Agreed, Clarence is absolutely better than Kurt, especially as a guitar player. I like some Nirvana song, but I like pretty much every song I've heard that Clarence is on.
let's get the order straight here; Kurt Cobain sounds like Clarence White, maybe...not the other way around. Kurt doesn't even come close in stature to the towering genius of Clarence White
Does anyone else on this planet think it sounds like Kurt Cobain singing? I once fooled a load of mates telling them it was a rehearsal out take for the Unplugged show Nirvana did on MTV
it was actually co-written with Billy Pane. People always forget that Billy co-wrote a lot of songs with George -it sounds as if Billy is actually playing the Piano on this, but am not sure...
RIP Clarence. Shear perfection! Thanks for uploading this.

I think Clarence has a perfect voice for this piece. Honestly, not today's Top40-autotune-hit-radio voice...but a perfect Appalchian nasal voice.

This is absolutely the best version of this song. Absolutely great. My fav version by far of this song.

I hadn't thought of it before, but Clarence White's voice does sound like Kurt Cobain.

A great Lowell George song that The Byrds absolutely NAILED! The "Untitled" Era of The Byrds were criminally underrated!

@longlivejerryg Thanks for the heads up! Who can blame anybody for wanting to cooperate with Billy Payne?
9erfandex 1 year ago
@longlivejerryg That would be awesome if Payne did! But I'm pretty sure it's Terry Melcher on the ivories.
