After I plasma pistol the elite, I use the shotgun instead of the pistol to take him down. I suck at aiming.

The book also tell that there were a more heavy group of covenant forces but even on legendary it needs to be a li'l easy ;)

THey are called the covenant, and are a society consisting of a few alien races (Elites, Grunts, Jakaiis, Hunters...)

It is all described in the Book: The Fall of Reach. But its easy: There was a system, called Octanus, in this system there was a planet, on this planet a special stone. in this stone, some molecules where placed so, that they look like star constellations. This coordinates are where the Halo- construction is placed, etc pp, undertood^^

They were released from their containment cells by the Covenant. At that point, the Autumn had crash-landed on Halo, and then the flood spread all throught Halo, the Pillar of Autumn included.

I just don't get why the flood don't infect the hunters at 3:30.

hunters don't get infected because they're made of worms piled together on their Armour since they're made out of lekgolo worms they lack of a spinal cord which flood need to control a host

for some reason the hunters cannot be infected by the flood. look it up on wikipedia if you want to know the whole thing, but they're basically just muscle tissue with a chip or something to "drive" them.

@Enejaner Hunters arent one thing. THey are a bunch of worms bound together to make one thing, the flood can only take one hhost at a time, and even at that, it has to be about the size of an elite, and be muscualr enough. Witch is why they dont get grunts.

Strike team was to neutralize the flood contaminent. This meant terminating any would be hosts. It was a last ditch effort at salvaging the ship and such before having to glass the surface.

It was in the book. A covenant battle group was stationed here to try to recover some items off the ship. But then the flood came.

One of my top three favorite levels in Halo Combat Evolved. Nice strategies, I too use them and I like to "speed run" the maw, though great fun, after those sentinels arrive at the end of this video I ignored them to conserve ammo as it's easy to run without getting damage.
