  • Uh........ What?

  • Good lord, is it ME? Or am I having a hard time understanding her talking? Great idea, but, I'm aching from trying to decipher what she's saying.

  • very poor sound quality

  • It takes 6 times as much air to BURN the Woodgas as to make it, so area of top holes should reflect this ratio. Tom Reed, inventor of Woodgas stoves about 1985.

  • Really Really well done video!

  • former friend?

  • I also like to have a measurement on the corn can please.

  • how big are the holes in the gas wick? 2nd can on the bottom. The only thing that aggravated me was looking up conversion tables LOL.

  • a little tip i found out while experimenting, when you drill the holes into your can, dont drill them all the way through, start drilling until you start to get a hole, then tap the hole out. this way the hole is sort of like a cone shape, this way it directs more air in more effectively

  • How many uses can you get out of this stove?

  • Jesus....this kid is painfull to listen to! ....and nothing on the third tin. Talk about fucking confusing!

  • @caribbeanchild He sounds like he knows what he is doing, but for the life of me, I can understand about a 3rd of what he is saying!!!!

  • i maked one 5 minutes ago.........

    IT worked great!

  • oh i did so great on my first stove

  • what is the purpose of the smallest tin and can you cook stuff in it or boil water?

  • @STREETRAT211 it looks like the 3rd tin is a pot stand. he turned the mushy corn tin up side down and put wires through to give it 4 points to rest on top of the stove and give a small gap. it also functions to direct the flame in a circle pattern which will evenly destribute the heat around the bottom of a pot or pan. he made the statement about it burning more efficiently, because the small can directs the flame close to the air holes , it must mix some more oxygen with the wood gasses

  • Nice one, this is great !

  • Excellent video, thanks!

  • the original costs £60 on the internet yet you can make your own and spend about less that £10.

  • if you use fast light coal (to start a fire easier) then put in the normal coals after it light up, you wont have that smoke coming from the wood, it doesn't smell as much either and wont have that much flame but its still hot just like the BBQ

i have made my first 1 with a fan using a T.E.G. and heat sink copying the original 'biolite camp stove'

then made another 2 using my own designs without the fan. and experimenting I found out that using coal is better than wood.

  • Well done, mate! Good on ya.

  • I do not know how I over looked this video! Awesome idea, I watched this and then sat down to draw down an idea of my own using this as the design base. Hope you do not mind if I tinker with it a bit giving you credit and a thanks for inspiration. It's been a while since I have played around in the shop so lets just see what happens.

  • Hello,

Thank you for posting this video. I watched it and now I have my own stove wich works great! The stove is really fantastic. Thanks again bro.

  • Very clear, thanks!

  • great video

  • muy bueno...felicitaciones!!

  • What janaltus said. Great job!

  • One of the clearest and best instructional videos I've seen on how to build a wood gas stove. And love your Irish accent.

  • Enjoyed the video, but how you utilized the 3d (smallest tin) is not clear. I see it suspended in the stove at the end of the video, but how does it actaully function in cooking?

  • @hiltonre It looks like it reflects the heat and forces the smoke out right next to the jets so that the upper jets burn off any unburnt fuel. I'll have to add that to my design.

  • Are you in your house? Isn't it going to get smokey after there's a fire there? Oops!

  • can u use 2 cans the same size love the vid

  • hey Great video really liked it im going to make it but could you tell me the oz. of the cans that would help a lot

  • What is the weight of this system all assembled?

  • It's probably not a good idea to eat what ever is in the can because of tiny metal shards that may have dropped into the can while you were cutting the lid. Having very sharp metal shavings go through your digestive tract is probably not a very nice feeling!

  • I'm sorry to say I couldn't hear a thing. you're speaking to fast, and to quiet. Hopefully you'll get a little more confidence and be able to speak louder as you do these more often but thanks for the effort.

  • the sound is terrible dude

  • Great vid a little hard to understand you though never the less still good

  • this is a fantastic tutorial even bear grylls would be impressed but an bhfuil tu ina conai i eireann?!

  • It is not clear what you do with the smallest can.

If it goes in the others does it need holes too, and where?

  • Dude. This was awesome! I just bought Bush Buddy stove, and I'm kicking myself for not seeing your video first! Definitely gonna try building one as soon as possible. Keep it up, my man!

  • briliant!

  • cool video kid are you Irish ????

  • thats a great stove there great flame to. you might be able to make a spacer so the inner wall doesn't fall down and block the jets

  • The only bad part is you have to eat mushy peas to make the stove! Yukk!

  • hi unlimitedbushcraft dont listen to people putting you down this vid helped me alot thanks mate

    luke

  • Did that guy just show us how to make a woodgas stove with peacans and a swiss army knive?

Mc Guyver would have been proud of you son.

  • Very easy to follow instructions Thanks.

    5 *****

  • Nice tutorial! I´m also making a woodgas stove.

  • I'm gonna build that stove!

I already built two but this instruction is the best!

  • Thanks!

  • hey dude this is really good thanks! can you tell me the about the 3rd little tin? and the process of fueling and lighting it! thanks again!

  • Thanks and the third tin is called a gas wick it is used to improve efficiency of the stove and can make the flame burn blue,I have a few videos about it on my other channel if you want to check them out!

  • Thank you for this video is excelent.

  • Thanks!
