  • Nice playing man! I imagine you can play this piece every second of the night and day....maybe you just fell out of your bunk bed and headed straight for your Gibson...

  • that guitar has a fuckin sexy sound

  • Nice, a little different from how i play it but good. I know how it's jazz but people could fall asleep from watching you play, a little energy please. :) Nice job

  • Great Version of this Song. Is it in normal tuning? The key you play it in sounds just right and really sits up on the neck.

Do you have a tab for this song or recommend a book.

Did you learn it by ear.

Anyway I thought you done a great job and was nice to listen to...

  • People who play hollowbodies are awesome fucking people.

    I play a hollowbody, see.

  • @KimJongSick Ah I see, so you just want to state that you can't have a unbiased opinion. ;D

No matter, music is a subjective thing anyway. ;)

  • @Thundermaned Pretty much, yeah :D

  • great job. you should got to Berklee School of music. this could be your audition song. thats the first thing i thought of when i saw this video.

  • For those who is it too faast: downloade Best Practice so you can slow it way down with no pitch lost. You can even adjust the key. I use the programm, it is a free dowload.

  • genius ! ... very smooth style !!

  • Great but I think if you slow down the tempo it will be much better. At this speed it sounds a little bit.. funny.. No offense there dude.

  • sweet!

  • Hey Man...That was really good...`Supa-Chops`...You might be surprised what else there is in that tune...I would like to hear you play it again..at an easier tempo...slow it down give yourself some room to move and relax...you may be amazed ...at what you will come up with...all of those un-played fills... that are out there..!!

  • Wow. That is incredible. You are really good.

  • Really good!

  • Good job.

  • nice

  • Wow, that was really amazing! Nice work.

  • Really nice technic. But I feel like your rushing it trough.

    Keep it up.

  • @Aureliomelis go watch the Brubeck, at his 1966 concert....he's not rushing it..........

  • @Aureliomelis yeah and you look so bored

  • Very, VERY, nice. There are a few solo guitar versions of Take 5 here on YouTube. Yours is, by far, the best. Very smooth. Good Job.

  • check out george bensons

  • Very good, young man!!

  • god, that was ridiculously melodious. You should play that on a harp or something. I'd never remember so many chord frames

  • wow.. sweeet

  • DO you have the tab ?

  • Actually he did =D Many attribute it to Dave Brubeck, but it's a mistake. Take Five was composed by the quartets saxophonist Paul Desmond

  • Yes he did - it says so in the original sheet music. He is playing really well though!

  • Uhhhh pretty sure he did dude.

  • they found sheets of take five that is dated 3 years before paul desmond pronounced the tribute to Dave Brubeck quartet

  • Paul Desmond DID write this.

  • anyways, its a nice song. Some conspiracy theories says that Desmond didn't write it. But he definitely mastered it.. it is HIS song.. i just dont think he wrote it.. to much evidence..

  • Really grreat! It is very close to my view of this theme)

  • awesome work man

  • really nice work man!!! ... partly a little fast but very nice

  • Hey, my name is Collin with two L's too. I think you're only the second person I've seen who spells it that way.

  • Wow, nice final with harmonics!

  • hey that was really gd but the song is actually by dave brubeck, don't mean to be a d*ck but i thought i'd let you know.

  • Paul Desmond is the guy who wrote the song, he was playing saxophone in the Dave Brubeck quartet

  • man, that was really sick. Loved every second.

  • that must be so hard,

  • ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ ಠ_ಠ

  • Awesome harmonics!

  • Excellent arrangement, Although The little flourish at the end was a bit gay. Top marks for the rest.

  • fooke yé trop bon

  • Another option to correcting the face problem is to redo all your videos wearing a mask. This will correct the problem and eliminate half of the comments. Just kidding. It sounded great and I was personally looking at the guitar the whole time.

  • Excellent arrangement, wonderful feeling. Well done.

  • home come your bed is made here but not when i come over???

  • brilliant!

  • its beautiful man :D but try to add some emotion it looks a bit dry .. as we say in holland. but still nice job;)

  • nice one cheers

  • That was good, but it seems like you have a problem with tempo like me. Try to slow down a little. And had more feeling....in other words more dynamics....where's the climax? Where's the excitements. You've done a great job on it, better than I could do, but now you and I have to work on slowing our work down and adding the "feeling". Keep it up.

  • grat job man;] really;]

i know that it's hard too control face;] but you have to try;] you look strange;]

    more feeling;]

  • sorry, but where is the feeling?

  • whoa man blow us away

  • You are amazing..............

  • great tempo with greater clarity. excellent. so young yet so very talented.

  • wow... :) between the best unknow players.. bravo! :)

  • AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful!!

  • very nice

  • Simply Amazing!!

  • you like so hhappy when you play this song !!

  • Nice. Who did the arrangement, you?

  • Your take five video is the best!

  • Good Job. You Should have taken a solo, though..

  • Wonderful, the main part is played fantastically yet casually as it should be, the solo parts feel a tad rushed but otherwise great.

  • You should work on making your playing smoother. When you play through the changes, it's very choppy. Especially during the bridge. Sounds nice though.

  • you are going too fast.just SLOW DOWN.

  • jealous?

  • haha yeah.

    i am.

mad props man. very clean playing.

  • I am.

  • amazing job, love it... not much else to say

  • excelente interpretacion del tema.Y la imorvisacion ?

  • try to smile and to feel the music when you're playing! it'll be beter but it's a good job

  • OMG it's wonderfull

  • I bet you have some mighty proud parents. All three of my sons play, and play real good. Keep it up man, even if you choose not to go pro. You have a talent that makes people smile.

  • that was great man

  • that was good

  • do you have a relative called paul that plays jazz? is that a greg bennet lasalle? sorry for all the questions i had a teacher named paul and i own a greg bennet lasalle. good stuff man

  • its sounds nice but it sounds even better when theres a guitar duet one person playing the take five solo and the other playing the chord progression Ebm to Bbm7.

  • smile. losting in skill, memorizing and showing. thus, there is no soul. feel it.

  • goood jooob 5/5

  • you're the best guitar player in youtube

  • hey man great job

  • awesome!!

  • tabs?

  • tabs?

  • whooooowa! nice!

  • Excellent!!!

  • yeaaaaaaah exelent very good

  • nice!

but i think Brubeck wrote this tune.

  • yes You`re right!

  • actually...paul desmond but whatev lol

  • actually, you're wrong and he's right.

    faggot.

  • actually, you're wrong and he's right.

    faggot.

  • nope it was desmond

  • there seems to be a lot of dispute, even name calling about this so let me clear it up. the first appearance of "take 5" was on desmond and dave's "bluebird suite" album. this album was made with a bunch of screwy time sigs. later dave would say "the reason wrote this album? well, i would be pretty embarrassed if aliens came to earth and heard all this music in 4/4 time. i don't think i'd be able to show my face in space again!".

  • Take Five" is a classic jazz piece first recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet and released on its 1959 album Time Out, although the single itself was released two years later. Composed by Paul Desmond, the group's saxophonist, it became famous for its distinctive, catchy saxophone melody and use of quintuple time, from which the piece got its name.

    thats from wikipedia

  • No, Paul Desmond wrote it when Brubeck asked his band members to think of some tunes. Paul Desmond was Brubeck's saxophone player at the time and came back with this tune. Brubeck had very little involvement in the final piece's tune; he did help arrange it, and it was recorded under the name of Brubeck's group, but sole writing credit goes to Desmond.

  • Excellent ! Aucune faute !

    Félicitations ! :)

  • bravo comunque col blocca tastiera è piu bello

  • Really good. Awesome vid.

  • TAKE FİVE
