  • Plus the breaking point was before he reached fro the gear that's why the instructor went to grab a gear cause the car was not slowing down cause it had no brakes....people are fucking stupid and don't know what they are talking about

  • @turbopoe.... Your wrong. As you can see there is no brakes, the car doesn't pad up on the front at all. Also even if the rear tires locked it wouldn't stop the front tires from slowing down the car. Did you ever stop to think they just flipped going 150 plus and the driver maybe is dazed??

  • brakes are not at fault in this run. new driver is at fault... his teacher is the one chanting "turn the ignition off" .... the driver torque locked this viper in the transition sending it out of control. in other words he hit the wrong gear at the wrong speed and let the clutch off too quick and locked the rear. you will hear the tires scream right after he makes his shift for the turn.

  • Yah watching it closely.. Looks more like the driver just spaced on what was coming next.. The instructor threw his hands up when he thought the braking was coming a bit late.. BUt it was a bit way too late.. :)

  • @gomczx11 looks like there's an instructor with him, means he could be new guy. when your pedal goes to the floor for the first time, you should pump one more time to refresh from the instant panic and be sure it was real. then if the pedal goes to the floor again, use the gears. but driving at the limit usually includes braking at the last moment. when your brakes gone, your "last moment" is gone too.

  • No ABS=incredibly dangerous when racing. People who race without ABS are called professionals. You get a 3400+ pound vehicle getting real hot going into a turn and it's going be be a similar situation as being on ice. The tires lock and off you go.. into whatever will stop you ahead.

  • @alzenporsche93 there are a couple reasons, first breaks just failed, could have been heat build up on the brakes known as brake fade and because of that they won't work, and the car wouldn't turn in so they were going pretty quick.

  • Seriously? This happens a LOT on the track, you're putting tons of wear and tear on the car, something will ALWAYS break. Think of the heat the brakes produce.

  • That was not at Carolina. That was at Moroso back in 1998 cause I was there. The ABS ring on the wheel hub cut the stock brake hose because the heat from the brakes cause the plastic retaining clip to melt allowing the hose to fall.

  • @PixxByTango Yo, read my original posts from Keith7849 from 2 years ago. It was my school at Carolina in the fall of 2001. I had to deal with the incident papers. This is NOT the one you saw at Moroso. Not to mention I'm at CMP almost monthly. That's not Moroso's front straight. The brakes didn't fail, the driver faild to push the brakes and instead pushed the clutch (listen to the audio carefully, you'll here the die down everytime he clutches. It was 100% driver error and not the car.

  • Aha you are a total expert right ... when you try to use the engine for braking at these speeds it will not work ... if you were to down shift at the top of fourth gear you would have blown the gearbox or the engine ... dude at speeds of 100+mph you just can't use the the engine to brake ... and even if you would be somehow able to react so fast (few seconds or less) you wouldn't stop neerly fast enough to lessen the crash ... don't coment on stuff you don't understand you fuk**** idiot !!!!
