I do render at higher then I need, because I use that trick with wax all the time. But what I meant was how do you set up the picture so you get shadows which are flat as if it was real life?

Hi, I'll render the Daleks in anim8or as usual, and either set a photo as the background or colour key them together in a video programme. I use a square below the dalek with a radial transparency to make it look like they cast a shadow on the ground. if i render the shot at high enough reslution, I can then key-frame lots of quick pans in a video editor like wax to give a hand-held effect. hope that explains. Sorry, I finally get who the whole thing works, I forgot about the little section of radial transparency below the dalek!

With the shadows,
How would you do the shadows with a chroma-key background,
because that would dissapear with the rest of the background or gust be a dark green blotch (or whatever color you use).
Becuse I am trying to make a film with CGI parks made on Anim8or mixed with real life FILMS.
