  • Rap is just people singing poems about skanks, drugs and guns!

  • Speaking of musical complexity... how bout them Mumford & Sons? eh? eh? eh?

  • A lot of these beats are still computer generated, and most are sound bites from other genres.

  • Holy shit! You used Immortal Technique in this video??? Now that takes some fucking talent! Thank you...

  • fuck genres. i rate music by style, feel, and attitude, not by how much talent it takes or what other people think of it.

  • Comment removed

  • i bet everyone just clicked on the video, paused it,and made a stupid comment so they can wait for someone to respond.lol stop trollin people and watch the video so you can take info in and THEN post a comment

  • Rap is talentless.

  • music is like candy you throw away the rapper

ps. it takes years to just be ok at guitar

  • @GreatAlbanianEagle music is like a collapsed building, the metal SUCKS.

PS it takes even longer to be ok at freestyling

  • @watch4theDROP rap

    R.retards

    A.attempting

    P.poetry

ps.metal is much better than rap

  • @GreatAlbanianEagle Metal

    M.moronic

    E.egotistical

    T.talentless

    A.and

    L.lame

ps. metal is only slightly better than horseshit. nothing else

  • @watch4theDROP LOL I started that whole metal acronym thing and look how successful it's gotten over the years.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL lol really? i thought antimetalclub started it. good job either way. ammunition against these headbanging homos

  • @watch4theDROP why you hate metal?

    lets just agree to disagree

  • @GreatAlbanianEagle i don't hate metal. these are just generic responses to metal shitheads that troll on every video that is not related to metal. as far as the music, i have no problem with it. just the annoying fan-girls that bitch all day about their irrelevant genre

  • @watch4theDROP Why can't we admit that both genres take talent. Just different types. As someone that has played guitar and bass for most of my life, I'd say metal takes more talent, but I haven't tried producing beats so I can't really say.

  • @GreatAlbanianEagle Rap as poetry (rhyming words) can be interesting. Rap as music, not as interesting. I grew up listening to rap, and I can appreciate the poetry, but it gets really hard for me to take it seriously when there's so much crap in the music industry. This also goes to Mainstream Pop, Metal, and modern rock, it's all engineered by an industry to sell copies. The only music I listen to is classic/indie rock now. Rap and metal I find very whinny, and annoying.

  • @watch4theDROP Freestyling is respectable talent unless you cheat. (You'd be surprised by how many cheat, i mean their no-good thieving niggas they can't even fight fair) and metal will always be better than rap, but it will also always be less popular. This is fine with me because I don't want fagboy's like you hopping on the metal and gaying it down by making it mainstream.

  • @TheRealmillim I forgot to include that I like the way you defend rap from a more fundamental standpoint, but metal is so technical and complicated. Rap is just half-assed poetry with a bunch of made-up words for the sake of a rhyme. I can make a bunch of stupid one-line metaphors that ryhme in my sleep... I'm sorry to sound trollish but if you can form a sentence you can rap.

  • The lyrical complexity that rap CAN (<-- keyword) posess. Rap has so much potential and is really cool when it is pulled off well, but a lot of the time it is just about 3 things..: money, chicks, and guns. I am not saying there aren't rappers out there that don't sing about those things, but the majority that I've heard do sing about those.. all the f**king time.

  • While I personally do not enjoy rap music, I do agree with your points. As far as computer generated beats, I'm an Electronica producer and ALL of my sounds/beats come from a computer program. Does that mean I have no talent? not at all. It takes alot of time and effort to make your own sounds, write a decent beat, and then editing is its own huge deal. I may use a real drum kit (sometimes i do) but computer generated beats can be so much more dynamic and complex then even the best of drummers.

  • how familiar are you with the genre fusion ? Miles davis Bitches Brew ? it makes today hip hop sound gay. you should check it out if you unfamiliar. spanish key is the sound of street niggers ( no offence) once again IF YOU REALLY CARE MORE ABOUT MUSIC THAN ATTITUDE...

  • your attitude, coming from somebody who is composing and arranging original music is retarded. it sounds like you only listen to hip hop. i guess that makes you some expert but as a rock guy who plays an instrument and also composes myself, i bet i could name more hip hop artist and albums than you could rock and metal combined. point being as a composer / creator of original music and if you care more about your future rather than retarded hip hop attitude then you would absorb everything.

  • 1:00 Yes metal is guitar driven, its a staple element of the genre but all instruments are clearly defined. Beats are far more complex and technically demanding.

