If you use regular yarns, like Red Heart or something similar, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't wrap it too tightly. The same goes for using two strands at once. However, using specialty yarns with a lot of texture can make it tighter. I have a yarn (similar to Homespun, but more scraggly) that is difficult to pull over, especially when used with another strand. All I can say for that is to wrap it gently and loosely.
