the soundtrack for this movie is just so beautiful. i recognize each track and which part of the movie it's from and i've only watched the movie twice (so far.) with most movies, i don't even notice the soundtrack.

This is such an amazing piece of music. When I listen to it, a wave of memories from my short 15 year old life come flashing back. It makes me think of all the great times I spent with my folks and all the great things I had done, and it makes me sad that I will never be as happy as I was when I was a little 4 year old. It makes we want to close my eyes and cry, and I don't care if im a 15 year old boy in my Sophomore year in high school.

It isn't just about Truman within a reality tv show. It's about our own evolution as we question the existence of God(s). One day we will find the answer, the core, the "Wall" Truman breaks... And we will confront whatever made us. Was it all destiny set by a superior being who has watched us since the beginning? Or was it the power of our own will? And what if we encounter this being at the end of our process, will it let us be, once we know it all? Don't fool yourself. This movie is very deep.

@MyHeadAsplodes i like that idea very much, especially considering the movie never shows what's outside.

i thought ed harris's performance was absolutely amazing; the scene where he 'composes' truman's reunion with his father is the best acting i've ever seen, transcendental. 'there's no more truth out there... stay here and be safe'... yes, very like religion indeed.

your idea is kind of similar to the idea that the film is an allegory to the allegory of the cave.

It's the third movement of Piano Sonata No. 11 in A Major (K. 331) by Mozart, 'Alla Turca', often called the Turkish Rondo. Unfortunately it wasn't included on the soundtrack CD for some reason :(

well actually it is best known as Rondo Alla Turca, by Mozart. It was not included on the soundtrack, because it is a song composed by Mozart, not by Philip or the other guy..
