This is the best mouse on the market right now. I had some problems with the R.A.T 9's battery totally crappying out on me so I returned it and got a new one and it works amazingly well. Best mouse I ever used. And I've been using Logitech mice since I was 9 years old (with their first wireless mouse which was infrared, back in the early 90's). Logitech is awesome, but these guys just won, for now.

I even prefer it above the 7, because the thumb rest isn't adjustable so there's no problem which moving parts. I only miss the pinky rest on the RAT 5, but it's ok.

just got the RAT5 for christmas n love it, its very ergonomic, nice build quality and looks amazing sitting on ur desk. Ended up getting the 5 cuz i dont feel the need for any more dpi than this, 4000 is pretty damn fast. No regrets getting this instead of a razor

I just got the mouse recently. I gotta admit, it's pretty freakin awsome. So worth the money. I love Mad Catz. I remember one time when I found an Awsome controller of theirs. It was a PS3 controller, but the buttons and joysticks were exactly like the Xbox 360 controllers. Yay. It was pretty much a controller that looked like a Xbox 360 controller but it was for the PS3. The controllers for Xbox 360 are much more comfortable. Good Job Mad Catz!!

looks awesome, best design ive ever seen. but 5 buttons isnt very much when playing mmorpg's and such. Example for aion, you can program ALT/CTRL/SHIFT+5 buttons on the mouse, Thats only 15 buttons :/ I stick with the naga from razer.

@dirtyroot Razer uses the same sensor as well as steel series, it only causes problems for people who constantly lift up the mouse. Personally, I never lift up my mouse so it's no issues at all here.

@whiteyonwelfare Thats right, idk why people are saying "GO BUY A RAZER MOUSE" when most new razer mice actualy use the same sensor this mouse uses, the philip twip eye laser sensor, which does have z-axis and jittering issues. Its not really a problem for most people that do not lift their mouse up in gaming but i cant imagine it can be irritating to people that lift up their mouse alot.

Im still getting the mouse tho , i just love collecting stuff.

your palm doesnt rest entirely on the mouse if you havent noticed, its the center of your palm that rests on the back of the mouse and the thumb part that does all the holding of it, the rest is in the air anyway so those gaps arent any problem, you wont even feel them to begin with

This mouse is alot of luxury of having more customization. So it's not exactly a must have for gamers, just those who want that little extra :P Quite frankly I think it looks badass.
