  • @lilhillary1 ya its weird- because in the new one its a female. In the newer version they actually use a mare to play Black Beauty

  • @msbforever in the 1994 film both Black Beauty and Ginger are played by geldings - Black Beauty is played by a quarter horse called Docs Keepin' Time, and Ginger is played by an ex-racehorse called High Tower. both horses are also in the film "The Horse Whisperer", where High Tower plays Pilgrim and Docs Keepin Time plays Gulliver :)

  • lousy Brit landlords... I believe this movie takes place in England of the mid 1800's, though filmed in Ireland. I can see this SOB landlord throwing Irish off lands they owned at one time.. Good movie though..