1:35 a ten year old can use audio editing software. It's takes a lot more effort to pick up a real instrument and play.

3:52 Funny you should say that because majority of rock vocalists do play the bass, drums or guitar.

8:40 any actual drummer could easilly outmatch that.

9:49 They're all rapping. It doesn't sound any different.

  • I agree with you but metal takes talent too.

  • LOL....

  • "ima iknore da fak dat dis guy..." and "mew-si-koe tal-ant"..LOL. Wow....just....wow.

  • RAP IS GAY AND NEED ABSOLUTELY NO TALENT. NUFF SAID

  • @ChefGoodness Go listen to the Black Veil Brides you faggot.

  • @ChefGoodness you are a closed minded fuck

  • @ChefGoodness If you are gay that don't means that rap is gay retard, most rappers say that gay isn't ok GAY IS SHIT IT'S A FUCKING DISEASE

  • @M11ty And I think you might be forgetting the whole NSBM scene (granted, I like some bands that claim to be NS, but I laugh at fools like Rob Darken).

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Yeah, bands like Avenged Sevenfold is just talentless screaming, that's why they had to change singers. To do it right and not fuck up your voice requires you to use your diaphram and a part of your throat called your 'false vocal chords'. It's more or less the same as clean vocals, just a different part of the throat.

  • @M11ty What? I listen to a lot of black metal, and the whole Satanism thing is pretty common (doesn't bother me, though. I'm an atheist). Granted, black metal doesn't always have those lyrical themes. My point being, there are a lot more bands with lyrics like that than you admit.

  • @M11ty Look up "Fett's Vet" by MC Chris, none of the lyrical content you described in sight.

  • @M11ty What about rappers like MC Chris, he doesn't have the lyrical content you described (he's fucking hilarious, btw).

  • @M11ty Dude, even I know that is a bullshit argument. That's more or less what Tipper Gore and the PMRC accused metal of. Get real, dude.

  • @cheapcape I take issue with your comments regarding black metal, good sir.

  • @M11ty I don't think that's true. I mean, I have a dark ambient/electronic side project (I also have a raw black metal band and a weird death/doom, DSBM and alt. rock fusion project), and it takes some work to make stuff sound the way I want it.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL I think you're feeding the troll, broski...

  • SRS ON INTRNETZ! OMFG 1111

  • THIS AR SRS ARGUMENT GUIZ!!11

  • @BWYGR111 Well, i hate rock & metal is an opinion, and he is entitled to it (though, I'm always suprised to find people can dislike a whole genre, especially rock & metal, as it's such a diverse genre. I tend to like ambient black metal, shoegaze, post-rock, death/doom, funeral doom as well as more avant-garde/experimental/prog stuff).

  • @misanthropyeternal I don't mind his opinion either but to be all hostile and arrogant to anyone who gives there own opinion is retarded and just obnoxious. He might be a troll though and I hope he is because if hes not I feel very sorry for him. Hurrp.

  • @BWYGR111 Ok I don't see how my first reply to you came off in anyway as "hostile and arrogant". You basically said "everyone can rym even Dr. Suess", that's not an opinion, that's "retarded and just obnoxious" rambling. All I did was ask you a question then you started pmsing and told me to "bitch at someone who cares". LOL now who's hostile and arrogant?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL You take everything too seriously. I was joking but it came off to you as an insult. Who's retarded now?

  • @BWYGR111 Who's retarded now? Perhaps it's....still YOU? LOL you can call it a joke or whatever all you want, it's still "retarded and obnoxious rambling" to anybody that's going to read your post. Oh and if that is your idea of a joke, perhaps you should look into another profession cause you suck at telling jokes ;).

  • @watch4theDROP Anyways, I suspect most of the 'metalheads' coming to bitch at you have a very introductory knoweledge of metal and music in general (judging by these comments).

  • @watch4theDROP Every white kid claims to be able to play hockey? Didn't know that, haha!

  • @misanthropyeternal *offended

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Oh no, I wasn't offened at all. I just like to pull that out when people call metal noise and say " No, THIS is noise" (which is an actual genre of experimental music)! Anyways, noise usually implies no structure and even the most chaotic, dissonant, abrasive sub-genres have a structure.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL A bunch of babies banging on pots and pans and crying? Lol, that's called metalcore.

