Glad you liked it, I agree it's definitely a song that gets stuck in your head. The fun part of piano roll collecting is finding rolls like this. I just wish I knew who played it! Thanks for visiting my channel.
It might be by Rudy Erlebach. I think he was at Connorized by this time. I wouldn't say this roll has "his sound" necessarily, but that's subjective, since his sound and style changed from the early Aeolian years through the late Paramount years, and several other companies in-between.
I think you may be right. I'm still not sure, but I'd narrow it to either Jack Lloyd or Rudy Erlebach upon listening to a few more rolls by these guys.
Thank you for the compliment. It's due for a tuning in my opinion, this is on the verge for me. Some of the top end notes are getting a bit twangy. Its more noticeable in person though. I may wait a couple months more as it hasn't gone flat nearly as much as either the tuner or I thought it would, meaning the pins and pin block are in good order.
This is so great. Haven´t heard a piano roll for many years. Last time was at the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments. And the song is so wonderfully played!!!!! Thank you so much for uploading.
You're very welcome :) I'm glad I could reintroduce you to the sound of a roll. (Honestly, the piano needs a smidge of tuning lately). I'm one of those people that can't go for a period of more than a day without playing through a roll or two, It's Infectious!! LOL
GREAT roll and sounding piano. Don't know if
I've got this one or not. Thanx for posting.

I rarely get that interested in piano roll recordings, but this is a true gem - i'll be humming this for weeks. Thanks for sharing!

Lovely sounding piano. I've heard this tune before--really captures the era it was written in :{)
