  • You are amazing. Thanks for speaking out. Take that awesome energy and your articulate way you explain your points and put it to further use. You could make a huge difference in a lot of lives.

  • OH, and for the love of god... Can someone show me ONE instance where A "REAL" housewife has been bashed or bullied at Jimmy Choo, Nieman Marcus, Saks. Bloomies, Gucci, Prada or Cavalli? We must STOP making the "A" list equivalent to the Real Housewife franchise. There is a different dynamic involved.

  • I agree with you completely. That's why I boycott any gay media that promote this "homo-normative" stereotype. Don't give them your dollar, don't give them the attention that could be spent on more worthwhile things.

  • Its a TV show and the men on the show are role-models...look beyond the show and u will see that

  • Love it!

  • I could not agree more. I couldn't want more than two episodes of the so-called A-List. I wish we could get a reality show about youths who run away from their homes and seek shelter because they are gay. A spinoff of Kathy Griffin's episode from one or two seasons ago? This reminds me of Queer as Folk too. I find it sad that when an opportunity presents itself to create a show about homosexuals, on cable especially where guidelines are looser, that the opportunity is squandered.

  • You fucking rock, my friend.

  • Has Logo seen this!? They desperately need too!

  • You are so right. When I was a closeted gay teen I really thought I had to be like what I saw put out there as gay. That was in the 70s. Now, some of this stuff hasn't changed as much as it should.

  • OMG I love you! You're fucking bang on!

  • Excellent video. Thank you so much for speaking out on this. The A-list are only trying to hype their show by making their video. You show true courage by exposing these hypocrites.

  • I think this would have been a lot better had you actually been the positive role model you are upset that they are not. You could have taken this as an opportunity to say something supportive instead of throwing shade. If you really believe that shallow adult gay men being bitchy to other adult gay men who choose to listen to them is as bad as bullying kids to the point of suicide you could point out that once they're adults, they can choose who to be around and choose who to listen to.

  • It only gets better because your no longer a slave in high school. Your right the fake people don' need to be on tv and people need to stop watching the crap. Go watch the shaytards they are some real people.

  • It's a good argument , you got me thining... in the end I think that if the kids that via this campaign message end up watching the show should be OK because they will also be exposed to all of Logo TV with many different shows, also gay-positive ads

  • I don't watch the A-List. I can tell it's bad just from the ads. If I wanted to see this shit, I'd watch Real Housewives. Shallow. pretentious. catty. queens. no thank you. They don't represent the majority of our gay male population.

  • My goodness, you HIT the nail RIGHT ON THE HEAD.......Thank You! !

  • I'm not comfortable with you saying "These people should not be on TV." It's an argument that representations of gay men should be confined to positive, happy, well-adjusted images. I've done a lot of work in health promotion with gay men and I keep meeting young gay men who have brought these enormously high expectations of what community is going to be like, and when these are not met, flip 180 degrees and turn into haters. We need to show the good AND the bad of being gay.

  • ok, let me see if I understand correctly: you are negatively judging the "cast" of the A-List because they negatively judge others. hmmm, that doesn't seem very productive. so why did I spend almost 5 min watching this video? because you're darn sexy ;-)

  • :) Preach it!!

  • Fucking right on, dude!

  • Thank you for saying the EXACT same things I think...

  • VERY well said!

  • GREAT JOB!!

  • Well said!

  • You hit this nail ON THE HEAD. They are completely engrossed in their own promotion, they don't give 2 shits about their community. It's all botox, muscles, tanning, and sex, and frankly I'm SICK of it. Stop having these shameless queens represent me!

  • I agree 100%.

  • You said it all SOOOO WELL!!! Thank you Mickey. This is fantastic.

  • Fantastic video! You should link this to the A-List's video so people will see your excellent reply.

  • Well said yung man. You could teach these guys, who are obviously much older than you, a lesson in life. You are a wise beyond your years. The gay community has a bright future with someone like you.. Rock on..

  • Thanks for all of your support and kind words! Please follow me on my new YouTube channel "DayByDey" where future videos will be posted and on Twitter @sennydey

  • Well said!!!

  • Bravo. Couldn't of said it any better myself.

  • Amen. These bitches on the A-List are HORRIBLE human beings. Has anyone noticed that LOGO refers to this show as a "documentary"?? My best friend is gay and thinks this show has put gays back 30 years.

THANK YOU for taking the time to say this...it's about time.

  • yay! You're awesome!!

  • You raised a lot of good points but I think you're looking for depth in something really shallow. Yes, they are shitty role models, but so is practically everyone whose ever appeared on reality TV. I think they looked pretty sincere in the "It Gets Better" video. It was scripted, but so is every awareness commercial. Every "celebrity" gets accused of doing charitable work for self-promotion, so that's neither here nor there. They brought attention to the situation and that's all that matters.

  • Well said!

  • Believe it or not I've never seen this A-List show and I'm pretty sure I'm the better for it.

  • This is so spot on. The "A-List" cast members are pathetic.

  • This is awesome! It's folks like Dan Choi and Joel Burns that are the REAL A-List!

  • A-List is not "reality" but is in fact scripted. The characters are all catty queens who aren't the least bit entertaining. I don't think they're role models. They're just really, really bad actors who sometimes can't even read the cue cards three feet away from them.

  • truth.

  • A-List is far to ONE sided. I guess it can cause stress for many of us gays? Can I afford plastic surgery? Thanks for the video.
