Liquid dish soap will not remove the clear coat but some people say it will dry out and fade your plastic/rubber trim over time. If I am wanting to remove the wax/sealant I sometimes will use a car wash designed to safely strip wax. If you do use Dawn, may be a good idea to apply a dressing to your trim afterwards just as a safety precaution.
Thats a first, never heard that before. I use it when I know I am going to clay bar the car or wax it. Using a good car wash that is neutral ph is best. There are many soaps on the market that are good. I will be adding many new products to our line of car care products, including a wash and wax product. Stay tuned.
I never really thought about that, its a good point, but you still have to go over the car with a towel to get it totaly dry. And I usually give the car a wipe down with the beadx any way. A electric one would be better but then you have to plug it in.
You seem to know more about washing cars and such than most people you see on youtube. I personally dont like using a towel or brush when washing. Currently Im using a Meguiars MF mitt and a 'detailers brand' natural sheep skin mitt. For driving I like the Vroom MF towels(from target) followed by a Meguiars water magnet or a calfornia drying towel. Always wanted to try out the leaf blower. :)
Yes, sometimes can be very thin, old and abrasive, but we use those for the rims. A big, thick bath towel is the best in my book and is better than a microfiber.
great video. Thanks for this.

Terry towels tend to scratch, I would never use them on paint.