  • every black kid and wigger claim they can rap, simply because its just making up words and you dont even need to put the computerized beats behind it. anyone can do it, but only a few with musical skill can write metal

  • @M11ty every black kid also claims they can play basketball and every white kid claims they can play hockey. THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHIT because only .001% of them makes it to the major leagues. just like the black kids and wiggers who claim they can rap. It's not hard to "claim" you can do something. so your argument fails on 37 different levels. good job!

  • @watch4theDROP not really me and you both know how every single black kid thinks he can rap, all rap is, is talking about either drugs gangsters bitches/hoes and how cool it is to go to jail. it takes no skill cuz if u cant sing u just use autotune and it takes no musical ability at all, you just need a computer. i could write up a rap song in less than a minute and it would meet all requirments to be conspidered a rap song.

  • @M11ty i see basic logic escapes you which is ok because it escapes most people who have had their minds polluted with metal "music", first of all, if you are gonna come at my intelligence, you should work a little on your grammar skills. for example, it's not "me and you both" it's "you and i both" secondly, my point was that "thinking" you can do something is free. many people THINK they can do something and fail doing it. if rap was so easy and everyone could do it, there would be 50 million

  • @watch4theDROP people in the rap industry right now making 6 figure salaries. obviously, like in every from of entertainment (basketball, hockey, baseball, acting, and yes, EVEN METAL) there are gonna be people who THINK they can do it and fail so your argument is pretty stupid. and finally, i'm gonna tell you like all the other metal shitheads that claim they can do a rap song in a minute. PROVE IT with a video of the thought process and the creation. this video is 4 years old, STILL no

  • @watch4theDROP metalheads have posted a video to back up their claims. I AM WAITING TILL THIS DAY, 4 YEARS LATER FOR ONE METALHEAD TO POST A VIDEO OF THEM MAKING A DECENT HIP HOP SONG IN LESS THAN A MINUTE. GOOD LUCK!

  • @watch4theDROP okay shoot my grammer....this is the internet buddy not english class. if anything rap pollutes the minds of ppl, cuz all it talks about how killing, doing drugs, and violanc is "cool". how else do u explain the fact that ever since modern rap came out, violance and other criminal actions have been as a steep rise. and anyone can rap, there are rap bands who spit out a song every other day while most metal bands have to spend months or even a year on one song

  • @M11ty OK I didn't wanna get involved but you are just talking stupid now. If all this rap is about violence, killing, and drugs as a reference to the CURRENT MAINSTREAM stuff then yes I fully agree, but to say all rap is like that would be equivalent to me saying all metal is devil worshipping, racism, and burning churches. Furthermore you keep saying anyone can rap, ok, but watch laid out a challenge for you to prove it and yet all you keep doing is singing the same ol song of

  • "DUHYEE ANY1 CAN RAP", and again if we follow your logic we can say anyone can play metal "music" through rock band or guitar hero. It's one thing to say or claim you can perform a certain talent, but to actually prove it is a different story, and until you can prove it, your comments are a complete failure.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL i have yet to hear one rap song that does talk about one or more of the following subjects: bitches/hoes, drugs/dealing, jail, gangs, or violance. i could make a rap song if i had the right equipment, i do not have a microphone, but there are plenty of other videos of people making 5 min raps. just look at the freestyle vids. any music u can freestyle obviously has no skill involved

  • @M11ty I can name you 6 for now: Keep ya head up by 2pac, I have a dream by Common, Where is the love by Black Eyed Peas, Runaway love by Ludacris, What they do by The Roots, and Git up git out by Outkast, all of these songs btw are influential and positive, more than I can say for MOST metal "music". Also, depending on what videos you're talking about, most of them are either b.s. raps or they memorized a line from a song, and again if you judge it by that, I can say metal requires zero...

  • talent cause I saw some videos of kids playing Metallica on rock band or a bunch of kids headbanging while strumming some random sounds from the guitar. And again, freestyle takes no skill or anyone can rap as you keep claiming, and yet NO proof to back up your CLAIMS. If you don't have a microphone, type some lyrics up in the comment section, another way to prove your so called "I can make a rap in 5 mins or less" theory.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL i cant condem or agree with those since ive never heard them before, but from listening to rap i hear everyday, i can tell its not positive. listen to any metal song, it talks about geting over hard times in life or tough situations. and no there a are plenty of rap freestyle contests because simply rap is so simple u can make it up on the spot.

