@uversa777 I like this version. I also think that Tom Verlaine's is better, so maybe this is Bowie's way of covering the song: doing it nearly exactly the way Tom did since there is no better way to perform it.
This is the song that got me listening to Bowie, something in that special vibrato caught in some lines of this song just caught me..

@romanticandperky Rimbaud wrote Une Saison en enfer before going to East Africa; and Harar is in Ethiopia (then Abyssinia), not Somalia.
