  • @laserthebeam1 yeah what a shame.

  • @laserthebeam1 I'm sorry but I'm going to have to deny your request.

  • Here's a demand. Get a job you dirty hippies.

  • Can you read?

Declaration of The Occupation of NYC by The (new) NYC General Asslembly

    The New Common Sense

The American People's New Economic Charter

Otherwise watch the evening News and find out what vampires got married on serial TV, and what happened on Dancing with the Stars...

  • My demands in this protest is that housing be taken off of the stock market BY LAW AND PRICE CAPED IN THE AFFORDABLE FOR ALL RANGE so that all human beings can afford a place to live be sheltered and finnaly HAVE THE RIGHT to own a home and be sheltered from thr elements without financial and status discriminaton

  • This guy has the perfect face for radio. As for brains? I don't think there is an insect that small.

  • The answers to why we're occupying: /watch?v=MO32GGRG2bs

  • The simple truth is the elite in this nation dont need anything from these people, they dont view them as a commodity, or an asset, they have nothing to offer the elites and more importantly are not stopping their productivity. They also dont care about the civil unrest being caused, its certainly not costing them, and their message isnt resonating with the nation either. The only people these protestors are harming are themselves. The only thing that will resolve this will be a recovery.

  • finally some sense

    now educate the zombies

  • I don't think the elite should do what we want, rather there should not be an elite, they should join us, and we should do what we want through general assemblies and what not.

  • People understand what it's about, they just don't want to admit it. I suspect a lot of them have a vested interest in maintaining the regime.

Just look at Mr Cain - he has a vested interest as a corporate scum bag to stop this from developing.

How is this visible? By the fact that they have no counter argument other than insulting, misleading or diverting the argument. You won't find one person critical of OWS offering a statistic.

When someone is loosing they resort to verbal/physical attack.

  • Watch this video as I have predicted & documented the corporate makeover of the NYC Landscape. This didn’t happen overnight!

“The Urban Eye” Fits in with the OCCUPY WALL STREET movement "Join your host Jerry Rio as he takes you on a nostalgic tour as he explores the disappearing icons of this metropolis and find out what New Yorkers think about unchecked development and the corporate homogenization that has altered and destroyed much of the uniqueness of the New York City landscape"

  • @THYRDEYE same thing happening in lots of places. hard to tell what city you are in anymore. The sprwal looks the same

  • It's because of these fucking for profit wars too.

  • Here's another demand: strike down the Supreme Court ruling that gives corporations the same rights as individual citizens. Corporations have none of the responsibilities. They should not enjoy the rights.

  • I don't understand how people are saying they don't understand what Occupy Wall Street is about, or what they are protesting for. I did a quick google search, and found all of the information.

  • they are there to challenge high concentrations of power and capital.and those power centers don't like to be challenged...plain and simple

  • Mr Seder

I appreciate what you're saying, but if we don't list some basic demands, then I think the elite will give us token reform without real change.

Maybe you think those protesting can keep it up. Unfortunately, I am more cynical.

Already, people are attempting to marginalize the protests... pointing out protesters with fringe ideas/beliefs & saying they speak for everyone.

We need to list realistic & achievable demands that everyone would agree with and then go from there.

  • I'm a little concerned that you would let "the establishment" decide what would "satisfy" you. The majority of the actions that we take as individuals decide where we are in life. I'm not trying to put down the movement or anything, it's just odd that people would want to protest until someone else does something about your situation.

  • listen to the tide slowly turning wash all our heartaches away we're part of the fire that is burning and with this ashes we can build another day - The Moody Blues

  • I couldn't agree more about the demands, Sam. Hopefully there are those at the ground who keep track of your coverage.

  • prohibition & the war on drugs, private prisons, the ‘patriot act’, domestic spying, checkpoints, trade deficit, debt, inflation, the black budget, missing $2.3 trillion, federal reserve system, bailouts, lobbyists, invading countries, bombing & killing civilians, police brutality without prosecution, the School of the Americas, military industrial complex, 9/11 inconsistencies and cover-ups, free speech zones, destruction of our life support system(aka environment)... there is plenty to protest

  • Also, remember the difference between "goals" and "demands."

  • Tired of corporate dick breath? TRY something NEW and REFRESHING, REVOLUTION!

  • Sorry to nit-pick, but you do spell a few demands out at 3:50 and read out a list before this. A blind expression of anger may be cathartic, but for real change can only come about when everyone knows what 'change' is.

  • Keep the movement independent = Win.

  • thank you Sam!! You just countered Kristoff's piece in the Sunday Times!! brilliant

  • Who the fuck are the 3 idiots that didn't like this?

  • THIS is intelligent radio. Independent media is refreshing.

  • Y O U S U C K

  • like in egypt !!!

your governement can always cut the internet

  • All the problems listed have been created by the government working with corporations to take away the rights of the people. End the special rights for corporations and get government out of the way of progress.

  • 1. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac are government supported entities.

    2. They accept bailout because the gvt offered them bailouts (172 D, 91 R Bush's 700B)

    3. Sue them.

    4. FDA EPA working hand in hand with corporations with gvt granted limited liability.

    5. Adults signed contracts that are backed by the gvt in exchange for gvt granted insurance and gvt granted limited ability to bk.

    6. "collective bargaining" is not bargaining.

    7 government granted limited liability

    They should protest gvt

  • @PabloKoh6 yes right

    occupygoldmansachs,standard andpoors and the rest

  • Yesss!

  • Well said Sam. Many in the corporate "elite" want to ACT like they don't understand the general message. They're stupid in plenty of ways, but not THAT stupid.

  • Sam Sedar is correct. People are demonstrating because they have a variety of real grievances. & The Conservative spin tanks ( for the 1 % elites ) are frustrated that they may not be able to come up with an effective "divide & conquer" strategy.

  • Money out of politics is another demand.

  • Bravo ! I wish there were little icons we could put in these comments because mine would be the one with the little guy jumping up and down clapping his hands.

  • Thanks Sam, this is a great comment....

  • Very good point sir

  • this needs to go viral

  • It's crunch time. We won't get another chance.

  • What part of TAX THE RICH, STOP THE WARS isn't being understood? Damn! Why folks keep making shit up?

  • Here's a demand, campaign finance reform!

  • @nspeert CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM! It's imperative; All other issues cease to matter until this is resolved!

Too bad the largest party for this is the Green Party. :-/

  • @FloppyFormatFrenzy We need to push Green again. Start going to local meetings and trying to get Green candidates at the local level so it can grow.

  • @Mestilf22 - That's how the raving lunatic- Illinois GOP Congressman "deadbeat" Joe Walsh got elected by 200 votes in 2010. Progressives split the vote in the general election. Conservative spin tanks love the Green Party & They are constantly working to make sure Ron Paul & the other TeaBaggers stay within the GOP fold.

  • @nspeert Yes!

  • @nspeert

I agree. How do we reform it though? I think we should run different experiments in different states and see what works.

Personally, I think we should eliminate elections for the House and institute a random lottery for people interested in holding a seat. They must get 25 signatures from people in their district that know them and will attest that they have integrity and are of sound mind. This would put common people in government and act as a check and balance from the elite

  • Occupy the Federal Reserve

  • @trevsco They already are in Chicago.

  • @violetdays I think you mean Boston

  • @violetdays I think you mean Boston

  • Good work Sam! Keep these coming!
