Cool ...nice bird ...agree with you Tower pro was border line for tail, many review said not fast enough for your tail ...can saw your tail is drift ....what was in your mind for next tail servo ? cheer ...5 star ..
I'm thinking the best servo prospect would be the Hyperion DS20 with the T-Rex 600 tail servo holder.
The tail currently has very little drift on the TowerPro MG930, and it seems fast enough to keep up with climb-outs. The cheap Mystery G401B Gyro might be to blame for any drifting, though it does not cause me any trouble in flight.
I also have Mystery G401B using Fitec 9257 0.09s analog servo at my Copterx 450 ...it also have driff but after did some trim ..is ok and hold solid for 450 size ...i belive this gyro need fast servo ...
@mbmatesa Depending on the choice of gyro, they can also be too fast.
Its the usual 'gamble' of finding a cost effective servo and gyro combo that will work together best. I don't see much wrong in this video though, hardly any drift if there is any.
How do you like those servos.Ijust ordered 3 for cyclics for the same heli. Iam going to add a logitech 6100t gyro servo combo and a hobbymate 3650 motor with a 80amp plush turnigy speed controller.
The servos work fine, been through 7 flights so far and they are very responsive with plenty of torque. Eventually I plan on upgrading to a standard sized servo for the tail, as the TowerPro MG930's are borderline for tail control (speed is fine but torque is a bit on the weak side).
nice heli. i was wondering how those towerpro servos are holding up. i just ordered 3 for the cyclics on same heli. im usung a hobbymate motor and logitech 6100t gyro servo combo. only thing worrying me are those servos.
