Hurricane Ike Aftermath 9am (3) (Nasa, Clear Lake Park)

I can't believe it's been almost a year since Ike. I had never been through anything like that in my life. It wasn't too bad where I was (Friendswood), but I work at the restaurant by Big Texas in Nasa 1. We were out of commision for 6 months due to storm damage.

Been by there receintly. It's flourishing fast, and getting a facelift at every corner. I think everyone took advantage of the insurance opportunities and are better off than they were. ...Exept, of course, the couple that owned the land where my boat was. Did you here? No joke, the wife took her own life, and commited suicide. The property was completely destroyed and had no insurance. Devistaded her. I really felt for him.

i live in La porte which is about fifteen minutes away i guess but we went gto go see kemah all under water. sad thing to see were u made so many memories completely destroyed

just drove through CL Forest lots of trees down but all in all they fared well. Really hard to get around that area, plus they had a FEMA dist. center open at the park which made traffic on Nasa 1 impassable. Clear Lake has some damage but compared to Boliver and other areas we're doing fine. Just got my power back on!!! God bless the man who invented AC!