  • @M11ty LOL how are you going to conclude those songs I've named aren't positive if you haven't even listened to it? That's like me saying all metal is once again devil worshipping, racist, and burning churches, so should I believe this and conclude what I've said about metal to be true? Also, freestyle battles are not simple, and if they are, then ONCE AGAIN, you try and compete in one of those and attempt to show us all just how simple it is. I'll guarantee you you'll get laughed at, no lie.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL i listen to dozens of rap songs everyday from my car radio to my friends always layong it and i can confidently say 99% of them have negative mesages. there are about 7 mteal bands who sing about the things your talking about and there not popular at all, while the rap groups who produce negative songs like EMC are very popular.

  • @M11ty KEYWORD: RADIO, that's like saying I listen to mallcore or metalcore whatever the fuck you call it on the RADIO and can confidently say 99% of metal is just screaming and talentless noise. Basically you group an entire genre off of one demographic, FAIL. Now I'm not suggesting that you start listening to rap mainly the GOOD kind, but the more you keep making little assumptions about something you know nothing about, the more you accomplish absolutely NOTHING.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL radio was only one of many sources i use. my brother blasts rap through his 100 dp amps in the room across from mine, ive memorized the lines to almost every lil wayne, 50 cent ect. songs. your thinking of scremo, thats different than metal. screaming is a way to sing emotions with voice texture and rap is just talking, screaming note takes more skill than talking. all songs baised with a guitar are created through music scales so it isnt just noise

  • @M11ty Every music style takes talent or else everyone would do it, screamo takes the same amount of skill as rapping.

  • @SuperBspb everyone who likes rap claim they can rap themselves so what does that show? and no scremo takes the most skill out of any music genre because setting aside the skill of the guitar, drums, and base which takes immence talent in itself, the vocals which just isnt screaming, screaming is what girls do, scremo is diapram vocalizing which takes years of practice to be able to accomplish

  • @M11ty Your saying screamo vocalists have more talent than singers like Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, and Brian Johnson had?. I'm no fan of rap, but screamo is not inherently the most skillful genre, what about jazz or classical which is extremely complex and intricate.

  • @M11ty So you don't think that people who raps or "talk" doesn't bring emotions as well? I dare you to listen to any songs by 2pac and tell me there are no emotions in his raps, but of course you won't and will just conclude once again that "all rap is talking blah blah blah". And again if we follow your logic I can say that screaming is just screaming, similar to when a little kid cries or when you're taking a shit, should I conclude that screaming in metal takes no talent cause it's easy?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL im not saying rap doesnt have any emotion, even though alot of it doesnt, its just metal brings the emotions in a better way cuz of the great music rythem and talent

  • @M11ty The reason why you think alot of rap doesn't have emotions is because once again you're concentrating too much on CURRENT MAINSTREAM RAP, and if we compare that to GAY L.A. METAL to represent all of metal we can also say metal brings no emotions other than bragging rights and arrogance. Look past the MAINSTREAM and you'll find plenty of rappers/emcees who brings pure emotions into their music, whether it's sad, angry, violent, or just having fun.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL dude i dont listen to mainstream, i hear rap all the time on a popluar radio station along with my brother blasting it next door, ive heard every rap song made at least once and i still stand by my opinion

  • look up any immortal technique song on youtube that will disprove your entire argument. i could name 20 right now. caught in a hustle, the 4th branch, the point of no return, industrial revolution, cause of death, internally bleeding etc.

  • @M11ty I don't care if this is the internet or a press conference, the point is, if you are gonna insult another man's intelligence, you better not be a complete idiot yourself. Also, you are another dumb shit metalhead that spews out baseless rumors. where is your proof that "since modern rap came out, violence and criminal activity have been on a rise". Modern rap i assume you mean the stuff after 2000 when pop rap took over, if you bother to look up statistics instead of blindly lying

  • you will see that violent crimes have actually been decreasing. For example, in New York(the birthplace of hip hop), the crime rate is actually DOWN from a peak of 200,000 a year to just 75,000 now. So please tell me where this "rise in violence" is because it surely isn't in the US. In fact, the highest amount of violent crimes actually took place in the 60's/70's when metal was the most popular. how would you explain that one?

  • @watch4theDROP I have made a rap/hip hop song on a school project and it`s not that hard, only takes a few minutes. I play guitar and i lissen to tock and metal and how can you say that it`s only playing a few notes on the guitar? It very hard to play metal and it`s hard to play solos. It takes years of pratice and I dont say that you should listen to rock/metal than rap but metal takes more talent than rap!

