... Great video!

Hmmmm... The pads of your thumbs always touch in this movement... you follow your thumbs in a figure 8 away from your body... hope this helps. Nika
