I was there on august 2nd. Yes, their wasn't alot of people but I can honestly say that their was tremendous talent there. It gave me chills! Puerto Rico was able to show how much talent there really is here. Even though their was not that many people, we definitely left our mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that they hate Idol, but the Puerto Ricans are not interested in a reality show broadcast on FOX and by the way, the majority of the Puerto Ricans, does not watch the US TV broadcast like FOX. They go with the Spanish language TV broadcast and Univision is one of them, which offers a similar Idol contest called "Objetivo Fama" that runs in the USA on Telefutura Network.

It's kind true, but still many puertorricans, especially in the 90's thru now people have cable and we're getting more used to watching they're programing. But still, it's true that many watch "Objetivo Fama" over Idol. But also, I think the auditions weren't very well promoted, because I've known people that we're excited to know about the auditions and didn't even know they were happening.

Many of us prefer MTV, FOX, VH1 and ABC to Univisión...I work in Objetivo Fama, but I encourage most of my students to try out for American Idol.