  • Anyone can rym even dr. Suess.

It takes real talent to pick up and play a really complex speed riff.

  • @BWYGR111 REALLY NOW, comparing rapping to Dr. Suess is like comparing metal to a bunch of babies banging on pots and pans and crying, would that apply as well?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL You mad cause your genre of choice is inferior? Bitch at someone who cares.

  • @BWYGR111 LOL mad? No, more like amused at fools like you who make stupid claims and stupid comments. The only people I see mad around here are parasites like you from the metal community who can't accept that not everyone on planet Earth will worship metal "music" so they go around videos of different genres that they supposedly hate in a pathetic attempt to promote their little "music".

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Now you just trolling. I thought for sure you really hated this music. Rofl

  • @BWYGR111 I do hate metal or to put it in a less harsher way, DISLIKE, doesn't mean I'll go on a hating spree around different metal videos saying "metal sucks, metal is just talentless noise, etc etc", now that's called trolling. Posting on here to idiots like you, that's called OWNING ;-).

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL No, thats more like you trying to prove yourself to random faggots and looking as far from secure in your own musical interests as possible, bro.

  • @BWYGR111 LOL I'm sorry but did you just refer to yourself as a random faggot? Anyways, it has nothing to do with proving something or "looking as far from secure" in my own musical interests, cause for one I'm proud of what I like and I don't care if people have a problem with that. The only problem here is people like you who tries to convince others your "music" is superior to all and that no other genres of music take talent, that's why I'm here responding to you.

  • @BWYGR111 That's right you don't need to explain yourself cause obviously the random faggot is you, case closed LOL.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL " cause for one I'm proud of what I like and I don't care if people have a problem with that" <----- What a nerd. Rofl

  • Comment removed

  • @BWYGR111 <----- What a fag. Rofl

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Running out of funny lame ass nerdy quotes and walls of text? Your getting so boring now dude? Wanna prove yourself some more, I'm a really great listener y'know?

  • @BWYGR111 Oh yea, cause calling someone a "nerd" is the most successful type of insult ever? LOL perhaps you didn't notice (or just too stupid) to realize that you just labeled your own messages or "quotes and walls of text" as nerdy considering my previous message was a page ripped out of your daily "HI I DINK ME SO FUNNY SO I HOOMYLIATE MYSELF ON YUOTOOB" comments. You are seriously a clown.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Another wall. TL;DR, U insecure bro?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL I'm so sorry but this is retarded. Try somethinging else if really fear for your genre, bud. later.

  • @BWYGR111 Yes apparently this whole thing turned retarded when you decided to post, so congrats BUD. Fear for my own genre, LOL, again, am I the one going around metal videos promoting my music?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Well anyway I wanted to get that last bit in there for the hell of it. Someone has to end gayness at some point. Goodbye, BUD. And no you are going around promoting RAP, Not metal. Jezz, you fucking stupid?

  • @BWYGR111 LOL what part of "am I going around metal videos promoting MY music", in other words that would imply trolling on a metal video trying to advertise what I like opposed to the other genres, did not make sense? Yes it obvious I like rap (surprised), promoting it, NO. Not promoting metal (OMG really). "Jezz" and you have the audacity to call others stupid.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Type another wall of useless text btw. So I'll know how much you care.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Oh, am I comming off that way? It doesn't matter if I care or you care you're making an ass of yourself by talking so much about honor so its all good.

  • @BWYGR111 LOL I'm making an ass out of myself? Oh the irony, every single comment I see you post on here are nothing but pointless babbling that has nothing to do with the original argument between metal and rap, so if per say "I'm making an ass out of myself by talking so much about honor" or whatever, well you basically made an ass out of yourself for, well, being an ass in general.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL More wall of text and usless BABBLE about the obvious? Boy, you sure are insecure. Tell more more about my horrible genre. Make more an ass of yourself to a random faggot.

  • @BWYGR111 Really, now I'm all of a sudden talking about your horrible genre? Gee either you can't read, or, let's face it, you can't read. That's ok BRO, there's a thing called Hooked On Phonics, try it now before you hit puberty.

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL That was sarcasm. My point being, I always chuckle inwardly when people equate metal to noise. Just shows their general ignorance towards music in general. You included.

