Pople dont understand beauty.You can be very physically attractive but not beautiful.The beauty must shine through from inside from the soul and heart through th eyes/expression.RITA had this.Marilyn Monroe also had great NATURAL beauty.Its rare.Anjelina Jolie is physically attractive but not at all beautiful.To me thats the difference.The soul must shine through to augment the physical attractiveness.Anyway,Id say Rita was the most beautiful woman Ive ever seen.

Rita and Marilyn were more attractive than the majority of women because of their incredible femininity, shining smiles, magnetic aura. There are no women like them.

Three very beautiful and feminine women, with absolutely perfect and shining smiles on public, but in reality very insecure and unhappy. @gatabella3 yeah i can imagine what kind of retouching it was. the very first computer was invented in 1940. they could have done vey little with simpler means.

@iamsultana I assure you they could have done many things with retouching. Computer has nothing to with it. I've seen comparisons of photos. After 6 hours of retouching Joan Crawford looked 10 years younger in her pics, and instead of having lines, her skin looked flawless and shining.

@iamsultana gatabella3 is right. Just google 'Joan Crawford before and after' and you'll find a comparison between an unretouched and retouched photo. It took the gentleman who did the retouching 6 hours to complete. I used to think it was all lighting, camera angles, and makeup but they did retouch back then as well. They used light and dark pencil on the negatives to get the look they wanted, and when the photo was printed..ta-da!

Why I have never seen this before and it's been up for months! FABULOUS work! Such amazing candids. Were warmth shows through. She was at the peak of her career during the high point of the studio system; she was a new mother and was at the peak of her beauty. She was absolutely sensational. LOVE TO RITA!
