@Jefmajor Hey if you buy a random mutaion you get to pick out of 3 different mutaions and get that one. Please thumbs up this so he can bu more mutaions to kill, pew pew pew with and we can laugh more.
Jef will see this comment whether it gets thumbed up or not, so don't ask for thubs up, you're making yourself seem childish and\or stupid. No Offence
Well, everyone already addressed the AV/DV higher is better thing, so I'll just add:
Light Manipulation gives you a radius of light, and you expend 1 square worth of radius to fire your lazor, which later regenerates.
And mental mutations can't be raised via mutation points - they automatically go up in relation to your level and ego bonus. You can only spend mutation points to raise physical mutations and buy random ones.
@erendorable You sir, are lying. I played Mental only, and upgraded everything with Mutation Points. Have no idea where you got that information, but rest assured, it is false.
I noticed you have been having some serious trouble understanding the armor/dodge system in your recent CoQ videos (as I am sure everyone else has as well), so I will explain it for you. Okay, so the armor value (AV), which is the XX number on your interface. It reduces the damage you take. When you look at armor, the blue diamond followed by the first number you see is the AV. The dodge value (DV) is the value which dictates how good you are at dodging. Sprinting lowers your DV by a few points.
You still had 3 heal injectors dude, the only reason you took so much damage was because you spent those turns using the strength, regenera and agility injectors. You could have easily beat him if you used the healing injector only and just fought man to boar.
I had really good luck with Cudgels and Shields. Both of them end up causing a lot of stuns. I got to around 60k turns before I died. How the hell do you deal with confusion?
thank you for making this LP because i have started playing it and i am getting better at it every day, it's such an awesome game that i almost missed
When you use your Toast ability, make sure it's one step/turn ahead of your enemy because the ability itself costs 1 turn and during that turn, they will likely move towards you.
Force Bubble is kinda worthless. Compared to Force Wall - Bubble lasts shorter, has longer cooldown, costs more points, and you can only cover yourself with it. Why would anyone choose it is beyond me. You can do the exact same bubble thing with the wall and it is better in all ways.
DV means Dodge Value, not Defensive Value. AV is your Armor Value.
That bucklers purpose is to be used for blocking, so it blocks. It does not add to your AV, and it removes from your DV because it's bulky to be carrying around. Since you were building toward shields, it was better to use it, especially since you had low DV.
You probably figured it out at some point after this video but i feel i must comment on it... DV is your dodge value and AV is your armor value and the higher both are the better.
@trubl867 Yes both high are good but usually armor doesn't raise them both so you either want to be able to take alot of hits and take less damge or you can dodge them i prefer to find armor with high DV
For a future character may I suggest Multi-arms and the claw hands that let you dig through walls.. multi-arms will give you an extra set of hands so the clawing negative is done away with and when you're underground if you dig through the zone walls you'll eventually open a new cave system since it generates a cave as long as you're underground.. so.. Digging claws = infinite caves
This is probably my favorite series you've done Jef. I've seen quite a few of your videos over time. This, Mass Effect and Dwarf Fortress are my favorites. You got me started playing those games. I appreciate you uploading all your videos and I just wanted to say rock on.

One dram of water is almost nothing. (modern day measurement = 1/8th a fluid ounce)
Makes sense considering the setting. Also, this let's play = epic.

@erendorable Retsupurae made a video named Amnesia: A Dork's Descent. Which showcased a terrible montage/lets play of Amnesia.

Pistols go well with Force Wall or Force Bubble. Run in, use Bubble, and you have 12turn to shoot stuff (25 if using a wall).

Buckler DOES add to your AV, but only if you pass the blocking check.

a few mutation combos to try
Carapace + metal nukes. button up and nuke away!
multiple legs+ multiple arms - fast and more arms then you can shake an extra arm
For fgo based nukes try the flaming/freezing hands mutation, fire + river = bad if you are in the river though!
The force wall and bubble skills are odd fun as well.
