I dont know why everyone is making such a big deal about her new look... I grew up with Donkey Kong 64 too and she was one of my favorite characters, but that doesn't mean she cant change style, so she grew up, her name "tiny" referred to her ability to shrink, not being really small to begin with! In any case she's still "Tiny" so accept it and move on!!

Why change Tiny Kong? She now looks like a teenager, she was always a teenager ever in donkey kong 64, but she looked like a little girl in that game. Besides I like her new design, she's really cute! ^_^

@magnus87 the reason why i think dixie hasnt grew up is because of diddy kong, remember that they are still a couple so it would look extremely akward to see diddy dating a much older looking dixie, and the reason why diddy wont change is cus we all know the diddy kong as the small cool ape of the DK crew :D

It's apparent that in DK64, Tiny was really young. Not just based on her size and the way she dressed, but also the way she sounds and acted.  Her walk animation was skipping, and her idle animation was playing with bombs while making baby noises.

The sounds she made were also really high pitch. I always thought she was about 8 years old.

I think that she might just have changed due to age... the tiny kong I remember from dk64 was about eight years old... with the personality of a bigger sister (sometimes mistaken as a teenagers personality). I always thought that Tiny was Diddy's bigger sister... That might be why I think so...That girl... Dixie is her name I think... She looks like or remind me of the old Tiny in a way... like she is about eight years now!

In Barrel Blast, you can't use the Bongos, correct?

Sadly no. This is easily it's greatest flaw as it WAS designed for the bongos originally, but when moved to Wii they removed bongo support, so now you basically play with simulated bongos via the Wiimote and Nunchuck.

That said, it does use some buttons so the gameplay DID evolve a bit PAST the bongos at least.

I think they stil should have kept the Bongos since that was the original concept. I also would have bought this game if Nintendo had done so. I forgot why I didn't get this game until recently I questioned if you could use the bongos.

Okay I found out the truth behind Tiny, Chunky, and Lanky being in DK64. Production on DK64 started immediately after they finished DKC and at that time there was no Dixie or Kiddy so that explains the character choices. So they most likely loosley based Dixie and Kiddy off of the DK64 Kongs rather then using them in the sequels to DKC.

Well I like the original look way better. But the new look isn't bad. She not that much taller then Diddy I still like her way better then Dixie. Also BTW I'm beginning to doubt that she and Dixie are related to Kiddy and Chunky. As in DKC3 it seems to me that by cousinst they don't mean relative. If they did they'd also be related to Donkey Kong.

Also I want Kiddy and Chunky back too. Barrel Blast seems lacking without them. Kiddy was supposed to be in DKR on the Gamecube.