  • @misanthropyeternal Sarcasm? No way?!?!?! ;) Anyways I understand where you're coming from and I apologize if I called metal noise. I only say that to piss the ignorant metal fans off, so just for future reference if I say anything negative about metal I don't mean any of it, but I'm still not a fan of metal. I do respect certain bands but in general metal is not my kind of music, hope this clarifies everything.

  • @misanthropyeternal Its funny how he says that he hasn't said anything negitive about it when his username is IHATEROCKNMETAL. He's like really fucking stupid. Lol

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Actually, I doubt a homeless guy could write any of the lyrics Bethlehem, Xasthur, new Nachtmystium or Emperor write. And that screaming stuff isn't really how you think of it, it's not just screaming your head off. Anyways, guys like Niklas Kvarforth and Jason Mendonca can do those screams and beatiful clean vocals, so you fail on that part as well.

  • @watch4theDROP "Fading genre"? And what is that supposed to mean, exactly?

  • @watch4theDROP You know you're better? Enjoy your unearned sense of superiority.

  • @silverespioshadow So, from that comment, I gleaned "U JUST JEALOUS CUZ WE MORE POPPULARRR". Good for you. Fuck you all, that's my attitude.

  • @MrSouth18881 Not true, looking for a good guitar tone can take some time. Same with bass, drums ( Finding good drum sounds can take upwards to a week) and vocals. Believe me, if you just plugged a guitar into an amp and didn't fuck around with pedals, distortion, reverb, delay et cetera, it would sound like shit. Also, why all the use of the word gay?

  • @IHATEROCKNMETAL Metal is "noise"? You must not realize that "noise" is an experimental form of music, i.e. Little Women. Aren't you cute?

  • @misanthropyeternal Yes of course women think I'm cute ;).

  • /watch?v=ys_qe7uffE4

Exactly why haters can't stand rap. Because it requires pure skill.

Link a song not within the rap genre that has more meaningful complex lyrics

  • Saying rap takes no talent is basically saying poetry takes no talent.

Anything that can be made out of competition requires talent.

People are just angry they can't use their talent to make money like rap artists.

  • let me tell you why it takes no talent. rappers PAY someone to make the beats, then they PAY a writer to make the lyrics, then they PAY studio time with extra voice altering shit, ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS MEMORIZE THE LYRICS THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN WRITE!

  • @a1sauses 1 that is false. 2 there are plenty of rappers that write their own lyrics just like a poet would. 3 your logic is fail.

  • @a1sauses You basically described CURRENT MAINSTREAM rap which I agree and that's why I don't like that kind of rap, however, don't think all rap is like that cause Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Lil Jon create their own beats, 2pac, Biggie, Eminem are some rappers that have shown they write their own material or don't even have to write it, they just come up with lyrics off the top of their heads, and the "voice altering shit" or auto tone only takes place in CURRENT MAINSTREAM rap.

  • Are u really saying using a computer program takes as much talent and practice as the guitar or drums.....man ur straight up an ignorant idiot. About 95% of rap made since 99 is absolute shit man. Its so fucking influential nowadays, WTF ARE these little white kids running around saying taylor gang. MOST RAPPERS DONT EVEN WRITE THIER MUSIC.

  • Musicianship isn't about "talent." It's about musicianship.

  • Anyone can make a "b0mb ass rap song, nigga", even I can.

I was a huge fan of rap at 14 before getting into metal, then never looked back. Fuck you niggers polluting the ears of the innocent, disgusting.

  • @TehKrakerzGuy Just because you're no longer interested in rap doesn't mean you got to act like a clown and say "Fuck you n****** polluting the ears of the innocent" cause guess what? Not everyone on planet earth wants to listen to metal "music", so get over yourself.

  • @TehKrakerzGuy try to make a nice beat and to have a good flow when you`re rapping and then to talk you fuckin racist asshole.

  • more talent? more fun to make? love your OPINIONS....because those ain't facts....believe that shit is easy as fuck, in the sense that you can learn the program in a day (or less) ....whereas learning to play a guitar, bass, drums (or any other real instrument) WELL takes a shit load of time.....you cant except to pick up a guitar and that day start a band...it takes years.....

btw....autotune. yeah, rappers use it all the time....no talent bitch

  • Back in the day, i used an ensonic keyboard with floppy disks to load and sequence my beats. drums, sing, bass, writer, trumpet.LOL guiter. I do it. I learned it. I sat in my room for years and practiced. still have blisters on the tips of my fingers. ROCK ON. AND IF U RAP> THEN ALSO RAP ON. MUSIC. Either u got it, or u just plain DON'T. And no failing here.

