  • you all do such great work, wish you had a sponser that would help you out and get you a super slow motion camera thats something i would love to see slowed down to the max.

  • @MorbidAngelification if only they could get a 106 000 000 fps camera in that lab. that would be cool.

  • @thewii552 O.o Thats amazing there are cameras that shoot 106,000,000 fps. Wow, that would be quite the sight.

  • holy socks you vaporised that can

  • try a piece of tungsten or titanium would give an awsome lightshow!!

  • that thing is beast the music fits it perfectly

  • Hi, did you ever try to fire Thumper with a full, unopened can of Soda ? Maybe it will make caramel candies wrapped in aluminium foil... :) or it is just a bad idea, such experiment causing major Thumper failure, and creating a blackhole that will absorb the whole solar system :(

  • No, just a really, really big mess.

  • 1600 V * 80000 A = 128000000 Wattts

    128Meg watts !!???

For how many msec? burst rate? (Alotta caps?)

The power company must love you.

  • Discharge time is about 3uS, very, very short duration.

  • and Charge time? (or duty cycle?)

  • Right now just about 1min30sec with the charging setup we have now. We can get that as low as about 20sec if we really need to, but there's no point to it.

  • thats either 1) bullshit, or 2 you mean "ms" or milliseconds, last time i checked electroytics can not discharge nearly that fast...

  • milliseconds, yes, it was a typo. These are lytics, not pulse caps.

Though wait until you see Stomper ;) 60kV 500kA with Pulse caps, not lytics. It's a tiny god.

  • :O i wish i had the money for that.... or it would have been done a WHILE ago :p

  • You should be a member ;) I don't just build these things alone and for myself you know. This is a Group effort.

  • lol, you mean a part of the geek group? lol, i would love to, but im 15... and my highest energy iv experimented with was my 400v, 5kj capacitor bank.. lol. plus i live in Canada >_> do you have another means of contact? i do have some questions xD

  • I'd be happy to, if you'll clean up the massive sticky mess it leaves.

  • I DARE YOU to do that to a unopened full can of monster. flash boiled/ignited sugary liquid that sounds like fun.

  • yea but can it slay a lv 22 undead warlock?

  • why don't you use it with other shit?

  • we do

  • but... I mean... chickens, pigs, cats, spaghetti... cool things, would you? Do it and post the vids, pleeease

  • @mortemdei

    What the Hell, man?

  • ??? do you have a problem with what I said, can I help you???

  • You want them to put living creatures (or dead, for that matter; I can see a pig or a chicken, but a freaking cat?) on something which would cause them immense pain before killing them? Yes, I do have a problem with that.

I just now realized what your name is, and I now understand that a sick person with a name and a suggestion such as your own is not worth my time.

    Good day, Sir/Madam.

  • how do you know it would cause pain?

  • I've been shocked by 1,800V (and more) before, though not nearly that high of a current. Do you think people getting hit by lightning don't feel pain?

  • how should I know? That's what I want to find out

  • @ChrisKarr id say if the frequency is at the rate than maybe unless they die then definitly not

  • man that is too cool for words :P

would love ot see that with a super fast cam slowed right the way down

  • I second that. Call up Mythbusters, they'll probably do it.

  • dude...mythbusters working with the geek group. i think u have a world domination team right there ^_^