  • It's your boy... ( stupid from the start) Rap is ONE beat over and over and over while someone talks fast. Usually while waving his hands around like they are swatting flies or something. It takes other musics rhythms and turns them into a stupid , repetitive one lick shit fest. Rap should die!

  • It´s kinda funny that the best rapper is white(EMINEM) and the best rock guitar player ever was black(Jimi Hendrix)!!

  • of course rap takes talent, so does metal, techno, rock, blues, country, and i love them all. its all music and we should be thankful that we have it instead of bitching about this like five year olds...\m/

  • there is several "lead vocalist's that play instruments, IE: Jonathan Davis plays bagpipes and drums on some tracks, Joey Jordison plays drums and guitar, there is also several other musicians that play more than one instrument in a band if not all of them, such as Kid Rock

  • look up Synergy - Passage to the reaper there is a true example of talent and skill

  • Im trying to find a video of a beats being made from scratch. I can find videos all day on the break down of metal on each instrument but nothing on hip hop. Just videos like this blending already made music together.

  • Why would you fight over this? Every music genre takes talent at their own levels. For example: In metal, you can play around with scales, time signatures(polyrythms), different tunings(guitars, bass, keys) etc. In rap/hiphop you can create nice beats, effects, play around with vocals etc. What I am trying to say is. Stop fighting/discussing wich music genre takes more talent. You can't compare apples with pears. Have a nice day y'all! BTW: I listen a lot rock and metal.

  • @The09Gentleman Im sorry but looking at these ppl that is obviously what they listen to if not more ghetto people.. and i understand the beastie boys are pretty cool i havent listened to any of those other groups i just hate that people think computer takes more skill than actually learning an instrument

  • @Gabriel17NY It's either the entire metalhead community lacks reading skills, or they are just plain retarded. Nobody ever said using a computer was better then using an instrument. We are saying that it's not as easy as just pushing 2 buttons. To get the correct mixture of sounds that doesn't suck takes months. Why do you think producers like timbaland get paid half a million dollars for just one beat. If anybody could do it, we'd all be millionaires.

  • @watch4theDROP so what does it mean when they say rap is better and metal is trash? this is an on going battle i have with everyone lol

  • @Gabriel17NY I've never heard a hip hop fan insult metal openly without being provoked in some way. Maybe when you say stupid shit like what you post in your comments here, it prompts hip hop fans to say metal is trash as a retaliation. Maybe you should try shutting the fuck up for once in your life and just listening to the music.

  • @watch4theDROP ok your comment would make remote sense if this guy made the video because of my comment but you see he didnt....and im sorry if you listen to the beginning of his video he OBVIOUSLY has no history listening to metal cuz he has no clue about metal but he sure does about hip hop which is BIASED... ive spent years listening to rap and hip hop and i switched to metal so im pretty sure theres a reason why i did not just to be a troll years later on these videos.

  • And think about the 80's rap is a long faze we'll get over it and maybe all my niggaz will be metalheads after they go to college and fucking learn

  • @DevilishlyGrim What makes you so certain that "all your niggaz" will forget about rap and become metalheads? The only thing I see is people forgetting about MAINSTREAM rap and moving onto hip hop, underground, old school, and other sub-genres of rap, only for those who aren't teenyboppers and fad followers.

  • But metal came first my nigga

  • i dun feel rap is music, n i dun think they will call themselves musicians. true musicians can instantly know if their vocalist is singing the right note, and being able to recognize n adapt abm7 & abm naturally & LIVE is way beyond my musical intellect. i can only admire. u rapheads know of chords & time signatures right? n lyrics, what can i say.....

1 brillian song "stairway to heaven" a thousand meaning. a rap songs a thousand words, 1 meaning.... music is dead a long time ago and im sad..

  • you fuckin numskulls playing instrument is gay!!We don`t need that gay shit when we have machines that can make better sound. To be a good rapper you need a good flow and the voice is more talent than the gay instruments cuz you can learn to play an instrument but you can`t have a good voice if you haven`t.

  • @MrSouth18881

well if u cant play any instruments bcoz music just dosent flow through your veins, u'll need help from the machines. and if u are really desperate to come out some kind of sound live for the listeners to listen, u beatbox!!!! HAHAHHAHA!!! pityful to watch at how hard they try..

  • Dude, go to u tube. Type in Kyper- tic tac toe. Thats me in the vid on drums. I also play for percy sledge. I live in lafayette,la. I also play bass, trumpet, and i write my own music. and i also sing and IF and IF i wanted to rap, i could. A rapper should call himself just that a rapper. If you can play an instrument, then your a musician. If you only rap, then your a rapper. Take this from a musician who knows it all. Rapping and rap, Easiest form of music. sorry dude..

  • @drummer63363 lol i find it hilarious when metal shitheads think they can rap. Yes, a couple of them can throw a few words together that rhymes. but legitimate flow and wordsmithing? never. so the metalhead argument is "i can rap even though i suck at it and it sounds like shit, i can still do it" well in that case, I can pick up a guitar and smash some random notes like a kid on crack, does that mean i can play metal? sorry but your argument fails in every sense

  • i understand people say that rap has no talent but i believe they think that the actual rapper creates the beat but i dont think they know that there are producers that go into that but rock and metal takes talent as well both use computers to bring everyhting together to refine it

  • @greatpowrer that's why people are idiots. hip hop as a whole is included as the emcee(or "rapper" to the metal shitheads), the DJ (producer), dancers, beat boxers, etc. the rapper doesn't do everything, true. but does that make him untalented? that is like saying the drummer is untalented because he can't play guitar or sing. everyone has their own parts just like in every genre of music.

  • Rap originates from ancient Norway where soldiers that have returned from war or pillages or whatever the fuck vikings do... They came back to tell stories of their great and awesome triumphs through song, and how the told these songs is through rhyme, and rap is basically all about rhyming right? i mean... what would rap be without the rhymes? The reason why they rhymed is because it made their shit easier to remember, so yeah, rhyming takes farrrrr less talent than any other genre.

  • @Haeleon Ancient Norway? What kind of dumbass comment is that? Rap comes from beat-beats and samples of funk and r&b songs and rap originated in New York. Norway, really. Please educate yourself.

  • @G123G012Y yeah okay bud... whatever makes you happy...

  • @Haeleon No seriously, show me your sources that state that hip-hop comes from norway. This has has to be interesting.

  • @Haeleon lmao i'll admit, this is a new one. I mean,, we got metal shitfaces making up new stuff about hip hop every day. Usually the same bullshit though. but yeah, this one is definitely new. i'd like to see those "sources" too.

  • Rapper with talent---is that like shit with corn?

  • You know WHAT? I listen to both Immortal Technique and Metal.

  • The only good "rap" band was Run DMC. That's probably because they didn't just sample everything either.

  • They just talk about random things and i dont like that.

  • what idiots are writing comments here rap is way better than this gay shit metal aka gaytal.Rapping takes more talent than that garbage. The guitara solo is gay and metal is gay!!!Why we need to play the shitty instruments when we have machines that can make better sound.

  • @MrSouth18881 Playing an instrument is an art, putting a bunch of pre-set sounds together takes no talent at all.

  • @VindictivePheasant you have no idea how the rap producers are making the beats so better don`t talk about this.Your stupid comments takes no talent.

  • @MrSouth18881 Stupid, illterate, nigger.

  • @VindictivePheasant I didn't know they let 10 year olds on youtube.

  • @MrSouth18881 I truly, feel sorry for you. You are an ignorant fool. You may have your opinion but really, bringing it out in a way like that. Just makes you look like an idiot. And here is my opinion, the machine sounds sound, well, terrible, I would rather hear an actual drummer or an actualy guitarist play than just machine pumping out the same beat over and over again.

  • Who wants to hear about the truth though? Rap doesn't bring out reality like Metal. Everybody would rather hear a fairy tale than reality. So that's why Metal isn't as popular as Rap or Pop. Tupac, he was a revolutionist. He put emotion in his music. Does Lil Wayne? No because everybody in Cash Money is all about money. That's it. They will do whatever it takes to make money where as in Metal they will do whatever it takes to please the fans. Rap, takes some level of skill but not like Metal.

  • The only good rapper was Tupac. That's it. Nobody else. Not actually using instruments to make your beats(meaning playing them) is like me writing song lyrics, having somebody else sing them for me, and me taking all of the credit. Now I'm not saying that Rap doesn't take talent. It does take some talent but it's much easier to do rap then to do a guitar solo like Dimebag Darrell or drums like Dave Lombardo or vocals like Angela Gossow or a bass solo like Fieldy.
